CHAPTER 38 PART 1

Surya after softly kissing her lips gazed at her with his deep dark passionate eyes ... still his left hand possessed her waist strongly... His eyes clearly showed deep desire for another passionate kiss... taste of first touch of her lips left him wanting more.

Years of dreams came to reality... her lips started to tremble after touching his malleable lips... her body fluttered with millions of sensations. She was melting in his intense gaze gradually; his strong possessive grip was giving her soothing warmth. Her young blood boiled up to be lost in him. Soft kiss left her with heavy panting and unsettling inexperienced feeling. Her brain got numbed to think any further, she desperately wanted him to kiss her again.

In soft sensual whisper he asked in desperate tone "Sukanya, Do you love me? Please say you love me... My heart is dying to hear those three words from you."

She mischievously smirked at him and decided not to indulge his desire.

He pulled her closer leaving no space between them and murmured in her ears "I will kiss you until you don't say you love me..."

She again gave him playful inviting gaze with soft simper; her lips curved a little with shiver...her stomach curled up imagining him kissing passionately...her inviting gaze created sparks through his spine.

His hand held her neck softly the he leaned down to reach up to her lips, he gazed once again at her innocent divine face, her closed eyes gave him a hint of her longing...without wasting even a second he kissed her softly, as if he is tasting first bite of delicious sweet, slowly with patience. He murmured "ohh your lips are so squashy and delicious Suku..." Then he deepened his kiss with smooch on her lips with soft bites...he paused a little, she moaned softly divulging her desire unknowingly, and in no time his tongue slid inside her mouth. There was no space left between them... both of them were totally lost in their first kiss with their eyes closed, they were in their dreamland.

Jodha's eyes softened, her moments slowed down. Jalal cautiously took his hand from her mouth and let Jodha talk.

As soon as he took his hand away, she said furiously "Shenshah, you will end up paying for this..."

Jalal with smirk, "Ohhh, my begum is threatening me ... hmmm... Junglee billi, I am always up for your challenges." Then in serious tone he continued "Jodha, when you are wrong, I will not bend down and you know that too... I will make sure you thank me for this later."

She stared at him with sharp stern gaze and said in thick irritated tone "Can we go out now...?"

Suddenly Jalal shouted at the top of his voice "Jodha, common let's go, get ready fast... everyone is probably looking for us..." he grinned wickedly at her.

Jodha gave him, I will kill you look... Jalal with maulstick laugh walked towards door.

Hearing Jalal's loud shout... like an electric spark both Surya and Sukanya pushed each other away... they looked at each other with extreme shock... before they could come out of this horror alarm Jalal came out of the room with his crumbled hair... spreading his arms leisurely yawning and pretended to be surprised seeing them.

Jalal asked in stern and thick tone while looking at them shockingly "Sukanya, What are you doing here on Jodha's terrace?" His sound was more on threatening then questioning.

Jodha came running out behind him in few seconds and saw Sukanya shivering.

Sukanya's face turned pale and filled with guilt. She fumbled to find words... after a few seconds she replied in low tone without looking at anyone "Jijasa, I came here..." she scrambled again and repeated "I came here... I came here to look for Jodha jiji..." she gasped out with relief and said again "I was looking for Jiji."

Jalal with awkward look stared at Surya and asked him "What are you doing in my begum's terrace Surya?"

He wobbly replied "I was also looking for Jodha."

Jodha was still upset at Sukanya. She was so angry at her that any how she wanted to scold her. She crudely said "Sukanya, Shenshah is right; you should not be here alone with Surya. Never forget we are Rajvanshi girls and we should never cross our limits at any cost... we are pride of our bapusa, we have so many guests in the palace, I don't want anyone to point finger at you and ruin our prestige." She sounded much crustier and harsh than she intended.

Sukanya shivered seeing Jodha's angry eyes...her eyes got moist and drop of tears pricked out below her eyelids. She looked down embarrassed.

Jalal gazed at Jodha bitterly with extreme fury...he said to himself... at last you have ruined her beautiful moment.

Jalal came near Sukanya, while wiping her tears he said lovingly "Itni sundar aankhon mein aansoo ache nahi lagte Sukanya, aur vese bhi tumhe to pata hi hoga tumari sherni jiji kabhi kabhi chudail ban jati hai." (Tears don't looks good in such beautiful eyes Sukanya and you know your sister very well... some times she turns into devil witch) he smirked at her teasingly.

Jodha looked at Jalal with dark angry eyes.

