Kripa smiles and looks at the banner above saying "Happy Retirement Angad"
Part 2
The limo passes through the city, Angad looks outside the window at the surroundings, it had been 2 months since he left Mumbai for an international tour, and although Angad loves to sing, he is happy that he is retiring and finally can give his family the time they deserve. He smiles and presses the button for the middle window to open
A - George
George, Angad's driver looks in the mirror
G - yes sir?
A - stop at the nearest flower shop
G - aah flowers for Kripa maam
A - yeah
George nods his head then signals left for the flower shop, Angad gets out and heads into the shop, he looks around and finds pink roses, he smells then picks them up, he then takes 5 single red roses then goes to the counter, the lady there recognises him
L - aahh Mr Angad Sir how are you?
A - fine thanks, how much is it?
L - no no sir, how can I charge you?
A - come on, I've retired now, I'm just a normal person like any other
The lady smiles and looks outside at the limo
L - normal people don't travel in limousines
A - I'll keep that in mind, but please, how much is it?
L - if you insist
She tells him the price and Angad pays her then before leaving he plucks a single pink rose from the bouquet and hands it to the lady then leaves. The limo pulls into the driveway of the Khanna Mansion and Angad sighs
A - home sweet home
The driver opens the door and Angad steps out and walks towards the main door while a servant carries his luggage. Angad opens the door and stands in the hallway looking at his home smiling
A - err.....Kripa? Karan? KK?
Angad listens out for any replies and frowns when there isn't any, he sighs and heads for the main room, he opens the door to find the lights off, he mumbles something before turning the lights on and getting the shock of his life
Everyone - Surprise!!!!
Angad is taken aback, in his main living room, his family, all of his close friends and colleagues are standing with champagne glasses, Angad looks around and spots the "Happy Retirement Angad" banner and smiles. He looks to his left to see his boys, he puts his arms out and both hug him
Kar - glad you're home dad
A - me too, how are you guys?
KK - great dad
Angad takes a good look at KK
A - more and more like Bhai every day
Angad smiles then looks around while Karan and KK smile
A - where's your mom?
KK - behind you
Angad lets go of his sons and turns around to find Kripa standing there, he goes forward and takes her in his arms and kisses her softly
K - welcome back
A - thank you....one moment
Angad lets her go then runs into the hall and picks up the flowers he had left there when entering the house. He comes back and hands them to her, she smiles and kisses his cheek
K - they're beautiful
A - like you
Angad winks at her and Kripa hits his arm playfully, Angad then turns to his guests and sees Prithvi and Sujal, he goes forward and embraces them both
S - now you can join us in the business
A - haha Sujal....I missed you guys
P - we missed you too
A - where's Kashish and Suhana?
Prithvi and Sujal move and reveal Kashish and Suhana, Angad goes forward and hugs them both and places kisses on their cheeks, he then steps back and reaches into his jacket and pulls out two red roses and hands them to Kashish and Suhana
Su - you remembered?
A - how could I forget you both pestered me saying I always buy flowers for Kripa whenever I return and nothing for you...now you have no reason to complain
Ka - good
Angad smiles
A - where's the kids?
Ar - here uncle
Angad turns around to face Aryan, he holds him by his shoulders and takes a good look at him
A - you've been working out
Ar - yep, I took your advice and made dad convert the spare room into a private gym
A - that's my boy
Sujal comes and nudges Angad
S - that was your idea? you know how much that cost me?
A - yeah yeah whatever, no price when it comes to kids
Angad hugs Aryan and notices Roshni over his shoulder, he steps back and pulls out another rose from his jacket and strides over to Roshni
A - a rose for my rose
R - thank you kind gentleman
Roshni takes the rose from him and Angad puts his arm around her shoulder and kisses her forehead affectionately as she hugs him
R - did you bring my gift?
Angad frowns at her
A - I looked so hard in all of Europe but I couldn't find a replica of myself
Roshni giggles as Angad kisses her cheek
A - I have your gift and you will get it when this party is over
?? - and what about ours?
