I stared at the letter wanting to burn the sender. But then, as a matter of fact decided to bait him. I wrote a reply.

Hi Rihan,

Listening to your plead. I decided to call RK myself. He says he doesn't wanna talk or meet you in person. BUT HE can surely email you. And since his emails are monitored, you'd have no scope to hit him back again. He sends me his email -Kundra.Rishabh_Clients@gmail.com and he says he will expect a mail in this inbox. Hope that is enough.

I grinned at myself. Not only had I given a fake account of RK and mine, but I had made him believe that I was helping him. Both the emails were the ones I created after reading the mail. All the messages for RK would go into the former email and I will communicate to him as RK. I couldn't just let that creep contact RK and make him crazier than he already is.

In the afternoon, my screen pinged with a mail.

Rishu,

Is that really you brother? How are you Bhai? I really miss you. Please don't delete this email. Just one look. Please let me explain once. Rishu, you and Baba have always been the angels of my life and I can never imagine to betray you people. Baba helped an orphan and made him into what I am today, how can I ever wrong him. I know what circumstances made me do it. But can I please explain. Please reply me back, Rishu. Please. I beg of you.

I stared at the mail. I was curious. My journo mind yelled at me. I wanted to look into this. "Lets do it babe!", I told myself and pressed "Reply"

Mr Rihan,

Thank you for writing to me. I appreciate your courage. As a matter of fact, I am in a pretty ok mood today. And somehow want to hear your a** out. C'mon. Start speaking.

PS: I would appreciate a 'Sir'

I took a huge breath and 15 minutes later, pressed the send button. I couldn't let Rihan know that I was eager to know more. He replied back 5 minutes later.

RK Sir,

Thank you for writing back to me. I am glad you paid attention to it. I wanted to swear on Baba, that I never wronged you Bhai. I have always loved you and will continue to do so.

I sat there, thinking of a befitting reply to the mail. Something that was RK-ish, yet solved my purpose of investigating into Rihan's sudden reappearance in our lives. If I was RK, I wouldn't write to him more than once, so I made the email unread, so that I don't forget to reply back tomorrow. I logged out and logged in to my original account. There was a mail from the *real* Rishabh Kundra.

Hey,

I am home. Just entered my room and resting. How was your day. And the event? Everything's cool right? Write back to me. I'll call you when you're back home. Have a great day at work!

I smiled reading the email. There was a soft blush on my cheeks and I pressed the reply button.

Rishabh,

I am great. Tum pahoch gaye. That is great. Main abhi ek meeting mein jaa rahi hoon. I'll catch you when I come back from the meeting.

I smiled and resumed my work. Amidst Rihan drama, I didn't realize that I was here to work. :P I edited out the special column articles, which were to be published next week.

"Madhu.", Roy entered with a bundle of files.

"Yeah! Roy?", I peaked out of my files.

"Liz asked for these files. Urgently.", he was sweating.

I popped my eyes at the number of the files. "Ok...", I paused and took a huge breath. "Come. Lets finish these!", I smiled.

It was 8:30 in the evening when I wound up my work. Grabbing my coat, I locked my cabin and came out. "Madhubala Mam!", our receptionist greeted me as I signed on the register. "See you tomorrow!", I smiled and turned around. "Mam! Wait.", she called me back. "There's a boy out...waiting for since 2-3 hours. I raised my brows in amazement. "I'll check.", I smiled and moved out. As I came out, I saw Rihan sitting in his Pizza Boy Uniform. I sighed in disgust. "You?", I asked.

"Can you...hand these over to RK?", he handed me some small and big packets. "What are these?", I asked him.

"Some letters, can you do this?", he said.

"I'll try.", I rolled my eyes to him.

"Please Madhubala. I beg of you."

"Ok. I said I'll try.", I glared at him.

I took the packets and lazily walked away. On my way back, I kept thinking if I should hand these over to RK or look at them myself. It would be unfair to RK if I saw them...but what if there's something that might hurt RK. I better see some stuff first and then get them to him. My phone buzzed and I put my earphones on.

"Hey!"

"You're not home?", RK spoke from the other side.

"Yeah...I got held up. Just going back."

"By?"

"By your car?", I raised a brow.

"Fine. Everything is ok right?"

"Yeah. Everything is fine."

"Did you see Rihan?"

"Why are you bothered for him?"

"I am not. I just want to make sure you're safe."

"I am. Relax.", I told him.

From the window, I saw a chemist shop. "Excuse me! Can you stop there?", I asked my driver. He nodded.

"Where are you stopping."

"A chemist shop.", I answered casually.

"Are you ill."

"OMG. Rishabh. Take a chill pill.", I yelled.

I heard his sigh. "What happened?"

"Nothing.", I handed over my prescription and he gave me a pregnancy kit. I paid him and left.

"I missed my periods, RK!", I told him.

"Ohh...is everything fine?"

"I hope it is. I'll tell you.", I told him.

"Should I send Dr Shefali?", he said.

"There's no need. I'll be fine here. Give my regards to Maa.", I hung up as I opened my apartment.

I locked the door and put the packets on the side table. Next, I went to the washroom and opened the test kit and followed the instructions. "Damn!", they tested positive. I freaked out and sat on the chair in my room looking at the test results in horror. There was no way I could be pregnant. "Why didn't we.", I hit my head thinking of why couldn't we have protected s**. "How will RK react to this.", I sighed dropping my head on the table. I dozed off on the table.

Early next morning, my door knocked. I yawned and walked towards it. It was Dr Shefali. "Aap?", I asked her as I saw her in amazement. "RK sent me here. How are you?", she looked concerned.

"I told him not to.", I frowned.

"I am just obeying him, Mam!", she smiled and asked me to lie down. She had all her instruments with her. "The pregnancy tests were positive.", I told her holding my head. "Ohh...I'll take your sample and get back to you in sometime.", she smiled. I nodded.

That night, when I came back from work, Dr Shefali dropped by.

"How are you?", she smiled entering the apartment.

"I am fine, doctor!", I told her.

"I got your reports Madhu.", she winked. I got anticipated. "You're 1 month pregnant sweetheart.", she smiled handing over the reports. I choked myself.

"Are you sure?", I asked her sitting on the couch holding my head.

"Yeah. Mr Kundra would be so glad to hear it."

"RK!", it occurred to me. I threw my head back on the couch and looked at the ceiling.

"Shefali! Please don't tell anything to RK.", I rubbed my temple.

"Why, Madhubala?", she freaked.

"I don't know. But please, don't tell him. I need to think."

"What will I say?", she asked me.

"Uhhh...tell him its normal. Its ok. It will get normal soon.", I was falling short of breath.

"Madhu, do tell him soon!", she said.

"I want to...but I am not sure. I'll speak to him...", I told him. She packed her stuff and got up. "Mr Kundra has arranged my flight back to Brisbane. I'll get going."

I nodded and escorted her to the door. When she left, I fell on the couch holding my face not knowing what to do.