Jalal looked back at Jodha impassively with deep disappointment... to annoy Jodha he sarcastically said "Sukanya, Vese tumhe pata hai na vo muhavra, 900 chuhe khake billi haj ko chali' Chalo me tumhe ek raaz ki baat batata huin. Tumhe pata hai pehli baar hum tumhari sherni jiji se kese mile the? Voh ghangor utsav me mehel se bhag ke talvar baazi ki pratiyogita me mardana libaz pehenkar talvar bazi kar rahi thi aur vo bhi humare sath."

Hearing this Sukanya's tears disappeared and converted into an amusing smile on her face... she glanced at Jodha with the look see Jiji, I caught you.

Jodha with annoyance in fumbling tone said "Shenshah, don't lie. I don't remember anything like that."

Jalal laughed seeing her extremely annoyed face, to add on more fire he said "You know Sukanya, Your sister has got some special training on how to lie."

Jodha frustratingly gazed at Jalal.

After controlling the situation, Jalal said in very serious and thick tone "Anyway Surya, I know you so it is fine but being on a private terrace with a young beautiful girl alone can create suspicions. But since I know both of you are like brother and sister...so that's okay."

Jodha, Surya and Sukanya all three's eyes widen with Jalal's statement of BROTHER SISTER. Jalal scanned all three of them with his sharp eyes quickly. He felt Surya's eyes will come out and fall on the floor. Sukanya was looking at Surya with horrible shock. Jodha was looking at Jalal with what the heck are you saying? He wanted to laugh out loud seeing their faces. He turned towards the other side to hide the smile on his face.

After about thirty seconds Surya said in a little grouchier tone "Shenshah, we all are friends, I am not her brother."

Jalal turned back and with very serious tone said "Anyway, its good Sukanya that you are here, I wanted to talk to you before the announcement tonight" everyone looked at him with strange curiosity.

After a brief silence Jalal continued "Sukanya, I have talked to Rajasaheb earlier and asked your hand for Mirza and if everyone agrees, then we will announce your engagement tonight at the time of our ring ceremony. Jodha will be most happy person with this alliance... you and your sister will be together in the same palace forever."

Sukanya was just standing there dumbstruck, It was a big shock for her... she looked at Surya hoping he will say something but it was so sudden for Surya to digest that he just stood their stupefied dis-concertedly.

Seeing Sukanya's face Surya said in his defense with bitter tone "Shenshah, Why Sukanya needs to marry Mirza? Well, Jodha's situation was different but as you know, our culture and religions are completely different and Agra is very far from Amer."

Jalal replied in displeased tone "Sukanya, Seems like Surya is not happy with this alliance, but I love his reasoning. First I also prefer Surya that Sukanya get married to a Rajvanshi king but unfortunately all Ravanshis have decided to punish Raja Bharmal for shaking hands with Mughals. Some are pretending to have good relation with Raja Saheb but it's out of fear only. They all know now what Raja Saheb did was good for his State and also for his daughter but no one wants to admit their mistake. I am a part of this family and It's my responsibility also to find an appropriate groom for Sukanya and I would like to say proudly that I know Mirza very well, he is a very good hearted, brave, sober and caring person. His heart is made of gold."

He paused and looked at Surya and said "For long distance and different culture and religion Surya, I would like to say that after marriage life changes for every person. After marrying Jodha I can tell one thing for sure, when two people love each other then there is no culture or distance that makes any difference." He took a brief pause and looked at Sukanya and Surya... then he continued with a little louder tone... "Above and all, Mirza himself wishes to marry you Sukanya."

Jodha confusingly looked at Jalal and thinking, why he sounded very serious to this proposal, she was shocked to hear that he has already proposed Sukanya's hand for Mirza to Bapusa...she gaze at him with look, what the heck you are doing ?

Seeing Jodha with squinted and irritated questionable eyes, Jalal teasingly smirked back at her.

Surya wanted to say so much but his words got stuck in his throat, he was thinking so much has happened in the last hour. How will I face this situation, my entire family is against Raja Bharmal, and his decision to shake hands with Mughals, my parents were so against that they didn't even let me attend Jodha's wedding the first time and also this time I had to fight with them to attend this marriage. If they come to know that I am in love with Sukanya they will be completely against it, the only person who will support me is Lila but the situation was different before, at the time of Jodha's marriage I was only a prince and now I am a king of three states. I can take my own decisions, but how can I tell Sukanya I need some time to figure it out.

Seeing Surya completely in shock and silent, Sukanya's heart shattered infrastructure to pieces. She gulped her tears and pain and replied in low tone "Jijusa, I do agree that Mirza is a very nice person, but can you please give me an hour to think it over." She wanted to say more but it was unfeasible for her to control her tears.

