Chapter 15

Mandy looked at Rey and Taani. She gulped as she felt sad that Rey was supporting the person whom she was against. Taking a deep breath in she walked towards the car. Once again she turned and glanced at them, Rey was still convincing Taani that he's gonna fix things. Is this what she thought him?

"Maine tumhe humesha yahi sikhaya ki tum right ka saath do Rey! Ye galat logo ko support karna kaha se sikha tumne?" asked hurt and disappointed Mandy.

Rey and taani looked at Mandy, both of them could see the pain in her eyes, pain of betrayal. Rey walked towards Mandy,

"Tumne muje ye bhi toh sikhaya hai na Mandy ki humesha apne dil ki suno! Jo humari dil ke kareeb hai unhe support karo! No matter even if the world is against them?"

Mandy smiled out of disappointment as she walked away from them and removed their bags out of her car.

"I need a break from you guys!" she whispered.

Rey nodded his head in a no as he grabbed Mandy from behind, "Mandy please!! I know tum upset ho but please understand, I really Love Taani! Wo waisi nai hai jaise tum soch rai ho! Give her a chance"

Mandy sighed as she removed his hands off her, "Rey! Jab tumare sar se ye love ka bhoot utar jayega na.tab tum mujse baat karna! Right Now you are out of your senses!"

Taani ran behind Mandy as she sat inside her car, "Mandy please don't be upset with Rey. Isme uski koi galti nai hai, Wo toh bus tumhe hurt nai karna chahta tha. He genuinely cares about you. "

Taani kept convincing mandy but she wasn't in the mood to listen. Paying no attention to Taani's words Mandy started the engine and took off. Taani covered her face as she watched Mandy's car disappear in the dust. Immediately she turned and faced Rey. He stood still, just watching Mandy go away. Taani without wasting any time went and grabbed him for a hug.

"I'm sorry rey, this is my fault"

Rey caught Taani's waist, he was sad for what happened but he didn't blame Taani for it,

"galati meri hai Taani. Maine Mandy ko kabhi jooth bolna hi nai chaiye tha"

Taani sighed and broke the hug by giving a peck on his forehead, they both shared a sad smile and then she walked and picked up her bag,

"Chalo! Ab sab itna upset ho gaye hai toh unhe manana toh padega na?" said Taani dusting her bag.

Rey gave a soft laugh and picked his bags, "Yeah! I'm sure Mandy seedha ghar jayegi! So hum bhi chalte hai and use convince karte hai."

Taani didn't move from her place, "Rey main meri family ki baat kar rahi thi. We should go and meet my parents first"

Rey frowned his eyebrows, "Taani, Mandy bohot betrayed feel kar rahi hai. She needs me!"

"Yeah!! And my family was ready to get me in the house but ab wo mujse aur bhi upset ho chuke hai! All thanks to you" said Taani in a sarcastic tone.

Rey nodded his head, he stared at her for few minutes and then instead of talking he just walked and hugged her.

"Baby please meri baat ko samjho! Hum tumhare parents ke paas jayenge! I promise! but right now Mandy needs me!"

Taani cleared her throat and answered back, "Baby?"

This was new to her, Rey addressing her with these cute nick names!! she was used to him calling her dilliwali girlfriend or balika vadhu' but baby was kinda new yet cute.

Rey blushed a little as he nodded his head, Taani smiled at him as she broke the hug and put on her bag pack, "ye maska apne pas rakho! Hum pehle toh mere ghar hi jayenge"

Rey gulped as he realized that Taani was way more stubborn than he thought she would be.

After walking for few hours Taani and Rey finally reached outside her home, standing near the gate she could see her dad working in the garden! Taani's lips ran dry and she turned to walk away, but Rey caught her wrist,

"Rey forget it. Tum thik keh rahe the! Hume Mandy ke paas jana chaiye!"

"Are you serious Taani! Tum gate ke paas khadi ho, tumhare dad andar hai and now you want to back off?"

Taani frowned her eyebrows, "That's exactly what I'm saying Rey, wo hume yaha dekhne se pehle bhag jate hai. Bada drama hoga! Lets go!"

"No." Rey commanded as he pulled her closer. "Tumari saari problem ka ek hi solution hai right?? Bhag jana? Har situation se bhag jati ho! Face karo unhe Taani. Its not as difficult as you think! You're dad loves you. He'll be fine!"