Angad lets go of Roshni and turns to find Ria and Tia beaming at him, Angad smiles and pulls them both into a hug then kisses their foreheads and hands them both roses, the girls look at him
Ri - I never asked for this
A - you might be the most beautiful girl in the world but you're not the most brightest
T - I agree chachu
A - that's not your gift Ria, its just a rose for you. You both will get your gifts later
Both frown and Angad begins to cheer them up while Prithvi and Sujal watch
S - who would guess that he only had 2 sons
P - sometimes its as if all of them are his
S - yeah they love him...he's their cool uncle
P - and we're boring?
KK - of course not chachu
KK comes and puts his arms around both of them
KK - see dad is fun when he comes back from his tours and you guys are fun all the time
Sujal and Prithvi look at KK and he frowns
KK - what? I'm being nice!
S - yeah....usually when you're nice, you want something
KK - ok, I'm caught.....but chachu, you see Mehra uncle there
P - yeah
KK - his daughter is hot.....and I was hoping I could get her alone to get her number but her dad won't budge from her
Prithvi and Sujal glance from Mr Mehra to his daughter to KK then to Angad
P - ok we'll see what we can do
KK - thanks chachu
KK rushes off as he sees Angad heading towards Prithvi and Sujal
A - what did he want?
S - nothing
P - are the kids bothering you?
A - no way
Angad gossips with them then notices Neev and his wife Prachi. Angad excuses himself and goes over to them both and hugs them
A - where are the little ones?
N - somewhere making a mess
A - kids will be kids
Angad had never told KK or Karan that Neev wasn't his real brother but only his half because both Karan and KK seemed to get on so well with Neev so both decided to keep their fathers past where it belonged, in the past and no one else mentioned it either. Angad talks to them both then stops when he hears KK on the mic
KK - good evening everyone, as you know I am KK, Angad Khanna's son and you all know we're here because dad is retiring, so before I continue this boring speech, dad can you come on to the stage?
Angad shakes his head then walks to the stage and takes he mic from KK and KK goes and stands by Aryan and Karan
A - why thank you for the lovely speech KK
The guests laugh and Angad smiles
A - thank you all for coming and taking part in our happiness, I've never told anyone this before but I never wanted to sing, the only reason I am where I am is because of my brother
The guests glance at Neev but the others know Angad is talking about Kunal, and nod their heads slowly
A - no not Neev....but my older brother Kunal who is not with us today, if it hadn't have been for him, I would never have become the singer I am today, so I owe most of my success to him
The guests give a warm applause, Angad smiles and waits for them to finish
A - and the rest of my success goes to my family and friends, my wife Kripa for loving me and giving me the support I always needed
Kripa smiles
A - my kids Karan and KK for being my biggest fans
KK and Karn nod their heads
A - my best friends for being there when I've needed them and their kids for letting me be a kid again
The kids smile
A - and lastly my parents, for making me the person I am today, dad, I know we haven't been close but I'm happy to know I have you in my life
KK and Karan frown, both had tried their very best to persuade Suyesh to come to the party but apparently he had other engagements
A - and mom..I know where ever you are, you're looking down at me and blessing me all the time
Angad frowns and glances at the photo of his mom, Naina, with a garland of flowers on it. He sighs
A - I love you mom
A tear slips down from his eyes and Angad wipes it and gives a small smile
A - sorry for making this too depressing, but once again, thank you for coming
Angad hastily shoves the mic into the DJ's hands and rushes off the stage, he stands to one side and Kripa comes and he hugs her, she conforts him and he smiles then kisses her cheeks and gets back to the party as KK goes back on stage
KK - so guys, a toast to my dad, Angad Khanna
The guests all shouts "cheers" while raising their glasses of champagne
KK - and now a tribute to one of the worlds best singers
Angad looks shocked, he glances at Kripa who merely grins as the lights dim, Angad laughs seeing Karan standing on the stage dressed as Angad did on his first stage performance, then laughs further as he hears the first song he ever performed on stage, Har Manzar, and sees Karan miming and dancing to it.