Jodha's heart broke seeing Sukanya's utterly gloomy face. She gazed at Surya while gnashing her teeth angrily and said loudly while looking at him, "Sukanya, I am so proud of Mirza, at least he is not a coward and he can stand up for himself. Let's go, come with me."

Sukanya desperately wanted to talk to Surya before leaving but she couldn't say a word the way Jodha insisted to come with her.

Jalal immediately realized that Sukanya and Surya need to talk. He dryly said "Jodha begum, it's almost time for the Sangeet cerymony; I have got some precious jewelry for you, come with me I want to show it you."

Jodha was so mad at Jalal for this mess, she furiously gazed at him and without saying a word decided to walk with him.

While leaving from there, Jodha and Jalal both noticed Sukanya's heated red depressed face and her widened eyes with deathly glares towards Surya. She was extremely mad at Surya for not telling Jalal that he loves her and wants to marry her.

As soon as, Surya saw her angry face his heart skipped a beat and face became pale. He couldn't understand how things changed so fast and in totally opposite direction, just minutes ago he had confessed his love to Sukanya and held her lovingly in his arms, passionately kissed her and now Jalal is going to ask her hand for Mirza. He could clearly see his silence killed her inside, her anger was boiling up in her eyes. Her furious gawk scared him.

After a long pause of silence... he dared to look up towards Sukanya, who had started to walk towards the door to leave with tears gushing out of her eyes with silent sobs. Surya quickly ran towards her and held her wrist to stop her from leaving.

She shouted at the top of her voice "Surya, Leave my hand, don't ever dare to touch me again," while snatching her hand away from his grip with fuming anger. "You took advantage of me, not only today but every time you needed a shoulder to cry you came to me, you just said you loved me and wanted to marry me... Ohhh... feels like you were just playing with my emotions you never loved me, if you would have loved me than you would have declared your love in front of Jiji and Jijasa. You just stood there with your pathetic silence and watched Jijasa while he went to Bapusa to ask my hand for Mirza. I should have never let you touch me or kiss me, oooh...what a dramatic act you did today...you showed so much anger to me just for talking to Mirza and now you stayed quite in front of Jijasa when he talked about getting me married to Mirza. Why Surya why, why are you doing this to me??? What have I done to deserve this?? I have loved you since many years, watched you love Jiji, watched you cry for Jiji, I stayed quiet and cried silently for you all those years but not today, today your silence has shattered me" she fell on her knees while crying incoherently.

On the other side Jodha was extremely mad at Jalal and was walking angrily with him!

Jodha fumingly walking down the stairs. Jalal could sense her anger in her pace...she walked hastily towards his chamber and angrily said "Shenshah, I have no interest in you and your dress or jewelry...I have already planned what I am wearing tonight for the function."

Jalal grinned seeing her frustrated "Ohhh!!! Jodha begum trust me, you will wear the dress I bought for you."

Jodha stopped and looked at him with sharp angry gaze and said "aww!!! I didn't know you have started seeing day dreams...Poor Shenshah."

Jalal with smirk replied "its a challenge Jodha begum, I will make you apologize for this attitude and you will wear the dress I brought for you."

Jodha narrowed her eyes and said "Challenge accepted. Do whatever you can?"

Jalal whispered "Jodha begum, day dream... hmmm...poor me...let's see."

Both of them saw Mainavati coming towards them heatedly.

Mainavati in aggravated tone asked "Jodha, where were you? Shivani was looking for you for last hours and what is all this? Look at yourself, your hair is all messy and what about your make up. Lots of guests are in the palace, what will they think if they see you like this and seems to me like you just woke up."

Jalal grinned at Jodha recalling their romance at the terrace.

Jodha with argument "but Masa..." But before she says anything Jalal teasingly in stern tone added "Masa, hum Jodha begum ko yahi samja rahe the, Aap aese bina sringar kese ghoom sakti hai...Aur pata nahi ye bar bar kaha chali jati hain. Aur hum unhe thundte rehte hai. Vese Jodha begum Agra me bhi aese hi gumti hai, hamare lakh samjhane par bhi vo vohi karti hai jo unko pasand hai."

Jodha squinted her eyes and irritably said "Shenshah, yeh hamari masa hai, aur aap unhe masa kese bula sakte hai...aur hum jese hai vese hi rahenge."

