SHAADI JHAMELA - chapter 3

~~Randhir's Office~~

He finished his work. In the entire day, he discovered all professional details about sanyukta, where she worked, what other works she dis after office everything. He found out that she governed a NGO for helpness women and orphan children. She visit there everyday just after her office hours. He wrapped up his stuffs and reached the NGO.

~~Sanyukta's NGO~~

She finished her all work and reached her NGO. Children gathered as they noticed her entrance. Among them there was a small kid around 5 years old named VEER. He was admired by everyone there as he was youngest among all. Sanyu took him to her arms and kissed his cheek.

(zyada mat socho yahi bacha sandhir milaap ka sabse badaa reason banega. Aage aage dekho hota hai kya)

V: didi ap aa gaye. Dekho maine drawing banayi hai.(he said in his kiddish voice and slippery tongue)
S: achha dikhao.

He got down from her arms, shown her the drawing and it was a beautiful natural morning scene.

S: are suraj ka colour kahan hai?
V: wo kya hai na didi maine socha.

He placed one arm on his chest and with the other hand's index finger his tapped his forehead at the brain area and continued.

S: kya socha tumne?
V: ki jab main subah jaldi uthhta hun to ye sun orange hota hai. Fir agle din jab aur thoda late uthhta hun tab yellow ho jaata hai. Fir jab thodi der zyada usko dekh leta hun tab white dikh jaata hai. Aur pata hai jab wo sham ko gayab hota hai tab red ho jaata hai. To na main confuse ho jaata hun ki uska exact colour kya hai.

She brusted out laughing at his innocent words and then said.

S: achha suno main tumhe batati hun.

She sat on the lawn, made his sit on her lap and continued.

S: tumhe pata hai sun hai na har colour ka source hai. Uski wajah se humare aas paas itne saare colours hein. Isliye to wo apni marzi se colour change karta hai.
V: sach didi.

S: much.
V: to fir hum bhi sun ban sakte hein.

S: bilkul ban sakte hein. Bas humme bhi wahi potential hona chahiye khud ko prove karne ka. To jab humara veer school join karega to first hoga na.
V: haan. Par didi ye potential kya hota hai.

S: umm potential matlab power jo hume dood pine se aata hai. Par kya karen veer me to potential aa hi nahi sakti. Wo doodh ko hate jo karta hai aur kabhi nahi pita.

V: ab roz piunga na. Promise.
S: very good. Ab jao khelo.

She again hugged him tightly from back as he was still on her lap and kissed his cheek.

All this was observed by our very own rd. He was resting his cheek on his fist, which was planted on a nearby tree.

~~Randhir's POV~~

How can be someone so kind, so gentle, so innocent and so pure. I could not believe in my eyes that the same girl was infront of me who was terribly fighting with a man. She was just like those children without any dirt in her heart. How easily and with so much maturity she solved the problem. I was amazed and impressed too. But one more thing my brain was punching me. "kash main us veer ki jagah hota. Mujhe bhi itni saari pappiyaan milti. Haaye... but koi nai isiliye to main yahaan aaya hun. So jawaan, kadam kadam badhaye ja".

~~No One's POV~~

Meanwhile all the children shouted, "didi chalo na luka chhipi khelte hein" and he came out of his trance. She made a mace narrowing her eyes and then popped up.

S: ummm.. Ok.. Main count karti hun tum sab chhup jao.

She closed her eyes and started counting. He was enjoying all facial expressions and childish moves. After finishing counting, as she opened her eyes and gazed here and there, she found something finshy near the same tree, where rd was hiding. Probably, she found someone spying. As soon as her sight fell on him, he hid himself. He found her advancing towards him. He closed his eyes hell tight and started praying.

R(in mind): hey bhagwaan, is bar bacha le. Agli bar khud uske saamne jaunga. Abhi agar isne dekh liya to mera bhi haal us aadmi jesa kar degi. Kidnapping k jurm kahin me ander ma karwa de.

With this he opened his eyes and what he found was beyond his nightmares. He gulped his saliva and pouted "sanyukta". There she was standing crossing her arms against her chest and narrowing her vision. His eyes wide opened and hands moved back towards tree.

She eyed him in a questionable of "what". He just grinned like fools and gulped again.

