Next morning Priya lazily wakes up.. Orders breakfast (Dosa and Strong filter coffee) at the Room itself... Priya knows that Ajay and her colleagues would have driven back last night or early this morning. She had specifically told Ajay not to disturb by calling in the morning. She will call once she is up... Switches on the TV... and random news channel to see what is happening around... Just relaxing... Receives a text message... It is from her Mother.

" Send me a message when you are leaving Mysore. Aur Haan, email kiya?"

Maa will not leave me... I better email this person.. So called .. Ram... But what will I write? How do I?... Start with something... She types a few lines... But deletes it... this happens a couple of times and finally she has a reasonable draft... here it is..

Hello Ram,

I am Priya. How are you? I am sure you are aware of our parents in touch with each other with regard to our marriage proposal. I got your email id from my mother, and she mentioned that you wanted to do an intro thro' email. I never done this before.. So not sure how to go about it either...

I am not sure how much you know about me and my family. But here it goes..

I am 28-yrs old, an Asst.Prof in Bangalore, living with my father, mother and a younger brother. We have been in Bangalore for 15 years now. My father works for a local bank, retires in 6 months. Mother also worked for a bank and Brother is working for an MNC, just begun. Love the place. I guess that's it.

Priya is re reading this draft a couple of times... not sure if she should change anything... Forget it.. I am not spending more time on it... Just send it... She is about to hit the send button.. but hesitates... decides to save the draft... Let me send it later.. My mind is not at all working on this matter... And the email gets saved in the draft folder...

Priya then looks at her work email Inbox to clear out a few work emails. She sees an email from Anjali - student who wanted to discuss the course work. She looks at her calendar... tries to setup a time for Anjali... She finds a slot on Friday afternoon. Emails Anjali... and sets it up on her calendar...

Her mind starts to think of writing proposal for different grant agencies/ companies for her work. She takes out the business card that she got from Abhay at K&S pharma.

I am Dr Sharma, from JNCSAR institute in Bangalore. During the ABC conference in Mysore, I had the opportunity to visit your company stall. I was delighted to meet an excellent employee Mr Abhay Singh from your company. He was very resourceful, and explained your products to me.

I am not sure if you got the opportunity to listen to my talk during the conference on Monday afternoon (She goes on to explain her work in detail). I believe my work closely relates to your product lines. I am currently looking to expand my research and looking for companies that will fund my work in this realm. I would be delighted to discuss this further with you and your company.

Looks and re-reads... and hits the send button. She finishes this email within minutes... unlike the draft -personal email.. Why can' I write personal emails... easily... Never mind... Will take a look at that personal email after I reach home or... after Maa pesters me again...Priya calls her friend to confirm the place and time for the lunch. She packs her stuff and checks out from the hotel to have lunch with her friend.

Vikram calls Ram in the morning ...

Vikram: Good morning Ram.

Ram: Good morning Vikram. Kaiso ho yaar? Itni subah? Kuch hua kya?

Vikram: I am good yaar. There is an issue at the company.

Ram: Oh oh.. What's up?

Vikram: I met with the regulatory authorities... they are going to audit us on coming Monday. Nothing to be alarmed.. You know na they do one annual audit.. they like to give only a few days' notice...

Ram: Annual audit... Yani ki stressful days till it is over..

Vikram: Yes... the issue is figuring out who is available for this audit... and working around it.

Ram: I guess you are right... Y don't you call a meeting in an hour or so... I will join you via video conferencing. We can discuss the approach and decide on who is doing what.

Vikram: Ok.. Will do that. Sorry yaar... you might have to put your plans on hold.. By the way what was your plan for the day?

Ram: Its ok yaar.. Kuch khas nahi.. I was planning on going to visit the palace here this morning and drive to Bangalore after that. I meeting Mr Mahesh na in the evening.. and also dinner with him...

Vikram: So palace cancelled then... It's beautiful I have heard.

Ram: Yeah... Anyway.. My flight to Mumbai on Thursday is early in the morning .. 6 AM. So I will be able to come to work on Thursday.

Vikram: Ok... Good.. we will need you here. Will message the time of this meeting and who will be there for it..

Ram: Ok.. Chalo.. I will pack my stuff and be ready to check out from here... once this conference is done...

Ram requests for a late check-out, gets ready and packs his stuff.

Meanwhile Vikram setups the meeting in an hour. He finds Dr Sharma's email.. Just reads the first few lines... and decides this has to wait for now.. Audit is the focus.. Puts her email in the to-do/ task list... for next Tuesday. But he takes a brief moment to respond to her email...

Dr Sharma,

Thanks for contacting me. I am extremely busy with company audits. Will get back to you next week.

As Ram is waiting for the meeting to begin, he is sifting through his personal email. He sees his mother's email again... In this stressful time I need to email... But maybe this will help me relax... and then starts his email to Priya...

Ram here. I own and run a company with my friend in Mumbai, and that keeps me very busy. So Email is the best way to contact me.. I am glad you are ok with us doing intros through an email.

I have a mother, and 2 siblings. My father passed away 10 years ago. Since then I completed my studies and have been working for my family...

As Ram is writing this email... Vikram calls and asks him to come on video conference... Ram is thinking.. wow.. Did I take that long to write this email?... I am not even done... He saves the email as draft... And signs out... Starts the video conference...

Priya has lunch with friend.. drives back to Bangalore.

Ram also finishes his video conference and travels to Bangalore. Checks in the hotel, and gets ready to Mr Mahesh. He has a very successful meeting with him...