Mainavati scolded again "Jodha, tum Jamaisa se mafi mango...yeh koi tarika hai unse baat karne ka. Aur hum jese tumhari Masa hain vese hi Jamaisa ki bhi masa hi hain."

Jalal smirked at Jodha with his wicked winning gaze...then in very calm and low tone he said "Masa, koi baat nahi vese ab hume inke aese rukhe bartav ki aadat ho gayi hai, hum jante hai gussa to inki naak pe betha rehta hai hamesha. Aur puchiye inse, humne kitni chah se inke liye naya libaz aur gehne mangvaye hai aaj sangit mein pehenne ke liye aur ye unhe dekhna tak nahi chahti...hume nahi lagta aapke kehne par bhi vo humse mafi mangegi aur hamara laya hua libaz pehnegi."

Jodha looked at Jalal with her mouth open and impatiently said "Masa, yeh dusht hain aur hume fasa rahe hain."

Mainavati angrily asked "Jodha, Kya Shenshah ne tumhare liye vastra aur gehne banvaye hai aur tumhne use dekhne se bhi inkar kar diya?"

Jodha in defeating tone replied "Ji Masa, par Masa aapko pata nahi yeh kitne chalak hain, ye hume fasa rahe hain."

Mainavati loudly shouted "Bahot ho gaya Jodha, Kya hum tumhe nahi jante kitni hathi ho tum, Aur aaj raat tum vohi pehnogi jo jamaisa ne tumhare liye banvaya hai aur abhi humare samne unse mafi mango. Apne pati ko tum dusht aur chalak kese keh sakti ho??"

Jodha looked at Jalal then scowled petulantly and said "Shenshah, hume maaf kar dijye."

Jalal blinked few times innocently and said "Nahi Nahi Jodha begum, mafi mat mangiye hum samaj sakte hai aapme abhi bhi bachpana hai. Aur aap bahot ziddi hani, par hum aapse mohabbat karte hai...aapko humse mafi magne ki koi jarurat nahi hai. Chaliye hum aapko libaz dikhate hain."

Mainavati got so overwhelmed seeing Jalal so humble and caring for Jodha. She gave him lots of blessing and tetchily said "Jodha, go with Shenshah and listen to him, understand."

Jodha with low eyes said "Ji Masa..."

Jodha pouted a little and walked towards Jalal's chamber, her temper was boiling hot. Seeing her dark angry eyes Jalal murmured silently while walking "Yaa Kuda, bacha lena hume iss bhuchal se."

"Jodha begum, you are going to love the outfit."

"Shenshah, I am not going to wear that dress at any cost." She growled angrily.

"Jodha begum, do you know that I have spent so much time to pick this dress."

Jodha tetchily said "I don't give a damn about your dress and you. In front of Masa you made me apologize but that doesn't mean you won."

Jalal with little irritation said "Ok then I will give that dress to Masa only, she will make you wear it."

Jodha glanced at him with her dark eyes and frustratingly said "You know what... you will have to pay for what you have done. I will not let you touch me until we reach Agra. Stay away from me. Now I will spend my time with Masa only and you only dream tonight. Don't even dare to enter in the Sangeet ceremony tonight. And for your information Sangeet is only for women, no men are allowed in this function. I will surely wear the dress you got for me but how sad... my dear desperate husband will not be able to see me in that dress." She wickedly smirked and wrinkled her nose at him.

Jalal disappointedly murmured with deep sigh out "aww... men are not allowed in the function!"

Jodha with big smirk entered in Jalal's chamber and replied "Yes Shenshah, Not allowed and you know I am going to dance and sing in the function too" she blinked her eyes innocently to tease him.

Jalal smirked mysteriously and thought... Ohhh vowww... Jodha is going to dance then how can I miss that? This is once in a life time opportunity, there is no way I am going to miss this.

Jodha looking at him confusingly mumbled to herself...seems like he is dreaming.

Jodha shouted "Shenshah, wake up... give me the dress and jewelry."

Jalal snapped out of his thought and went inside his changing room and got the box of jewelry and dress.

Jodha's eyes widen seeing the beautiful orange and green dress and dazzling expensive matching necklace. Seeing this dress her face sparkled in excitement. Jalal could tell seeing her face that she loved the outfit. But without saying a word Jodha took the dress and jewelry from him.

Jalal passionately said "Jodha, I want to see you in this dress tonight. So far I have won all the challenges so tonight we will spend the night together. Jodha I can't wait any longer... I have no patience left."

Jodha blushed wickedly and replied "My dear husband it's payback time...tonight you will have to dream only...I won't let you win the last bet...I cannot even imagine in my dreams you can do that so I am sure our first night will be in Agra only."

