TOI:Three actresses walk on fire and glass

We would like to believe it's a coincidence, but the sequences of three shows " Uttaran, Qubool Hai and Humsafars " make us wonder at the striking similarity of their tracks.

Tina Dutta, who plays Meethi in Uttaran, had to walk across burning coals for an episode that aired recently. A similar fire-walking sequence was shot in Humsafars, featuring protagonist Arzoo (Shivya Pathani).

Qubool Hai also had considered something similar. The show was supposed to have Amrapali Gupta, who plays antagonist Tanveer, walking over shards of glass. However, it was changed at the last minute.



"Initially, the plan was to drag the suspense of Tanveer getting her eye-sight back. The drama of which was to be highlighted by getting her to walk on broken glass. But the makers decided to advance the track, and showed her stepping aside from the glass stretch," says a source.
