Roshni's head jerks up and KK smiles nervously

KK's gaze changes from Roshni to a girl behind her, Roshni just shakes her head as KK flirts with the girl.
Part 4
The rest of the class carries on as normal until the proffesor, Mr Shah runs out of whiteboard pens, he frantically searches for one but cannot find any, he glances around the class and sees Ria texting on her mobile
Mr S - Ria
Ria's head jerks up
Ri - yes sir?
Mr S - go to the stock room and get me some pens
Ri - why me?
Mr S - Ria!
Ri - ok ok, i'm going
Ria gets out of her seat and leaves the classroom to go to the stock room, on the opposite side of the hallway Aryan gets out of his class to get some things from the stock room for his proffesor. Both Ria and Aryan reach the stock room at the same time, Aryan smiles and holds the door for her, Ria glances around the room for the pens while Aryan picks up some books, Ria sees the pens but they're on a high shelf, she tries to jump to get them, she glances at Aryan but sees books in his hands so she decides to stand on a stool, Aryan sees her
Ar - Ria what are you doing?
Ri - getting these stupid pens
Ar - well be careful you might...
Before Aryan can complete his sentence, the stool wobbles and Ria is about to fall, Aryan drops the books and goes to catch her, Ria closes her eyes thinking she's going to hit the ground but instead lands in two very muscular arms, she opens her eyes one by one to see Aryan grinning at her. Outside the janitor is walking by, he sees the door to the stock room slightly open so he decides to lock it, neither Aryan nor Ria see the door being closed or hear it being locked
Ri - what are you grinning at?
Ar - I said you were going to fall
Ri - so? and let me go!
Ar - so you would rather me drop you?
Ri - yes!
Ar - as you wish
Aryan lets go of Ria and she falls on her butt, she stands up and smacks his arm, Aryan holds his arm
Ar - what!
Ri - why did you drop me for?
Ar - you said...and I quote "let me go", so I did
Ri - argh you're such a jerk!
Ar - thank you
Ria pushes him out of the way while Aryan just chuckles to himself, Ria grabs the pens from the floor and goes to open the door, she puts her hand on the handle and turns it but it won't open, she turns it again but still it won't open, Aryan looks as she frantically tries to turn the handle
Ar - Ria, don't break it
Ri - its not opening!
Ar - what? move out of the way
Aryan moves her to the side and tries the handle himself but it doesn't budge, Aryan looks puzzled
Ar - I guess someone locked it
Ri - gee...you think....well don't just stand there you big ape, break it down
Ar - wh.....ape?
Aryan glares at her then at the door, he smiles
Ar - the door won't break down
Ri - you haven't even tried yet!
Ar - well Miss Ria
Aryan pulls her to face the door
Ar - you see those gold things, they're called door hinges, now a door can only be broken if those hinges are on the other side, and since they're not, the door will not be broken down...understand?
Ri - whatever....but I'm not spending another second in this stupid dump with you
Ar - what are you going to do then?
Ri - this
Ria bangs her fists on the door
Ri - HELP!!!! Someone help!!!!!
Ar - no one will hear you.....and even if they do, they're not going to come because they're all in lesson
Ri - so you think you're so smart? Aryan do something? use that brain of yours
Aryan grins and folds his arms and leans against the shelves
Ar - why should I? I'm just a big ape
Ri - Aryan....please
Ar - no...I'm an ape.....how can I do anything?
Ri - ok ok, I'm sorry...now please do something please
Ria pouts her lips and flutters her eyelashes, Aryan sighs
Ar - those girly things might work on KK...not me
Ri - Aryan!!!! if you don't get us out of this room...then I'll.....
Aryan leans forward with his hand near his ear
Ar - you'll do what.....hmm enlighten me?
Ri - I'll .....I'll cry
Aryan laughs
Ar - you'll cry? is that it? Ria Bose.....will cry
Ria puts her bottom lip out and begins to blink her eyes really fast causing tears to come out, Aryan's heart melts and he pulls her into a hug and carresses her hair
Ar - ok you big baby, I'll do something, now stop crying
Ria wipes her tears away and Aryan smiles, he takes his phone out of his pocket, Ria gasps and smacks his arm
Ar - now what did I do?
Ri - if you had the phone why didn't you use it in the first place?
Ar - because I forgot
Ri - whatever...text KK
Ar - I'm doing it
In the class KK's phone vibrates, he takes it out and sees a message from Aryan, he opens it and reads "me n Ria lockd in stock room....gt us out nw" KK grins and nudges Roshni, she looks at him
R - what?