Jalal irritably aaked "What is the challenge Jodha?"

Jodha replied impishly "You have to sing and admit your love and kiss me on my lips in front of everyone at the ring ceremony."

Jalal frowned in shock hearing the challenge. Jodha giggled seeing his face.

"Are you out of you mind Jodha??? What a stupid challenge." He angrily said.

"This is what it is Shenshah... you can call this challenge, my wish or my desire but I want you to sing for me and kiss me in front of everyone. If you fulfill my wish then I will be yours tonight." Jodha said playfully.

"You want me to sing in front of everyone." He asked tetchily.

Jodha smirked viciously with winning look "hmm..." She nodded her head in yes.

"You want me to kiss you on your lips in front of Ammi Jaan... Raja Saheb, your masa??" He asked furiously.

She blinked her eyes a few times cutely and then gave him a witty smirk and nodded her head in yes. Then she said "Oh... you see, I am sooo... childish as you mentioned to Masa!!!! Sooo... my challenge is also childish... understand."

Jalal angrily said "Jodha, this is not a fair challenge. There is no way I can do this." He paused and said grouchily "Jodha, I can announce and tell everyone that I love you but I am a Shenshah I can't sing in front of everyone and kiss no way."

Jodha snapped "I know... but you see everything is fair in love and war." She smirked viciously and continued "Let me go get ready for Sangeet and you get ready to count stars tonight. Kal subah muje bata dena aapne kitne tare gine. (Let me know in the morning how many stars you counted.) Jodha giggled and walked out of the room.

Jalal walked behind and shouted loudly "You cheater, fraud... I will not spare you Junglee crooked billi."

Jodha laughed more seeing him so frustrated and angry.

Sukanya with anger pushed him away and shouted at Surya "Don't you ever dare to touch me."

Sukanya realized that she was too harsh on him. She looked at him to hear him out.

He came near her and wiped her tears and said "Sukanya, try to understand my situation, I couldn't declare my love or say anything yet because I have to first make my family agree. You know that my family is against yours ever since Jalal got married to Jodha, just like all other Rajvanshis my family is also skeptical in making any relation with Raja Bharmal...they don't even like me coming here, they were against me coming here to attend Jodha's wedding, in fact they didn't even want me to come here on holi to play with Jodha after her wedding and even after that whenever I came to meet you they never liked it. I need some time to talk to them about us!! I need time to make them agree." Surya explained calmly.

Surya angrily replied "Sukanya, you don't want to understand my situation at all and you are just too busy in your taunting."

Surya futilely watched Sukanya walking out. Sukanya turned back and looked at him sadly and left from the terrace with anger and tears in her eyes, leaving behind a totally flabbergasted Surya!!

It took some time for Surya to come out of the dazed state, he couldn't believe how he first got and then lost his love in a matter of minutes. He needed to do something and do it fast because he certainly didn't want to be late this time around. Surya decided to ask Jodha to help him out. He thought, she already knows how much I love Sukanya and she was also happy with this, she will surely help me. She can tell Jalal about me and Sukanya and stop him from asking Sukanya's hand for Mirza. Yes, I should talk to her as soon as possible...in fact I should go right now, before Jalal gets any chance to say anything to Raja Bharmal. With this new hope that Jodha will help him he quickly left from the terrace in search of Jodha.

Surya saw Jodha coming out of Jalal's chamber. Thinking that this is the best chance to talk to Jodha he ran towards her hastily and stopped her and said in pleading tone "Jodha, I really need to talk to you."

Jodha angrily and disappointedly asked "Surya, what you want now?"

"It's about Sukanya and my relation. I really need your help Jodha." He sounded very impatient.

Seeing his desperation Jodha accepted to talk to Surya. Surya in very serious tone said "Jodha, Me and Sukanya both are deeply in love with each other. Jodha I cannot live without Sukanya. Please help me."

Jodha dryly replied and scolded Surya "If you are in love with sukanya then why didn't you say anything when Shenshah was fixing her marriage with Mirza. You kept your mouth shut and didn't say word then, is that what your love is? How could you do that to Sukanya? And now you came here to ask me for help, what help you need from me Surya?"

Surya in dim and shameful requesting tone said "Jodha, everything happened so fast, and you know my parents are also against Amer like other Rajvanshis. I just need some time to convince my parents. Can you explain to Shenshah about the situation and hold this engagement for some time please?"

