I'm wondering whether arnav will believe khushi or dhruv when he knows. dhruv would surely cook up some story to the family to save himself.

n he really is very cruel

glad arnav is there to save her

just wish he is there always

happy she got to talk to shyam

wish he is too able to help her

hmm so finally a family member knows the truth. wonder what will dhruv do if he comes to know that shyam knows the truth. and even terrifying to think how he will treat kushi. wonderful update, waiting eagerly for the next one

nice update...

i want to know what shyam is gonna say about Dhruv ... i think its gonna be an interesting one ...

and arnav is getting suspicious as well .. waiting for him to know the truth ... thx for PM ...

C H A P T E R - 7

"Still"

Khushi shook her head. Shyam sighed and pocketed his hands.

"Now you tell me" Khushi said after a brief silence.

"Hhmm" he hummed and walked back and forth while Khushi waited patiently.

"Maybe you don't know that Dhruv is an illicit child of Raizada" Khushi's eyes went wide with shock.

"Illicit" she whispered looking down, it took her time to register.

"Yeah he is. I don't know much about their past nor i ever tried to interfere. It's their personal matter and everyone here in the Mansion is quite sensitive regarding this matter" he spoke and turned back to look at her.

Shock was evident on her face.

~ I can't believe you are Di's and Arnav's brother.

Now it hit her, that why her each word had angered him to an extent that night.

"Anjali's father...he had an affair outside and her mother suicided when she came to know about the truth. I don't remember but i think Dhruv's mother was murdered" he said and Khushi was shocked again.

"Then?" she whispered.

"Anjali's father gave him shelter and brought him up here in this Mansion. But just after some years, he breathed his last too" Shyam finished and Khushi was staring at him with her still wide eyes.

It was so difficult to digest everything.

"Then. What about Arnav? Di? and Nani Ji?" She questioned.

Shyam smiled.

"There are the kindest people on the Earth Khushi. They have always treated Dhruv as their own son and Anjali and Arnav love him endlessly. You see, Dhruv is the one who handles their business.."

"And Dhruv?"

"He doesn't hate them" he replied.

Khushi gazed down at the ground. This is why the siblings contrast a lot. Dhruv differs from them, from his lifestyle to his nature. They are so much unlike.

"And.." Khushi asked more, her curiosity rising.

"And i don't know much Khushi" he replied.

"But then why is Dhruv like this...He's different. I mean...he's a beast. He's not at all kind like Di and Arnav" Khushi spoke.

"Is it because of the past?" she added.

"Maybe or...maybe not. I seriously don't know" he replied and Khushi sighed, shaking her head.

He never told her and why would he even tell her?

"Khushi, why don't you just nullify this marriage and get away from him?" he asked and Khushi looked up at him; quiet.

He doesn't deserve you and i have already told you that he is not any marriage item. I know him. I have caught him red-handed doing stuffs and it's me who have been fighting his numerous cases" Shyam said.

"And moreover he's just revenging you" he added and Khushi looked away.

Shyam sighed.

"I just want you fine, because you are just like a sister to me Khushi. And i know Dhruv, he is moody and totally unpredictable. You might not bear his outside flings.."

"I don't even care" Khushi replied quickly but calmly.

"I hate him for whatever he is doing with me" she added.

"I just don't like..

"What? You don't like what?" Khushi's eyes went wide like saucers and she gasped when she heard Dhruv's booming voice.

She gulped and looked at Shyam who was staring at beyond her. Shyam glanced at her and then at Dhruv who was glaring at both of them.

"We were just talking about the cuisine of Lucknow." Shyam smiled and moved towards him.

Khushi slowly turned around and found Dhruv's piercing gaze at her and Shyam. Shyam patted his back.

"Di wants you" he said in his curt tone.

"Yeah" Shyam murmured and glancing at Khushi once, he left.

Khushi gulped again when Dhruv turned towards her, his eyes showcasing only anger for her as he now strode towards her.

"What was going on?" he asked gritting his teeth.

Khushi narrowed her gaze, and instead of answering she questioned back through her eyes.

"What was he telling you?" he hissed and moved closer to her and she stepped back in fear.

"About the Lucknowi Cuisine" she muttered.

"Lie?"

"Why would i lie?" Khushi defensed herself.

"Listen me Khushi carefully. I swear i'll not spare you if i got even an inkling..."

"What's wrong with you? Are you so afraid?" she yelled angrily.

"Shut. Up" Dhruv gritted grasping her elbow while Khushi hissed in pain.

"...roll till i'm out of luck, yeah...I'm feeling something deep inside...Hmm...Hmm..na na...Hotter than the jet str..." Arnav stopped singing and swinging the car keys around his finger, the moment he saw Dhruv and Khushi at the poolside while climbing the stairs.

And it seemed as if they were quarreling about something.

"I want your mouth zipped Khushi"

Khushi pulled her hand back from his grasp angrily.

"So what am i doing till now?" she retorted.

"Better" he whispered in his grave tone.

Finding Shyam and Khushi together had totally confused him as well as made him suspicious and keeping the anger in control was difficult for him.

Arnav watched Dhruv as he strode away angrily while Khushi turned to a side. Her face dull and shoulders slumped almost in defeat.

