Chapter 18
"Why did you hide this truth from me?" Asked Navya as she broke the hug and looked at his father with disappointed eyes.
Deepak knew that by now she is aware about Natasha and hence he should tell everything now.
"Navya, I never wanted your situation like me." He held her hand firmly "Your grandfather had a huge, extended business firm which is now handled by me. Your Grandmother died in a car accident when I was 2 years old just like your mother Natasha but here she died just after giving birth to you. After your grandmother's death, your grandfather locked all his sentiments within himself and started staying away from the house by devoting himself fully into the work. Meanwhile I used to be left in the care of servants. I never got the love of a mother which I craved for and when history repeated again, I never wanted you to be left in the same situation and that is the reason I married Meeta as I wanted to bring a mother for you. I thought if you will come to know about this then the feeling of her being the step-mother of yours might never let you accept her fully as your real mother. Alas! I chose a wrong mother for you. It would have been better if you were raised without a motherly touch then this kind of betrayers."
"It's not your fault papa." She keeps a hand over his. "It's usually the fate which plays hard games with us. The ones whom you trust more than your life turn out to be your worst enemy and the ones whom you have never trusted upon turn out to be your true well-wishers."
Deepak caresses her head affectionately while Navya assures with her eyes that she is fine.

Anant's Residence:
"Anant was applying antiseptic liquid on Navya's wounds to which she was hissing away in pain. Deepak and Aarav have gone to the lawyer's place to make a strong case against Meeta as she should not get bail so soon.
"Aahh.. Anant it's paining a lot." Navya closed her eyes as the liquid was giving her a burning sensation at the corner of her lips.
"Bas ho gaya Navya." He replied softly as he applied an antiseptic cream there and placed a bandage on her forehead.
"Navya" He continued looking up at her "Remember you have asked me about the person who acted as a Godfather in my life?"
She nodded her head in reply.
"The one who has given me your responsibility?"
"Haan." She uttered waiting anxiously for him to disclose the name.
"He was your father." Anant gave a small smile seeing her shocked face.
Navya stood up speechless. She was getting one by one shock now.
"Acha wait let me make it easier for you."
He too stood up and went near his cupboard and came back with a photograph. He places it in her hands. It was the same photograph in which he was tying her hair and she is pulling his cheek.
"Hey that's me!" She exclaimed. "And that boy.." She can only remember it in faded visions as she was too small at that time.
"He used to come over at my place with papa and we used to play a lot. His name was also Anant." She looks at him to see him silently smiling.
Actually Navya is sharp at remembering names than faces of people so she was quick to recall the name from the slight vision which she remembers now with him of her childhood.
"That was you." She smiled ear to ear and he grinned nodding his head vertically.
She hugged him tightly while he reciprocated the same.
"Why didn't you tell me this before? Kitna jhagda kia maine tumahre saath." She started hitting him playfully on his chest as little tears came in her eyes. Not all revelations turn to be a shock, some actually give you a sweet surprise.
"Pagal ladki, I loved our fightings a lot!" He tightened his hug with a teasing smile to earn another hit from her.

"Am sorry papa, please forgive me." Navya came towards Deepak as they entered inside the house.
"Arae Beta what happened? Why are you saying sorry to me?" He asked surprised and looked at Anant to see him blinking his eyes in a gesture that she knows everything now.
"I know this now that it was you who has given Anant my responsibility. It was you who always wanted to safe me but I always trusted the wrong person. How can I not trust my own father? I can't face myself only now." Navya looked down as tears trickled down her face.
"You did all this unknowingly beta. There is no fault of yours." He wiped her tears away. " You were brainwashed by her in such a way that made you revolt against me but am happy that it's all over now. The bad phase has gone now."
Navya nodded her head in acceptance.
"Sir there is another confession which we would like to make now." Said Anant as he came and stood beside Navya. He looked at her and she got what he was talking about.
Deepak knotted his eyebrows in suspicion seeing them standing together, holding hands now.
"Papa, we..we..are in love with each other." Navya stammered and looked at him nervously.
"Sir, I love her a lot and I promise I will take care of her happiness and never..."
"Enough!" Deepak said in a loud voice making him stop midway.
He looked at Anant and then at Navya with a serious face. They exchanged a nervous glance and looked down like school kids while Aarav stood a bit away from them, nervous for his sir and ma'am.
"Looks like you have taken your responsibility way too seriously, Anant." He pointed with a stern expression.
"I am sorry Sir. It's my entire fault."
Anant said looking down as his eyes became a bit moist now. Navya was looking at the other side to control her tears. Aarav was also feeling very bad.
"Hmm you should be sorry as you called your father-in-law sir' for the second time." Deepak said with the same tone hiding his smile.
"Father-in-law" "Father-in-law" Both said together and looked at each other shockingly and then looked back at Deepak.
"Arae shaadi ke baad bhi sir' hi bulate rahoge ya papa bhi bulana hain?" He laughed loudly making them realize his meaning and they smiled widely with tears of joy. Deepak extended both his arms for a family hug and AnYa joined him in either sides. He blessed them caressing their heads. Aarav goes out to call Lisa to share this good news with her. Anant and Navya are getting married!!