Jodha calmly replied "Surya, I am also helpless; our wedding is tomorrow and also, we leaving tomorrow. In short you don't have much time either. What if you decided later that you can't marry Sukanya because of your parents then what about Sukanya's future? You have to decide what you want to do? It is your call now, if you want me to help talking to bapusa that you like Sukanya and you want to marry her then I can help you but I can't stop Shenshah just on assumption that one day you will marry Sukanya" she paused briefly and then sadly continued "Surya, I have to get ready for Sangeet ceremony and I also want to meet Sukanya, she must be devastated. Hope you will take the right decision before its too late and also you can talk to your sister Lila and Jijasa. My advice is you should talk to them about the situation." She walked out warily towards her chamber.

Surya's really got panicked and felt extremely pressured when he had no other option left...he had to make the final decision within two hours before the ring ceremony.

Jalal was really annoyed and panicking because of Jodha's challenge. This was the most difficult challenge; he still couldn't believe that Jodha wanted him to kiss her in front of everyone. Jalal called Abdul and Mirza urgently to his chamber.

Both of them came and saw Jalal's puzzled face. Mirza anxiously asked "Bhai Jaan, Is everything okay? Why are you looking so lost?

Jalal irritably replied looking at both of them "Jodha begum has challenged me to..." he paused for few seconds then in fumbling tone continued "Jodha begum has challenged me to sing for her in front of everyone... and..." He paused again.

Mirza impatiently asked "And what?"

"And kiss her in front of everyone in ring ceremony." Jalal said with poker face controlling his blush.

Abdul and Mirza's mouth dropped widely opened in a shock... after a few second jerks Mirza started to laugh out loudly and Abdul quietly.

Jalal got annoyed seeing their faces, he shouted "Mirza..."

Mirza mockingly asked in serious tone "Bhai Jaan, but if you win this challenge what will you get in return??"

Jalal squinted his eyes at Mirza furiously.

Abdul tried controlling his humor and asked "Shenshah, how can we help you in kissing and singing?"

Mirza teasingly said "Sorry bhai Jaan I can't help in kissing but we can sing for you if you want."

Jalal petulantly shouted "I will kill you Mirza if you don't stop teasing me." After a few seconds Jalal desperately said "Abdul I have to win this challenge at any cost...but this seems impossible and Jalal doesn't like losing. But how can I kiss her in front of Raja Saheb and dadi sa..."

Mirza teasingly added "And Ammi Jaan, fufi Jaan, and...Salima begum, Rahim. "

Jalal irritably growled "Mirza... stop it..."

Mirza and Abdul looked at each other teasingly.

Abdul in serious tone asked "Shenshah, What about singing? Are you okay with that?? Can you do that??"

Jalal confusingly replied "Singing I can manage but I have never sung in front of anyone."

Mirza teasingly said "Bhai Jaan I have heard you singing in the bathroom... you sing better than ustad tansen."

Jalal shouted "Mirza, One more joke and you are out of my chamber."

Mirza realized he will be in trouble... so in low tone he replied "Ji bhai Jaan"

After spending about thirty minutes in discussion, Jalal got up frustratingly and said "you both think about the stupid plans and if you figure out something let me know. I have to meet with Raja Bharmal before sangeet and need to discuss about an important announcement."

Mirza curiously asked Abdul "When is this sangeet?? Why am I not invited?"

Abdul smirked and replied "Sangeet will start in few minutes and this function is only for women, men are not allowed in this function. In this function, I think princesses dance and sing that is why men are not allowed."

Mirza wickedly smirked and thought vow... so this means Shivani will also dance and sing. I have to find out more about this.

Jalal saw Surya sitting in the main hall in extremely worried condition. He felt sorry for Surya for putting him in this situation. He said to himself, I know very well about your father Surya, how dominating he is, even though you are a very brave and very smart king of three states, he is the one making all the major decisions of your life and states. If you don't stand up today for your love...you will never go against your family. Let's see how deeply you love Sukanya.

Sangeet Ceremony

Sangeet was arranged in beautiful huge marble hall. The entire room was decorated with Merigold orange and yellow flowers and red carpet. Sweet fragrance of flowers was creating traditional wedding feeling and brightening up the entire hall with lots of energy. Only women and children were allowed in this function... there were lots of divan for sitting, they were arranged in circle. Center area was allocated for performances. All front seats were allotted to immediate family members of bride and groom. In this function only few close relatives were invited but still the room was filled with sound of wedding music and gossip. Young princesses were so excited to perform.