Dhruv glanced at Arnav again. His steady gaze on him and Khushi puzzled him while Arnav was trying to know the reason behind the tension between them.

Because aren't the newly wed couples supposed to be happy always..not always but still..Yeah but when it comes to Dhruv...even the Sun is in a square shape - thought Arnav shaking his head.

He stared at Khushi who was very quietly dining and seemed lost in deep thoughts.

He again looked at Dhruv and sighed.

Khushi looked beside her at Dhruv and Shyam's words echoed in her mind.

"Illicit Child of Raizada"

That was indeed a shocking information about him. She never thought that he would have such a complicated past. The thought did melt her heart but remembering those harsh words and harsh treatment, she felt only hatred for him.

Just because of his past, doesn't mean he can destroy someone's future. Khushi looked away and passed a smile to Arnav when their eyes met.

"Bhai" Arnav called out loudly and Dhruv stopped in his track and turned around.

Arnav increased his pace and reached Dhruv who stared at him.

"Speak" he bit out.

"I need the car keys Bhai. I forgot my book in the car" Arnav spoke.

Dhruv nodded and dipping his hand in his pocket, he handed him the car keys.

"Thank You Bhai" Arnav muttered flashing a grateful smile.

But just as he titled his body to turn back and leave, something struck him and he stopped.

"Bhai" he called him again before he could enter inside his Dark room.

"Now what?" he asked.

"Urh..Actually, i just wanted to make sure if...if everything is going fine between you and Bhabhi" Arnav asked but regretted asking it the next moment seeing Dhruv ****ing an eyebrow.

"I mean, Bhabhi was a little upset today" he added.

"I was just worried about you both" he clarified himself.

"Look Arnav..That's our personal matter and i'll be glad if you stay away. Everything is fine" Dhruv replied in his curt tone.

Arnav did feel a little bad but he smiled at him still, nodding his head. He would never want to interfere in their personal and why would he even, he never likes poking his nose in other's matters but he was just a little worried for Dhruv. Because he knows his brother loves Khushi and he also knows his nature. His unpredictability. One can not rely on his mood.

On the other hand, he was concerned for Khushi also who is a new member of their family and maybe not so much aware of Dhruv's habits.

And so he wanted to make sure if everything is right between them seeing them suddenly tensed.

"Concentrate on your papers" Dhruv suppressed a smile and left from there.

Arnav stood there for some time and shaking his head, he hurriedly jumped down stairs.

"I shouldn't have asked" he muttered.

The next morning, Khushi was in the kitchen preparing Tea for Rekha who was there in the mansion early morning without any invite.

Khushi was utterly shocked last night when Dhruv chose to spend his night in the Dark room, she had expected another night of arguments and a big fight but seeing him going away from the room without a word, confused her to the core. Was he up to something?

Khushi gulped at the thought.

"Bhabhi...where are you lost. The tea is perfectly ready now" asked Lavanya throwing a glance in her direction while tapping hurriedly on her Phone. She was sitting up on the slab, swinging her legs and trying to engage Khushi in some conversation.

Khushi looked up at her and smiled.

"Nothing and yep the tea is almost done" Khushi replied turning off the flame.

"Uhun...Kahin Dhruv bhai ke khayalon main to gum nahi hain na aap Bhabhi" Lavanya teased and that faint smiled on Khushi's face vanished.

Yes she was thinking about Dhruv because of the slight change in his behaviour had totally made her suspicious about him but obviously not in the context of what Lavanya mean.

Khushi plastered a smile and spoke.

"There is nothing like what you think" Khushi replied.

"Achhaaa...Don't lie Bhabhi. Your eyes say everything" Lavanya nudged her lightly while Khushi just could give a fake smile.

Reading one's eyes is surely not an easy task.

"And Bhabhi..i can see..."

"Hey La.." Arnav entered inside the Kitchen and upon finding Lavanya, he simply waved his hand at her with a small smile.

"Hey" she smiled wide and admired Arnav as he stooped down to take something out of the refrigerator and his shirt rode up a little while Khushi poured the tea in the cups.

"La babyyy..." Lavanya jerked at her mother's shrill tone and Khushi looked at her confusedly.

"I'll be back" Lavanya smiled nervously and glancing at Arnav, she jumped down the slab and left from there hurriedly.

Arnav gulped the icy water down his throat and watched Lavanya as she ran away. Tightly closing the cap of the bottle, Arnav looked at Khushi who was struggling to get something from the upper cabinets.

Placing the bottle aside, Arnav walked up to Khushi and stood behind her. Khushi jerked back a little and looked beside her immediately, the moment a hand appeared above hers.

Khushi smiled at Arnav gratefully, as he helped her taking out the spoons and moved back.

"Thanks"

"You are most welcome Bhabhi. Let me help you...hand me the tray" Arnav murmured taking hold of the tray from her hands.

"Arna...It's fine" she tried to stop him.

"Follow me" ordered Arnav tilting his head back making Khushi smile.

"Yes Boss" Khushi saluted and picking up the next small tray, she followed him.

That was beautiful update...

Is Shyam has any problem with Dhruv? why is he telling Dhruv past to kushi, i know kushi has the rights to know but still why he is taking so much interest on saving her...😕