As the song finishes Karan gives a small bow and jumps off stage and Aryan comes on
Ar - glad you enjoyed that little sketch, but now we would like Angad uncle to come to the stage and give a little performance.....and let us all see how lonely the music world will be without him
Angad smiles then goes to the stage while giving Aryan a small hug on the way, he then takes the microphone and the guitar from KK and looks at Kripa wondering what to sing, he then closes his eyes and recalls all the times they spent together and starts to play the guitar and sings Iss Pyaar Ko Main Kya Naam Doon

Kripa blushes and KK and Karan hug her and push her on to the stage, Angad catches her after putting the guitar down and pulls her towards him and begins to dance with her then realises everyone is watching and blushes and pulls away from her, Kripa runs off stage to Kashish and Suhana

Kashish and Suhana dance aand pull Kashish onto the stage to dance aswell. Soon all the kids join and dance around as Angad continues to sing

The guests applaud Angad's performance, he and the rest of the kids give a small bow then go off stage. Several hours later, the party has finished and the guests have left, all remain are Prithvi's family, Sujal's family and Neev's family who are gathered with Angad's family in Angad and Kripa's bedroom where Angad is standing by the bed along side the adults as the kids all sit on the bed screaming for their presents. Angad begins to open the first suitcase and the kids go quiet in anticipation
A - ok first present is....for Kripa
The kids groan while Angad smiles and hands Kripa three bags, the kids gasp
KK - dad...three bags all for mom
A - yeah why, have a problem?
KK - no no....no problem at all
Kripa looks in the bags and finds clothes and jewellery and some things for the house, she gives Angad a kiss on his cheek making the kids go "oooo" she blushes and looks at them sternly then steps aside as Angad pulls out another bag, he peeks inside
A - this is for K....K.....
Karan and KK look eager and Angad grins
A - Kashish
Both frown as Angad hands the present to Kashish, she takes it and opens to find a red and gold saree
A - took me forever...but I found it, its the exact replica of the one you showed me
Ka - thanks Angad
He smiles and pulls out another bag which he peeks inside again
A - this is for...Suhana
Suhana takes the bag and looks inside and finds some jewellery sets and a receipe book
Su - glad to know you have a good memory Angad
A - thank you, now at least I know when I come to your house, I'll have some lovely food
P - why? is her food not lovely all the time?
Angad grins at Prithvi's glare, then quickly pulls out another bag, looks inside and shoves it in Prithvi's face
A - your present
P - why thanks, what was the need?
KK - if you don't want it, I'll have it
P - KK
KK - sorry
Prithvi looks inside and pulls out a designer suit
S - wow flashy
Angad grins and puts a bag in his hands
A - you have the same, but a different colour
S - thanks
A - yeah, I got one for myself too, have you seen the cuff links, and the collar, its fabulous....
Kar - err dad....
A - huh? oh yeah
Angad pulls out two bags and glances at Karan and KK who again look eager, Angad steps towards them but at the last minute changes his direction and faces Neev and Prachi
A - for you
Pr - bhaiya what was the need?
A - come on Prachi, you're a member of this family aswell. Now there's some clothes in there for the little kids as well as some for both of you, and Neev I got you that gift you asked for...remember
N - thanks bhaiya
Neev leans forward and whispers in Angad's ear
N - the exact diamond necklace?
A - yes...don't let Prachi know, I was the one who bought it and not you when you give it to her on her birthday...
N - bhaiya, you truly are the best
Angad grins then turns around to find KK trying to peek into the bag, Angad smacks his hand and KK takes it back, Angad pulls out two bags and hands one to Aryan
A - Aryan, I couldn't find the shirt you asked for so I got you two others, oh and a membership with the local gym in Delhi for when you're out on business
Ar - thanks uncle
A - and Roshni, I wasn't sure what to get you, but then I saw this
Angad pulls out a painting of the horizon, Roshni gasps
R - uncle its beautiful
Ri - but its the sky
R - shut up Ria.....thanks a lot uncle
Angad hands it to Roshni and she kisses his cheek. Angad then pulls out one more bag and hands it to Ria
A - The latest in designer fashion from Paris
Ri - wow! thanks chachu
T - where's mine?