Lila saw Sukanya's pale and worried face. She could tell Sukanya was trying her best to mask her pain with her poker face smile. She politely called Sukanya on the side and in very warm tone said "Sukanya, everything is going to be fine, Surya has explained the situation to me, I cannot tell you in words, how happy I am to hear that you will be my Bhabhi (Sister in law) Please cheer up bhabhi... and have trust on my bhai... everything has happened so quickly so he is just panicking but keep trust on him, he will not let you get married to someone else. I saw in his eyes how deeply he is in love with you. So don't worry and cheer up my dear Bhabhisa."

Hearing the word Bhabhi... suddenly thousands of butterflies started to dance in her belly... her entire body shivered with goose bumps... her face started to glow in a second turned from pale to pink. She started to blush heavily and shyly said "Lila jiji, don't call me bhabhi yet.

Lila teasingly replied "Suku, going forward I will call you Bhabhi only..." she giggled seeing her extremely blushed face.

Sukanya felt much relieved and happy knowing at least Surya talked to his sister about their love.

Shivani shouted "Sukanya jiji... Kya kar rahi ho?? Aaj tumne aur Jodha jiji ne muje pagal kar diya hai. Ab mera kaam sirf tum dono ko dhoondna hi reh gaya hai. Chalo ab jaldi, Masa bula rahi hai sabko."

Lila and Sukanya laughed hearing Shivani's comment.

Jodha got dressed in orange lengha choli and green chunni and all the beautiful jewelry. She slowly entered the hall with Sukanya, Lila and Shivani and few of the younger princesses. This function was for women only so she didn't put veil on her face. Her long shiny wavy hairs were tied in beautiful long braid with beautiful Maang tikaband full make up. She looked extremely beautiful; there was no comparison for her beauty. Her beautiful dress combination was making her even more attractive. All of the women got mesmerized in her beauty for a while. While walking slowly and timidly towards Hamida banoo Jodha thought...'Wish Jalal would have seen me in this dress...she admired him thinking...he has really incredible taste in clothes and jewelry. She blushed recalling his desperate face when she told him men are not allowed in the function.'

Lila looked at Jodha and saw her lost in thoughts, she whispered "Jodha, why are you blushing so much seeing you mother in law and smiling."

Jodha snapped out of her thoughts suddenly and masked her expressions.

Jodha took blessings from Hamida banoo and sat next to her. The function started with little girls' performance, they finished thier performance and the entire hall got filled with the sound of clapping. Then some traditional song war between bride and groom side took place. Hamida banoo very well knew all of these rituals and traditions so she had prepared her team well in advance. Jodha was blushing hearing those funny comments about groom and bride.

Jalal was waiting outside the hall for his secret agent team to inform the inside news.

Team of little girls came out. Jalal whispered to them "Kya khabar hai... choti shehzadi??"

Little princess replied "Shenshah, Hum buddhu nahi hain. Pehle humara inaam..."

Jalal laughed thinking these girls are fully trained under Jodha's command. He gave all of them gift boxes which he had already prepared as per the promise.

Leader of the team came near him and said "Shenshah, function has started and Jodha jiji is gone really mad...she is smiling without any reason."

Jalal replied in a whisper "I agree, sometimes I also feel the same way." He thought about the challenge and smirked, then he asked "Did you find a secret entrance for me to get in??"

One of the naive Shehzadi quickly said "Yes..." but the leader shehzadi quickly said "shhh quite... I am talking to Shenshah." She said "Shenshah, yes we found a secret way to get inside the hall but it is a big job so we also want lots of sweets and a promise that you are not going to tell our parents anything."

Jalal got shocked seeing them negotiating, with little smirk he said "You are five so I can give two boxes of sweets. If you agree than it is fine otherwise I will find my way myself."

Little princesses with confusing and stressful expression said "Hmmm... Shenshah, actually we are six... I have kept one person on watch inside the function hall... how about three boxes instead of two? It is easy to share you know."

Jalal with deep sigh out and smirk replied "Okay, done deal shehzadi."

Little Shehzadi with commending tone replied "Shenshah, Don't forget to keep this secret from our parents."

Jalal with laugh said "You keep my secret and I will keep yours." he thought to himself... these girls are tough negotiators.

Little girl "Okay then, we will inform you when Jodha Jiji's performance starts" and all of them cheerfully, happily ran inside the hall.

Mirza tried to get inside the hall but he was stopped by the gateman. So with help of Rahim he got a burkha and went inside and sat all the way behind so no one can catch him.

Surya wanted to meet Sukanya before ring ceremony so he used the secret door to get inside, he covered his head with Lila's chunni and stood behind the pillar.