R: aaa..actually..wo..ahh..i..i was..(he stammered)
S: umm.. Spying on me. Right?

R: yes..i mean no.. I was passing from this was and saw you were with the kids, to dekhne aa gaya.
S: apni bakwaas band karo. Main koi bewakuf nahi hun. Kya plan kya hai haan?(she disgusted)

R(in mind): ise kaise pata chala maine plan banaya hai. Kahin dad ne milkar team to nahi bana li iske saath.
S: are bolo kya planning leke aaye ho yahaan. Tumhari mom ne jitna kiya wo kam tha kya jo mujhe examine karne mere pichhe pichhe yahaan tak aa gaye tum.

R: pheww.. Look I know you are hurt. Kisi bhi ladki k liye ye bahut insult ki baat hai main samajhta hun. Trust me main bhi bolna chahta tha but...
S: but kya haan.. Apni mom k dar se unke har galat kaam me unka support karoge? Disgusting.

She brusted and was leaving but just then she stopped hearing the manly voice from back "i love you sanyukta". Her eyes widened and she turned back. She gazed him with blank expression and he continued.

R: please sanyukta. I know main galat tha par please ek chance dedo mujhe apne ap ko prove karne ka. Look ek chance to criminal ko bhi diya jaata hai. Fir main to tumse pyar karta hun. Jo punishment jo test lena hai lelo. But please aise naraaz hoke mat jao. Main dad ko promise karke aaya hun unki bahu leke aaunga.

S: are you nuts. Kya bakwaas kare ja rahe ho. Ek bar dekh liya aur pyar ho gaya. Tum kya mujhe paagal samajhte ho jo tum pe believe karun main. Ab to main pakka sure hun ki tum kisi planning k saath aaye ho.

R: are suno to. Pehli bat ye pehli bar main tumhe nahi dekh raha ye tum bhi jaanti ho but tum ye nahi jaati ki main 3rd time tumhe dekh raha hoon. Pehli bar to maine tumhe road pe dekha tha us aadmi pe baraste hue. Pata hai tumhari end waali smile bahut cute thi bilkul tumhari tarah.(he said blushingly)

She smiled at his cuteness and made an irritating face hiding her smile.

~~Sanyukta's POV~~

He was looking innocent but how could have I believed in him. How could have I forgot that he was silent at that position, when the same person was being ibsulted whom he loves and biggest question was how can someone fall in love at first sight. He was really very filmy. I had to clear my doubts then only I could think to give him a chance.

~~No One's POV~~

She gazed him with questionable looks and his expressions were pleading. She moved her jaws in confusion and then finally she pouted.

S: Tin-Tin. Tin-Tin(she called the caretaker)
T: ji didi(he rushed quickly)

S: bacho ko bol de aj didi nahi khel paayegi. Ek imp kaam hai.
T: thik hai didi.

Rd's face gloomed up and a long curve took place on his lips for a huge smile. She smirked gazing him from the cornor of her eyes and both headed out of the NGO.

~~Cafe~~

Sandhir reached the nearest cafe. He pulled a chair for her like a real gentleman. She smirked and had a seat with attitude. He too took the front seat.

R: so please order.
S: tumhare behaviour se to gentleman lagte ho.

R: ye to good sign hai na.
S: par isse sirf tumhari personality hai tumhara nature nahi.

R: waise ek baat puchhun isse pehle ki tum apna exam start karo?
S: puchh lo.

R: us veer se jaise baat kar rahi thi utne pyar se nahi kar sakti kya? I mean tum use to itna attitude nahi de rahi thi.
S: usne meri dignity ko hurt nahi kiya tha.

R: agar ye promise main bhi karun to?
S: ye to mere doubts clear hone k baad hi keh sakti hun.

R: to order karo?
S: abhi se kaise order dun.

R: to kya humare jaane k baad dogi?
S: par order dun kyun?

R: to phir hum yahaan aaye hi kyun hein?
S: baat karne.

R: iska ye matlab thodi hai hum kuch le bhi nahi sakte.
S: tum is order ki baat kar rahe the?

R: haan kyun?
S: mujhe laga tumhe.(she bit her tongue)

R: oh to tum mujhe order dene ki baat kar rahi thi.

