Dadima and Rano brought Geet home. Geet was still in the same state, aloof and silent. Geet observed the surroundings of the Khurana Mansion. She was sure of one thing that they are very rich. She was a little conscious now, she had never seen all these luxuries, she feels like she doesn't belong to this place as all her life her aunty cursed her and blamed her of being unfortunate and made her feel like a trash. Dadima asked her to sit but she was a little apprehensive. Dadima sensed her consciousness and said, "Beta isse apna hi ghar samajhye". She consciously sat on the couch. Rano brought juice for her. Rano then asked her, "Beta aapka naam kya hai?", Geet remained mum, she got afraid, her hands started shivering thinking they (Brij and his men) were definitely searching her and if she tell her name then one day they will definitely find her. So she was scared of telling her name. Dadima thought that something bad happened in her past and that's why she gets scared whenever anyone asks her name. Dadima intervened, "Beta bhool jaiye jo kuch bhi hua tha, ab aapke saath hum hai, hum aapke saath kuch galat nahi hone dege". Geet looked at Dadima and tears welled in her eyes, after a long-long time she felt the motherly love in Dadima; she was craving for this love and care. Dadima smiled and tenderly touched her cheek, "Beta ye sochiye aaj se aapki nayi zindagi shuru hui hai. Aaj ke baad hum aapse kabhi aapka naam nahi puchhege kyuki aaj hum aapko ek naya naam dege, ek nayi zindagi. Aaj se aapka naam hai Mishti, hamari pyaari Mishti. Aaj se hum aapki Dadima hai or ye aapki Rano ma", Rano added, "Ha beta aapko kabhi bhi koi bhi pareshaani ho aap mujhe ya Maaji ko bata sakti hai or aaj se aap kabhi bhi apne past ke baare me sochegi nahi". Geet nodded in yes with tears and hugged Dadima and Rano. Maan was oblivious of everything.
A week passed in bliss. Khurana Mansion was busy in the wedding preparation of Maan Singh Khurana. Geet knew from Rano that Dadima's grandson is going to get married. She had seen his photos hanging on the walls of the Mansion but had not met him. She also knew that he was a busy man and come late in the night. Geet shared room with Rano as Dadima and Rano didn't want to leave her alone until she comes out of her dark past and be comfortable with them. One day early in the morning, Geet was sleeping in Rano's room which was on the first floor. Suddenly she heard the screaming of someone and she woke up scared. Geet thought, "Ye kiske chillane ki aawaz hai...?". She came out of the room to see the owner of this screaming early in the morning. She saw that down in the hall a man was standing in vest and trouser and all the servants were in a line bowing their head and might be shivering with fear. She couldn't see the face of him, only his back was visible as she was standing upstairs. She thought who could be this man, then she remembered about Dadima's grandson, "Ha ye Maanji hi hoge". Maan was angry as he didn't get his juice on time. So he thought it's high time he should have to take a class of the servants. Maan roared in high pitch voice, "Maine tum logo ko adopt nahi kiya hai kaam par rakha hai...so it would be better you all do your work sincerely", moving a few steps towards them and they all got hell scared, "warna tum log sapne me bhi nahi soch sakte ki mai tumhare saath kya karuga". And he went from there. Even Geet was very scared, she came in her room and was thinking about Maan only, "Ye to bahut gussa karte hai, aunty se bhi jyada...or inki aawaz, wo to bilkul bijli ke jhatke jaisi hai". Geet was very scared that she decided she would not come in front of him, "Mai kabhi inke saamne nahi jaogi, pata nahi inko kab kis baat par gussa aa jaye".
Another week passed in a flow. It was just one week for Maan's marriage and everyone was hell busy. Geet didn't come in front of Maan. At breakfast and dinner time she made one or the other reason and had her meals in her room. Only the lunch she took with Dadima and Rano. Even Dadima and Rano didn't pester her for that as they both were aware of Maan's nature.
One day Dadima and Rano were discussing about the menu in the hall. Geet too was sitting with them and was silently having her tea. Then the phone rang, it was from an unknown number, Dadima took it, "Hello Savitri Khurana speaking", the other side, "Hello Mrs. Khurana aap jaldi se ABC hospital aa jaiye, Mr. Maan Singh Khurana ka accident ho gaya hai...".
