Episode 6: Catch Me if you Can
Late at night, Kabir and Damini headed into a small motel to stay for the night. In the room, Damini went to go sleep on the couch. "Why sleep on the couch?" Kabir asked Damini. "You may take the bed if you like."
Damini got up from the couch and went towards Kabir, looking directly at him. "No need for such courtesy. I know what you're thinking. I'm a woman, so you feel pity," Damini said. "Just remember...you don't know who you're dealing with. So quietly go and sleep...and mind your own business."
Kabir was left speechless and Damini then headed back to the couch. She took a blanket and fell asleep. Kabir took off his boots and laid down on the bed, restless in thoughts. That attitude...its unusual. Never seen it in a girl before, Kabir thought to himself.
On the other hand in the den of the Killers Society, Raja was still up. He took a black cloak which he wore over his uniform. While doing so, he took out two pistols and loaded them with bullets. After which, he stored them inside his cloak and headed out from his room to the main hall. He went up to one of the guards and said, "I'm going out to buy more guns. Make sure those two boys don't go anywhere," Raja ordered. "Especially Sahir."
"Yes, sir." the guard nodded. Raja smirked, and headed out of the den.
Early in the morning, Kabir and Damini left the motel and rode Kabir's motorcycle on the streets. Seeing them, Officer Rahat began to follow quietly. "Raina, I'm right behind them." Officer Rahat said on his phone as he continued to follow Kabir and Damini on his bike.
"Good, Rahat. We're already on our way to the location sent. We will counter attack once we reach there." Inspector Raina said as she was riding inside a police jeep from the other end.
As Kabir continued to drive, he looked in the side mirror of his bike and noticed Officer Rahat right behind them. A suspicious look formed on his face. As Kabir continued to drive straight, he turned the bike, making a right turn instead. Officer Rahat stopped in confusion. "What are you doing? This is the wrong way!" Damini said.
"I know. But a police officer is following us." Kabir replied.
"What?!" Damini asked.
"We'll have to create a diversion." Kabir said.
Kabir stopped the bike off the side of the road. Damini got off the bike. "I'll head to the location on my own. Stay here. When the officer comes, you strike. Then you can get to the location through that route on the other side." Kabir explained. Damini nodded and Kabir started his bike and continued to ride down the road. "Clever guy." Damini smirked. She drew out her gun and stood against a wall.
"Raina, they changed their direction," Officer Rahat told Inspector Raina. "I don't know what to do."
"Just go in the same direction they did! They're trying to fool you!" Inspector Raina shouted.
Officer Rahat continued to ride his bike and headed in the same direction as Kabir and Damini went. As he approached the road further, Damini held out her gun and fired a bullet, which hit at Officer Rahat's bike wheel. The bike derailed onto the right side of the road, hitting into a brick wall. Officer Rahat fell off the bike, hitting onto the road. Damini ran across the road quickly and went up the brick wall, jumping onto the roof of a house. She continued to run on the roof until she reached another wall and jumped again.
At the road, Inspector Raina arrived with back up officers in her jeep. They stopped by Officer Rahat. "Rahat!" Inspector Raina called as she went towards Officer Rahat with the other officers. Officer Rahat laid unconscious as the officers tried to help him up. "Officer Aayat!" Inspector Raina called.
"Yes." a lady officer replied.
"Call for another jeep. I'm taking this jeep and following the killers. Make sure to call an ambulance for Officer Rahat." Inspector Raina ordered.
"Yes, ma'am." Officer Aayat agreed.
Inspector Raina headed inside the jeep at the drivers seat and took off, heading onto the road.
At a large granite house, Kabir stopped his bike right by the gates. At that very moment, Damini arrived by coming down from the wall surrounding the house. Kabir gave her a signal, pointing his finger to the inside of the house. Damini nodded and headed towards the house. Just then, the guards came out from the house and headed towards Damini, seeing her. Damini punched one of the guards in the face and threw him against the other guard. As the two fell to the ground, she shot each one five times in their backs in her usual shooting style. Just then, Inspector Raina arrived in her jeep. As she saw Kabir go inside the area, she drew out her gun. She fired a shot which Kabir dodged and then ran inside the house along with Damini. "Trying to be smart with me!" Inspector Raina shouted. "I will see your end!"
Inside the house, Kabir and Damini came to the main lobby. "Do as Raja bhai said. Search the house and take all the valuables. I'll take care of Mr. Riyaz." Kabir ordered. Damini headed downstairs, going down the hall. Just then, Inspector Raina entered inside the house. Kabir turned around and saw her. She raised her gun and fired another shot which Kabir dodged again. Kabir ran upstairs and Inspector Raina followed him, continuing to fire shots. Kabir fired as well as he continued to run across the hall, going through each room. He then entered the master bedroom where a man was hiding in fear behind the bed. "Who are you?! Why are you in my house?!" the man asked in terror.
"So you're Riyaz Ahmed?" Kabir asked, grinning.
"Yes. Please spare me!" Riyaz pleaded. "I have done nothing wrong!"
Kabir drew out his gun, digging it into the skin of Riyaz' head. "Don't worry. This will be quick." Kabir said.
Just then, Inspector Raina entered the room and fired a shot which Kabir ducked from as the bullet hit into the wall. "Drop the gun, get down on your knees, and put your hands in the air!" Inspector Raina commanded as she held her gun upward, aiming at Kabir. Kabir stood still, trying not to make any sudden moves. He moved away from Riyaz, and got down on his knees. After dropping his gun on the floor, he held his hands up. Inspector Raina carefully went towards him, still holding her gun aiming at him. As she continued to walk, Kabir raised his arm to hit Inspector Raina. Inspector Raina grabbed his arm to which Kabir hit the gun out of Inspector Raina's other hand. The gun fell across the floor and Kabir grabbed it quickly. Inspector Raina swinged at Kabir, to which Kabir grabbed her arm and threw her against the wall. She grabbed Kabir's gun which laid on the floor. As she was about to shoot, Kabir fired and the bullet hit Inspector Raina at her shoulder. Inspector Raina fell on the floor, holding onto her shoulder in pain as blood oozed from her shoulder. Kabir went up to her and dropped her gun. He then grabbed the gun that was in Inspector Raina's hand. "I don't use police guns." Kabir grinned.
Kabir then turned to a terrified Riyaz, aiming his gun directly to his face. He waved his hand to Riyaz and grinned, "Goodbye." That's when Kabir fired the bullet at Riyaz' forehead and Riyaz fell to the floor, dead. Just then, Damini entered inside the room with a surprised look on her face as she held a bag filled with valuables she had found inside the house. Kabir then aimed his gun at the window, firing at the glass until the glass had completely shattered. "Damini!" Kabir called out.
Damini looked at a dead Riyaz and Inspector Raina, who laid helpless on the floor before she then went along with Kabir. Kabir grabbed her by her arm, pulling her to him as the two jumped out of the window and landed into a pool outside of the house. As they got out of the pool, they ran back to the front of the house and got on Kabir's bike, taking off.
Inspector Raina slowly made her way towards the window, seeing Kabir and Damini getting away on the road. "That boy...he's more clever than I could imagine," Inspector Raina said. "You may have won this time. But this game...has just been set."