Taani nodded her head and was about to defend herself when she heard her dad yell,

"Koun hai waha"

Taani's eye popped out. Rey signaled her with her eyes to turn and face her dad, He was there!! Standing on the other side of the gate, staring at Rey and some girl who looked exactly like her daughter from the back.

Breathing heavily Taani turned and looked at him straight into the eyes. Rey held her hands tighter; he could feel her body which was all frozen.

"Daddyji wo kaise hai aap?" asked Taani

He looked at her, all angry but yet you could see it in his eyes he was glad Taani was safe and alive. Taani took a step forward and hesitated but then caught the gate as she spoke up.Her dad looked straight into her eyes, if looks were weapon, the piercing look in there could have caused serious destruction. But Taani had to keep going; she couldn't give up just there,

"maine apko bohot baar samajane ki koshish ki, muje shaadi nai karni thi!! Main ye nai keh rahi hu ki SHivam galat ladka hai ya phir wo family galat hai mere liye! Wo bohot acha ladka hai. Muje bohot khush rakhta wo.Muje usse koi problem nai tha. He is a perfect marriage material."

Although Rey knew Taani was trying to pacify her dad but hearing this actually cracked his heart a little. For some reason he felt jealous. It was nothing to be upset about, but he felt jealous! He let Taani's hand off but Taani was too engrossed in talking to her dad to realize it.

"Daddyji aap please ek baar meri situation ke bare mein toh sochiye na! Please! Main ye nai keh rahi hu ki main galat nai hu! Haan maine bhagna nai chaiye tha! But I didn't have a choice!"

Taani's dad sighed and then glanced at Rey, then he stared at their bag packs and looked at Taani again, "Besharam ladki! " he whispered. "dusre ladke ke saath muh kala karke ayi ho aur keh rahi ho ki didn't have a choice?"

Rey stopped breathing right there! Her dad was getting it all wrong! Taani just frowned her eyebrows as she turned and glanced at the person whom her father was staring.

"Nai daddyji aapj galat samaj rahe ho!!" she noded her head as she spoke, "Rey toh muje Himalayan trip pe mila! Jaise aap soch rahe ho waisa bilkul nai hai"

"Toh kaisa hai Taani???" yelled Taani's dad.

Taani shut her eyes as she took a deep breath out. She was about to speak up as her mother walked out,

"Kya hua aap aise chilla kyu rahe ..." she stopped right there. "Taani puttar?"she whispered with tears brimming in her eyes.

"Mumma!!" Taani called out. "Mumma ,kaise hai aap??"

"Taani puttar tu kaha chali gayi thi? Pata hai kitna pareshann hue the sab? Phone nai, kuch nai? Aur uss din tum ayi kyu nai hume milne? Pata hai kitni der intezaar kia beta !! hum gabra gaye ki kahi kuch galat toh nai hua mere bacche ke saath!! aur hum toh.."

"bas karo Kalyani!!" Yelled her dad, " Ye ladki apna muh kala karke ,humari bachhi kuchhi izzat bhi mitti mein milane ayi hai ab is launde ke saath" interrupted Taani's dad pointing towards Rey.

Rey had heard enough

"Sir aap jaise soch rahe hai waisa kuch nai hai. we are just good friends"

Surprised Taani looked at Rey! What is he talking? Just good friends? She was shocked and confused just like her dad. Did he just deny their relationship? They just started dating one night ago, did Rey already forget it?

She stared at him for few minutes and then at her dad who nodded his head,

"Kalyani andar chalo! Ab humara iss ladki ke saath koi lena dena nai hai. Jiske saath bhag gayi thi usike saath rehne do ise"

Taani watched her dad drag her mother inside the house and close the door. She stood there holding the gate tightly. She laid her head on the gate trying to be calm and think positive when she heard Rey clear his throat. Now she had to clear out what he said.

"So we are just friends haan???" asked Taani as she folded her hands, blinking her eyes furiously.

Rey frowned his eyebrows and raised his hands in the air as he spoke in a sarcastic tone, "whoa!! Shivam perfect marriage material hai!! Wo tumhe bohot khush rakhta! He is so perfect!! Aur Rey toh just muje Himalayan trip pe mila hai. !!Jaisa tum soch rahe ho waisa kuch nai hai??"

Taani opened her mouth out of anger and confusion. While Rey put his hands in his pocket looking in the other direction.