She grinned embarresly and he continued.

R: chalo ye to pata chal gaya ki meri wife mujhe orders nahi degi.
S: wife! Kaafi confident ho?(she raised her orbs)

R: well self-confidence hona ek positive sign hai.
S: dekhte hein ye kitni helpful hai.

R: ab orders de dein?
S: par apni payment main khud karungi.

R: iski kya zarurat hai? I mean is bar main kar deta hun next time tum kar dena.
S: next time milenge ya nahi ye time batayega.(she smirked)

They placed their respective orders and sipping her lemon tea sanyu started.

S: main tumse sirf do que puchhungi. Jo ki mere huge doubts hein.

He nodded.

S: 1st question tum mujhse teen bar mile, jisme sirf ek bar humari baat hui to isme mujhme aisa kya dekh liya tumne?

R: (he smiled and replied)jab pehli bar dekha tab tumme ek fire dekha. Kuch bhi galat ho uske saamne confidence k saath khade hone ka power dekha. Ek mountain dekha jo har storm ko khel sakti hai.

Dusri bar me tumhari simplicity dekhi aur ye bhi dekha ki tum badon k kisi bhi baat ko talti nahi ho. Unki respect karti ho par agar tumhare self-respect ki baat ho to tum kisi se bhi fight kar sakti ho.

Aur tisri bar us matured insaan ko dekha jo time padne par ek chhoti bachi hai aur kisi bhi complicated chiz easily aur simply solve kar sakti hai.

S: itni saari chizen to maine bhi kabhi nahi dekhi mujh me.(she smiled) To 2nd aur sabse bada doubt mera ye hai ki maine tumhari mom ki itni insult ki, unhe itna lecture diya. Kya guarentee hai ki tum ye sab revenge k liye nahi kar rahe ho? Ho sakta hai unhone hi tumhe bheja ho.

R: ye question to tumhe puchhna hi nahi chahiye kyunki tum khud hi socho, NGO se yahaan tum mere saath akele aayi. Main kuch bhi kar sakta tha aur wo hi kyun tum smart ho to ye achhi tarah samajhti hogi ki agar main tumhare NGO tak pahunch sakta hun to kahin bhi pahunch sakta hun. Par kuch kiya nahi maine kyunki itni gandi soch nahi hai meri.

He was quite hurt with this question, so he disgusted and called the waiter. He paid his bill and was leaving. Just the she called him from back but he was not in a mood to listen. She ran amd blocked his way. He moved his vision here and there. She gazed him from apologic eyes and pouted.

S: I am sorry. Aaa.. Doubt clear karna important tha. Tum khud hi socho tumhari mom mere saath kaisa behave karengi shaadi k baad. Baad chhodo wo humari hone hi.kyun dengi. Wo to meri shakal se hi nafrat karti hongi. I dont think ye shaadi kabhi hogi.

He gazed her with full of rage and was stepping ahead. Just then, she clutched his wrist and continued.

S: bill pura nahi bharoge?

He turned his head and stared her. Unknowing he forgot his anger and a smile crept on his lips. He dragged him to the table and made him sit. He was constantly staring her. He took a seat and continued.

S: dekho rd. Is shaadi k liye humare ghar waalo ka manna sabse imp hai. Bhai bahut gussa hai aur maa guilty hai. Papa bhi bahut dukhi hein. Main..

She said in one go snd she stopped when she found his constant sight on her placing his chin on his palms. She narrowed her eyelids and then she shook him. He came out of his wonder world.

S: kya kar rahe ho tum? Thodi der pehle to itne gussa the ki uthh kar chal diye. Aur abhi dobara milne ko ready ho gayi to sudden change. Lakh aashiq dekhe hein tumhare jaise paagal se pehli bar saamna ho raha hai. Uff.

She rubbed her fingers on her forehead but he was again peering her with his foolish smile.

S(in mind): agar ise kuch kehna bekar hai. Ye pyar hai ya atyachar jo aadmi ko andha, gunga aur behra banaa deta hai. Aghh..

S: apna phone do.(she shook him hard)

He gave her his phone coming out of trance.

S: agar is bar ghoora na next time milne ka plan cancel kar dungi.
R(scarsically): ok.