A - wait here
Angad leaves the room with Prithvi then comes back holding a guitar case with Prithvi holding a big box, Angad opens the case to reveal an electric guitar
T - OH MY GOSH! chachu its.....its brilliant!!!
A - yeah, its mine
T - huh?
Tia frowns while Angad laughs
A - it was the first guitar I ever used....now its yours
T - oh thank you chachu
Tia hugs him tightly then kisses his cheek then looks at the box
T - what's in there?
P - I was wondering that myself
A - something for you to do Prithvi's head in
Angad opens the box to reveal an amplifier, Prithvi's eyes open wide, he looks at Suhana then at Tia who is beaming with happiness
P - Angad, this girl makes more noise than anyone in the house, this is not the best of presents
A - shut up dude....I know that, which is why I'm keeping it here
T - huh? why?
A - so that whenever you come here, you can play it in my sound proof room
T - great! all the more reason to come here now
Angad grins then looks at his two sons who look grumpy that they haven't got their presents, Angad smiles and opens another suitcase and pulls out a bag and gives it to KK who grins, then frowns
KK - books?
A - oh wrong one
Angad pulls that off him and gives it to Karan who grins and begins to look at them intrigued. Angad pulls out the last bag and hands it to KK who opens the bag and finds a box, he opens the box and finds a slim book
KK - dad.....erm...what the heck is this?
A - its a scrap book for you
KK - a scrap book? Tia gets a guitar and an amplifier, Aryan gets designer shirts, mom gets jewellery and clothes...Karan gets books....and I get a scrap book?
A - open it you moron
KK opens the scrap book and grins, inside are photographs of him when he was younger with captions, he flicks through the pages and finds little things he thought Angad had thrown away like his first drawings and other things, Angad then smiles and takes out another and gives it to Karan who also smiles. KK frowns
KK - he gets one too? man .....
Angad grins at Kripa who shakes her head
K - Angad stop torturing him and give him his real present
A - please, a little longer
K - no!
KK - thanks mom....now my real present?
A - come on then
Angad pulls KK up and takes him out of the room, slowly everyone follows looking confused. Angad takes him downstairs into the garage
KK - wow you bought me a garage.....how lovely...
A - you're a bigger moron than I thought son
Angad switches on the light to reveal a Yamaha motorbike, KK's mouth falls open and Angad grins as the rest look shocked
Kar - you bought him a motorbike? dad are you insane...
Kripa glares at Karan
Kar - no offence....I get books and he gets a motorbike
Angad shakes his head and takes out some keys, he hands KK the keys to the motorbike, KK grins and glances at Kripa eagerly
K - ...no

KK - I'll do the washing up for a week

KK kisses her cheek and gets on the motorbike, Angad hands him a hemlet and KK puts it on, Kripa opens the garage door and KK puts the key in the bike and turns it.....only it doesn't start, KK pulls the helmet off and glares at Angad
A - yeah I forgot.....it needs a little work
KK then looks at Kripa
KK - mom....you knew.....you are a cruel cruel mother
K - who doesn't have to wash up for a month
KK gets off the bike and puts the helmet down and storms off inside, Karan looks at Angad and Angad hands him some keys, Karan looks confused
A - look outside
Karan looks outside and finds a new car, Karan grins
A - don't tell KK, not yet....
Karan goes into the car to start the engine but that also doesn't start, Karan glares at Angad
A - what? I need a way to keep you both busy
Everyone else laughs while Karan locks the car, scowls and goes inside. Everyone leaves and Angad goes inside with Kripa in his arms
K - Angad put me down
A - I will....when we get to our room
K - the boys might see
A - not likely, they're both sulking in their room
Angad heads upstairs as Kripa giggles
coming up - First day of college for the kids
Boy this part took me all of today because I was so busy. Anyways, hope you like the part, and again 10 comments or more for the next one😛