It was time for the final performances. Sukanya was not in the mood to perform, even after talking to Lila her mind was still occupied and worried about what is going to happen tonight. She requested Shivani to start the performance with the excuse of having head ache. Shivani came in front and started. Mirza got excited seeing Shivani performing. Music started and Shivani started to dance and Sing.

Dance finished with lots of teasing and fun. This dance created excitement and dancing mood in everyone. Everyone clapped cheerfully for Shivani and Sukanya.

With the help of choti shezadi Jalal entered the hall and stood by the pillar. Jodha was surrounded by so many women...Jalal couldn't see her.

It was time for the final performance by Jodha. Jodha was feeling shy to dance in front of her in-laws so she refused to perform.

Lila loudly and teasingly said "Jodha this is once in a life time opportunity where you can openly complain and praise about your husband to your mother in-law..."

Jodha shyly said "Shhh... Lila" but everyone started supporting Lila and requested Jodha to dance. At last, Hamida got up and said "Jodha, comeon...don't be shy, Jalal is not here...today you are allowed to complain. Look everyone, including me wants to see you dancing. Finally she nodded her head and agreed to dance and sing.

Lila got up excitedly and announced "Now Jodha and Shenshah Urrf our Shivani will perform."

Everyone took their seat. Jodha put long veil and sat in dancing pose in the center of the hall. Shivani came in Jalal's outfit. Everyone in the hall started to laugh out loud seeing Shivani in Jalal's dress.

Jalal saw her sitting but couldn't see her clearly due to her long veil. He smirk happily seeing her in the dress he picked.

Jodha started to sing with her melodious voice...

Jodha narrowed her eyes and angrily stared at Jalal and said politely and calmly in front of Hamida banoo and her Masa "Shenshah, Please don't feel offended but you shouldn't have come here. You are a king of the kings and if you don't follow rules then no one will follow rules. I clearly told you that you cannot come to Sangeet function, only women are allowed then why did you come here??"

Jalal smirked a little and said to himself Ohhh Jodha you are trying to act smart... hmmm... wait... I know you very well now.

Jalal in very polite tone replied "Pranam Masa and Addab Ammi Jaan, I completely agree with Jodha begum, I wish I knew this is the sangeet hall, I got some spare time and as I promised the shehzadis (little princesses) to play hide and seek with them. I was just playing with them and didn't realize when I entered this restricted area." Then he pointed his hands towards the little princesses and called all of them and asked one of them what they were playing. As per their plan, little princess immediately replied "Our Jijusa is the best jiju in the entire world, he gave us so many gifts and also he was playing with us hide and seek. We all love you jiju"then they all surrounded Jalal.

Jalal wickedly looked at Jodha. Jodha smiled controlling her fuming anger.

Mainavati again got upset with Jodha and said "Jodha, before advising your husband you need to verify and you should not advice your husband in front of us. If you like to tell him something, next time talk to him in private."

Hamida in supporting tone replied "Mainavatiji, don't worry about Jodha, she is a very sensible girl and lot more mature than Jalal and this was just a misunderstanding otherwise my Jodha doesn't make any mistake" then she sweetly kissed Jodha's forehead.

Mainavati asked "Jodha, Are you ready for the Ring Ceremony???"

Jodha teasingly replied "Yes Masa I am ready but let's see your Jamaisa is ready or not!!"

One of the dasi (maid) came to inform Mainavati that a group of about twenty dancers just came to perform in the Ring Ceremony.

Jalal also realized he needed to see Mirza and Abdul and check if they came up with any plan.

Jodha smirked seeing his bothered face. She was very sure there is no way Jalal can win this challenge. She said in silently stammered 'No matter what you do Jalal this time I will win and I make sure you don't touch me till we reach Agra... You trying to act smart with me... hmmm... let's see who wins. I am so sure you will not sing and propose to me in front of this many people, you are too shy to sing in front of people but kissing... oh god he is shameless. Never know he can kiss in front of everyone.' Just a thought of that embarrassing situation gave her shiver.

Abdul and Mirza both were coming towards Jalal with big winning smile on their faces. They told Jalal the whole plan. After hearing the entire plan a wicked smile crawled on Jalal's lips and with deep relief he sighed out.

Lila and Surya were walking towards the ceremony hall. Lila with frustrating tone asked "When are you going to talk to Raja Bharmal Surya? It is time for ring ceremony function now."

Surya confusingly replied "Lila I don't know what to do??? If I ask for Sukanya's hand then Bapusa will never forgive me for that and if I don't take any action now then it will be too late. Lila I have to pick between my love and bapusa