After 1 month, 10 days
1 month was felt like 1 year by our lovebirds as the day Deepak accepted their relation, Deepak and Navya were shifted back in their Mishra mansion. Deepak got the date of marriage fixed by panditji after one month as there was no shubh muhurat before it. Both Anant and Navya were getting restless in their respective places as they were missing each other and had got used to each other, living together. Moreover strict restrictions of no meetings before marriage were made by Aarav's mother who came from Punjab for her son's wedding and has taken the initiative of Anant and Navya's wedding as well. Anant was now living in Aarav's house as her mother wanted to keep a strict watch on both of them that they don't meet their respective to-be wives sneakily before marriage. Anant had no option left but to accept it with a grumpy face.
It has been 10 days since Aarav and Lisa got married while our lovebirds didn't leave a chance on their wedding day to miss this opportunity and spent some quality time together.
Flashback
"Anant, this shaadi ka lehenga looks so heavy. Can't I wear a short dress instead of this?"
Navya looked at him with puppy eyes, throwing petals of flowers at Aarav and Lisa who were taking the seven rounds now in the mandap.
"I have a better option. Why don't you go for shorts and tee? You will be the first bride ever in such an unusual wear." Anant gazes at her sharply, mocking her.
"Huh! Don't make fun of me?" She pulled a face.
"Acha baba fine" He comes a bit closer to ear and whispers huskily "I will make sure that my ma'am's foot doesn't touch the ground that day."
She blushes a bit hearing him.
"And how will you do that?"
"You will get to know it on that day." He winks at her making her feel butterflies in her stomach.

Today it was the D-day of AnYa's life as they were getting married. Navya stood at the stairs and was held by Lisa from sideways. She was looking extremely beautiful in a red-colored lehenga studded with golden work. Her face hid halfway till her nose with a netted dupatta. Her face was glowing with a combination of happiness and shyness. As she took the first step to get down, she was stopped by Anant's voice.
"Wait." said Anant as he stood up from the mandap. He was looking like a prince-charming in a golden sherwani. Everyone looked at him surprised while he gave a small smile and went upstairs and stood before her. In a smooth swift, he lifted her in his arms and gestured Lisa to go down to which she agreed and got down.
"Actually I have promised someone that I will not let her foot touch on the ground. So.." He smiled wittily and everyone was in awe while he gave a naughty smile to Navya whose cheeks have turned crimson red by now. He started coming down with her. Deepak's eyes became moist seeing her daughter getting so much love from her to-be husband. Anant was indeed the ideal choice for his daughter.
He placed her on the mandap and sat beside her as the pandit started reciting the mantras. Both were lost in an eye-lock while Aarav coughed from the back, earning a strict glare from Anant while Lisa giggled. Soon they were asked to stand for the pheras and before Navya could stand, Anant lifted her in his arms again and they took the seven rounds with seven promises to each other. They were showered with flower petals while Lisa whispered "made for each other" admiring them and Aarav kept a hand on her shoulder, nodding his head in acceptance. Soon Anant tied the mangalsutra around her neck and puts sindoor on her mang. Navya blinked her tears as Anant wiped them with an assuring smile that he will never let these tears come on her eyes from now on. They were considered as Mr. and Mrs. Anant from now on.
There beginning started with hatred but their paths coincided making them fall in love with each other.