KK - your brother and Ria are locked in the stock room together
R - really? well don't sit here...go get them out
KK - ok ok....sir....
Mr S - what?
KK - I need to use the bathroom
Mr S - fine go, and find out where that girl Ria has gone, the class is being delayed because she hasn't got my pens yet
KK - yes sir
KK gets up from his seat and leaves the class, he quickly runs to the nearest stock room and knocks on the door
KK - hello...anyone there?
Ar (from inside) - yes...now get us out?
KK - how? I don't have a key?
Ar - break it down you idiot
KK - ask nicely
Ri - KK if you don't get us out of here then I will tell Angad chachu that you were the one who broke the window to his Ferrari last summer, not me
KK - good enough for me...move out of the way
Ar - where to? this isn't your bedroom....this thing is tiny
KK - well get in the corner...huddle up together....just get away from the door
Inside Aryan steps back into a corner, he looks at Ria who is still standing there
Ar - do you need a seperate invitation?
Ri - so sorry
Ria steps towards him, Aryan shakes his head and pulls her closer, their bodies colide and both stare in each others eyes, outside KK shoves his shoulder into the door a few times and breaks it down, he looks inside and sees Aryan and Ria gazing at each other, he grins to himself and clears his throat but it has no effect on the two, he looks shocked and he steps closer and waves a hand in between their faces but still nothing, so he decides to shove Aryan into Ria which does the trick and both break out of their trance, look up and see KK grinning at them
KK - what's going on here?
Aryan looks down at Ria and realises how close they are so he moves back and looks back at KK
Ar - like I said we were locked inside?
KK - are you sure...you never locked yourselves in you know for some privacy?
Ar - KK shut up before I punch you
KK - ok ok...don't worry....you're secrets safe with me....Ria you got those pens?
Ria who had been silent and blushing slowly nods her head, she quickly leaves the room and heads back to class, KK puts his hands out
KK - after you
Aryan glares at him then leaves the room with KK behind
KK - tujhe dheka tho yeh jaana sanam pyaar hota hai deewana sanam, ab yahan se kahan jaaye hum, teri baahon mein mar jaaye hum
Aryan looks at KK and punches his arm, KK holds his arm in pain and runs off before Aryan punches him again. He goes into the class sits down and looks at Ria and raises his eyebrows at her, she looks away from him and KK merely grins to himself, Roshni nudges him
R - what happened?
KK - nothing...I'll tell you later
R - ok
The class continues as normal. After the class has finished KK and Karan go to the canteen, they both find Aryan sitting at a table drinking juice, KK sits next to him while Karan sits opposite him
Kar - heard about your little encounter with Ria in the stock room
Ar - thanks a lot KK....who else did you tell?
R - bhai....how could you?
Aryan looks up at Roshni
Ar - wh...what did I do?
R - don't act innocent bhai.....
Ar - KK I'm going to kill you....how could you tell Roshni that I was standing so close to Ria!
Roshni gasps, Aryan looks at her
R - bhai.....KK only told me that you were locked in the room.....but oh my gosh...you and Ria....so close together?
Ar - no.....Roshni you know your brother.....I'm not like that
R - nope bhai.....thats why Ria is so upset....now go...go talk to her
Ar - why should I?
R - bhai!
Ar - fine
Aryan groans and gets up from the chair, Roshni sits down while KK and Karan laugh with each other. Aryan glares at them before running off to find Ria. He looks all over the college and finds her at the basketball courts sitting alone on the benches, he smiles and sits by her, then nudges her
Ar - what's wrong?
Ri - nothing
Ar - look if its what happened back in the stock room....I'm sorry, but it was KK's fault, he's the one who pushed me
Ri - its not that
Ar - what is it then?
Ria sighs, Aryan senses her quietness so he leans forwrd and looks at her face, he brushes a strand of hair away from her face and tucks it behind her ear and touches her cheek
Ar - tell me Ria....I thought we were friends
Ri - we are....its just
Ar - just what? has someone hurt you Ria? because if they have....tell me and I won't spare them
Ri - no need for that....I'll handle it
Ar - are you sure?
Ri - yes....you ape, I'm sure
Ar - fine....if you say so you donkey....come lets go to the canteen
Ri - donkey?
Ar - you called me an ape....its only fair
Ri - whatever....you go, I'll catch up with you later
Ar - sure
Aryan leaves Ria sitting on the bench. He goes back to the canteen and sees KK flirting with a girl and Karan reading a book, Aryan shakes his head and pulls the book away from Karan
Kar - hey....I was reading that?
