If the reserved-for-request spots stay reserved even after I'm done making all other requests, I'd give those spots to next member in line who is willing to request and is ready with it. Looks like some of the requests are along the lines of a mainstream merge; simple merging is the last option I'd opt for. If you're hoping for that, you better as well hope I don't get satisfactory outcome through other means. Shall start working on them tonight, hopefully.
