"Hello There My Darlings." Viren Said As He Stood Leaning On The Door Frame Of His Room Staring At The Mother Son Duo Who Were Having Fun Around Each Other.
"Dada." Was All An Ecstatic Abhi Could Say On Seeing His Father After Four Days And He Dashed To Be Lifted By Him. Jeevika Just Stood Up Smiling A Contended Smile. Viren Has Been Away For So Long The First Time Ever Since Abhi Was Born. And By The Looks She Knew How much They've Missed Each Other. Jeevika Stared At Her Husband Who Was Now Approaching Her With Their Son In His Arms Telling His Father With Gestures How Much He Loved Him And How Much He Had Missed Him.
"Dada, My Gifts?" Abhi Asked. While He Settled In His Father Lap On The Bed.
"Abhi's Gifts? Didn't Abhi Get Loads And Loads Of Them On His Birthday?" Abhi Was All Grown Up Now, A Two Years Little Kid. Sharp As His Father And Sweet As His Mother.
"But You Away For So Many Days..."He Said Showing His Four Fingers. "Abhi Should Get Some 'That' You Know?" He Said Pouting.
"And What might That Be Son?" Jeevika Asked.
"What Dada Tells You To Give When You Avoid Him...Competitition..." Said Abhi Looking Expectantly At His Father.
"Oh, 'Compensation'." Viren Winked At A Now Blushing Jeevika. "You Are Right. So Tell Me What Do You Want?"
"Dada You And I Go To Church?" Said Abhi While Jeevika Admired Her Son.
"Abhi Doesn't Wants Any Gifts Then?" Asked Viren.
"No. I Oni Want You And Me To Go Church." He Half Said And Half Demanded.
"Okay Then. We'll Go Today Evening? Can We Take Your Mumma Along?" Viren Asked Teasingly Eyeing Jeevika.
"No, No. Me And Dada. And No One." Now That Was No New Response For Jeevika. But Viren Enjoyed To Annoy Her. He Would Tease Her How Abhi Always Wanted His Father And Him To Go Alone To Parks Or To Church. He Would Go With Jeevika Only To Doctors Whenever Necessary And For Shopping. Jeevika Just Eyed The Father-Son Duo And Left The Room For Kitchen.
It Was 7:30 In The Evening. Abhi And Viren Were Still Not Back. Jeevika Paced In The Living Room Impatiently.
"I Swear Your Brother's Dead Today!" Jeevika Said To Virat.
"Calm Down Bhabhi. They'll Back By Now, It's Not That Bad Weather. Not Too Cold. Abhi Will be Alright..." Virat Said Trying To Convince His Bhabhi.
"I Wouldn't Care If It Was About The Weather. But I Know You Brother Too Well And His Son Too. Abhi Won't Let Go Off This Chance Of Eating Ice-Cream And Your Brother Won't Hesitate Fulfilling His Son's Wish!" She Said Heatedly.
"So Are We In Trouble?" Viren Asked Walking Along With Abhi Inside The Sitting Area Holding Hands.
"Not Until I Know The Truth!" She Glared At The Duo.
"Mumma, I No Eat Ice-Cweam, Dada No Give To Me." Abhi Said Innocently To His Mother.
"Telling Lie?" Jeevika Asked Abhi Who Shook His Head In An Answer. Jeevika Waited For Abhi To Answer Further But He Was Quite.
"As Abhi Would Get Sick, Abhi's Dada Promised Him Some Other Treat Instead Of Ice-Cweam..." Said Viren Picking Up Abhi And Edging Towards Jeevika. Virat Had Disappeared A Few Minutes Before To Go Inform Vanshika That Viren And Abhi Were Back.
"Okay, Go Get Freshen Up. And Then We'll See What I'm Going To Do Of You Two For Being An Hour Late. Got Me And Mom Worried, You Two." Jeevika Spoke.
"Uh-Uh, Isn't Mumma Forgetting Something Abhi?" Viren Smirked As He Asked Indirectly.
"Yes Dada..." Abhi Said As He Leaned Towards His Mother And Placed A Kiss On Her Cheeks. Then Struggled In The Arms Of His Father Who Set Him On The Floor, And He Hurried Towards His Room Leaving Virika Alone.
"My Son's A Bright Kid, Isn't He...?" Viren Winked Towards His Now Blushing Wifey.
"You've Already Spoiled Him. God Knows What's He Gonna Do When He Grows Up!" Jeevika Said As She Turned To Go See Her Son.
"No So Soon Wifey. Abhi Got His Kiss, Now My Turn?" He Said Almost In A Whisper.