Ar - yeah I know....but you should know this is the canteen...not the library....man you're so much like Kripa aunty, she's always reading aswell
Kar - so? is that a bad thing?
Ar - no of course not, you know I want you to do well in life....but reading every single minute? thats so boring dude, anyways let me sort out the other problem
Aryan goes to KK and puts his arm around his shoulder and looks at the girl he's flirting with, KK looks at Aryan
KK - what?
Ar - your girlfriend is calling you
girl - what girlfriend?
Ar - erm Maya....no wait it was Suman..or was it Nisha?
The girl glares at KK and walks off, KK glares at Aryan then pushes his arm away while Aryan grins and walks back to the table and sits down, KK follows him
KK - why did you do that for?
Ar - because....like Karan reads all the time....you flirt all the time.....why don't you find one girl who you like?
Kar - haha thats funny....KK and one girl.....that will be the day
KK - well there isn't any girl who I like enough to stop flirting with other girls
Ar - ok tell me this....what's your ideal girl? at least then me and Karan can keep an eye out for her
Kar - Aryan you know KK...he likes one girl's lips and anothers eyes and anothers hair and....
KK - shut up.....ok....my ideal girl.....someone....innocent
Elsewhere Roshni is sitting watching Ria flirt with some guy, looking very innocent, back at the canteen
KK - someone who appreciates life
Outside Roshni watches a butterfly flying around
KK - someone who lives for others and not themselves
Roshni is shown helping Ria with her work
KK - someone....beautiful and down to earth...
Ar - ok stop...so in short, your ideal girl doesn't exist
KK - why won't she? who knows she could be here right now....in Mumbai....in our college....
KK looks around, Roshni and Ria enter the canteen
KK - probably in this very room
Kar - forget it KK, we all know you, you wouldn't even recognise her even if she was right in front of you
R - hey guys...what you talking about?
Aryan makes space for Roshni and Ria to sit down
Ar - nothing much, just KK's ideal girl
Ria laughs and KK glares at her
Ri - KK's ideal girl? thats a good one Aryan....more like girls.....his taste changes every day....no wait every hour
KK - look who's talking.....word is around that you dumped Pranay just days after hooking up with him
R - KK shut up
Ri - FYI...KK I never dumped him.....he dumped me
Ria storms off, Aryan smacks KK's arm
Ar - you idiot...that's why she was depressed
KK - how was I meant to know? gosh and stop smacking my arm....it hurts, you continue doing that my arm will be in a cast
Ar - if you don't go make her happy then I'll break every bone in your body, let alone your arm
KK stands up
KK - going
Ar - good
KK runs off, Roshni looks at Aryan
R - why do you always be mean to him?
Ar - because its fun
R - bhai its not nice, even KK has feelings
Aryan and Karan look at each other and burst out laughing, Roshni shakes her head
R - bhai I'm serious
Ar - you're so cute Roshni....and so innocent, but let me tell you one thing KK does not have feelings for anyone except us lot and our families
R - no bhai I'm telling you...even KK will fall in love
Ar - Roshni, I know him better than you do, KK will never fall in love
R - trust me bhai....he will, and when he does, I'll be the first one to know
Kar - why you?
R - because...KK will tell me first
Kar - why?
R - because, we're good friends
Ar - so are we.....what makes you so special
R - nothing but KK will tell me first
Ar - ok Roshni, if KK falls in love and you're the first to know, then I'll.....
R - I'll ask for something on the day ok, don't hurt your brain right now
Ar - ok as you wish......now go see if KK has made up with Ria.
Just as Roshni is about to stand up when Ria comes inside smiling with KK. They join the others at the table, Aryan smiles and puts his hand out to tap KK's shoulder but KK leans back, Aryan looks confused
Ar - what?
KK - don't hit me
Aryan pulls KK forward and taps his shoulder lightly
Ar - well done
KK smiles to himself as Aryan talks to Ria. He looks at Roshni and sees her gazing outside the window, he nudges her
KK - what's up?
R - nothing...want to go for a walk?
KK - sure
Roshni and KK stand up and turn to leave when Karan sees them
Kar - where you two going?
KK - somewhere....you carry on reading
KK follows Roshni outside while Karan watches wondering where they are going.
coming up - KK and Roshni's walk.....the kids go home and find their parents high school re-union cards and convince them to attend.
