I must say that I was rolling with laughter when Avni entered the Purohit house.
Given her outfit as well as the thunder and lightning, the family must have thought that they saw a ghost. What they saw was even worse. They saw their new daughter.

Watching Avni perform all the rituals while speaking to the family was hilarious. You could tell that they were all wondering if she was actually serious with what she was doing. But they could not say anything to her. Not that they had to because Avni was doing all of the talking for them.
Even though both Raj and Avni promised each other that they would make their lives miserable, I doubt that they would actually go through with their promises. What could they possibly do to each other? Make a bad dinner or force the other to go to work in a rickshaw? I am looking forward to see how much hidden affection the newly married couple will show to each other.