She dialled her number but her phone did not ring. She checked her phone and it was silent.

S: shit! 3 missed calls. I have to leave.
R: par.

S: dekho maa ka phone hai. Aur tumne ghur ghur k apna time khud waste kiya hai and let me leave. Ye lo tumhara phone. I have fed my number and kal milungi main tumse. Bye.

Saying this she left leaving a sad rd behind.

R: hmm.. Itne khatarnak questions puchhe, aisa lag raha tha mera rape kar rahi hai. Par achha idea lagaya. Thoda attitude to mera bhi banta hai. Atleast number to mil gaya. Waah rd tera jawaab nahi.

~~Sanyukta's House~~

She entered her house and her mom rushed to her.

An: kahan thi tu itni der. Kitni bar phone kiya maine.
S: wo maa phone silent pe tha to dhyaan nahi gaya.

An: koi baat nahi mu haat dho le ja.

She follwed her and moved to her room. She changed to her casuals and checked her phone. She found the number and recalled him. Unknowing she smiled and a word released from her mouth "paagal". She saved his number and threw his phone and reached the mirror. She settled her hairs to a single side of shoulder and his words echoed in her mind "tumhari end waali smile tk sabse zyada cute thi, tumhari simplicity dekhi". She went into her thoughts.

~~Sanyukta's POV~~

Sach hi keh raha tha wo. Usko agar kuch karna hota to kar hi sakta tha. Strong to dikh hi raha tha. Fitting waali t-shirt pehni thi usne, body pata chal rahi thi. Ek min main usko check out kar rahi thi? Impossible sanyu. Itna effect to nahi ho sakta uski smile ka. Kyam firse. Aghhh ab sochungi hi nahi.
* * * * *

Her trance broke when her mom called her for dinner. She had her dinner and returned her room. With confused emotions, she could not sleep. Still after sometime she dozzed off.

~~Randhir's House~~

After dinner he was lying in his bed placing his left ankle on his right knee and head on both his palms. He was gazing the ceiling shaking his left foot with a smile lost in his future world with her.

~~Randhir's POV~~

Wow! Kitna beautiful hai sab kuch. Shaadi, jo ki yun to jhamela hai fir bhi uske baad bhi jaan bujh k gussa ho jaunga fir waise hi manayegi jaise aj manaya hath pakad k. Waise kya soft the uske haath. Wo bacha kya naam tha uska veer, main bhi waise hi karunga fir mujhe bhi kissie milegi. Waise kaise dikhege wo shaadi k baad, kaise pata chalega koi pic bhi nahi hai. FB pe dekhta hun.
* * * * *

He rushed to his laptop, opened her FB id and somehow managed to get a pic of her. He started editing it in a bridal make up in photoshop.

Meanwhile his dad came but he did not notice that he was sitting infront of him.

H: kya baat hai barkhordaar. Hum kabse baithe hein yahaan aur ap to bade busy hein. Aisa kya kar rahe hein.
R: ku..kuch nahi dad. Aaa..ap kab aaye.

H: aa to hum tabse gaye jab ap apne laptop me ghuse pade hein. Kya kar rahe hein.

Rd latched his laptop and put it in a side.

R: ku..kuch bhi to nahi dad. Hihi(he grinned). O..office ka kaam.
H: ap hakla rahe hein to jhut bol rahe hein. Ab ap batayenge ya hum apki maasa se kahen ki ap aj sanyukta se milne gaye the.

R: apko kaise pata?
H: bhai baap hein apke. Apki khushi dekh k samajh gaye the ki wo maan gayi hogi. Kyun hai na?

R: haan dad. I love you.
H: ab isi khushi me dikha dijiye ku kar kya rahe hein.

He showed him his laptop and bit his teeth.

H: to humari bahu ki photo edit ki jaa rahi hai. Kahan se mile?
R: FB se.

H: ye sahi nahi hai bete.
R: dad pyar aur jung me sab sahi hai.

H: dialogue mat mariye. So jaiye. Fir kaale baadal early morning ap par barasne aa jaayege.
R: ok dad. Gn.
H: gn son.

He switched off the light and felt flat on bed but sleep was far away from his eyes. He was hell excited to meet her. After a long time, he dozzed off.
