Horizonwa, am a lover of the tauliya shauliya isstuff myself😆...woh jo ek hi sthaan par isstanding and jumping kiya Khushi ne, with eyes tight shut and madamji fully clothed...i love it and love it. Predecessor to humaar caakroachwa indeed 😆
The poolsidewa, you and i have chatted about the curls before😆...like i yabbered on eons ago, i find the curls and that cute little clip very becoming on her...willingly suspendiya disbelief, of course, at the plushness of outfit and a hairdo that would've taken hours to put together and certainly not the isstuff of local parlour sharlour. But she needed to look special there, and she did. (And oh my god how fab did he look!! No disbelief there.)
I see your point about her unexpectedly expressing such heartbreak at her broken engagement..and i just read what Indus has said about significance of faith and trust in a self-respecting middle class set-up, and her possibly being upset on account of her family and their emotions...i agree with that too. But here's my thing, and believe me when i say that cos i do know this... it's a complicated sentiment, somewhat "burdened by tradition", this one.. A broken rishta penetrates your insides in unimaginable and unpredictable ways. In the back of your head you may have a soft but sure voice echoing that this was never meant to be, what's happened is for the best. You may not even be madly in love with the guy. It still slowly treks its way into your sense of self, and to your heart. As girls in this country, and certainly in others too, we grow up with notions of marriage that go deeper than one's own beliefs and worldview. When the time comes, i think it seizes all of us. And once the heart is opened up to possibilities and wishes and desires one didn't even know one had... something happens when it's called off (even if you called it off yourself or "wanted it to happen", like you say for Khushi). And the realisation and hurt of it can be entirely immediate, though that's probably rare... it's more likely to surface in a fit, mixed up with another emotion. I'd like to believe it's the latter in Khushi's case.
Sure, in the scene, it's not so brilliantly done. It seems manufactured to make the Raizada aware of her being single again...and to sneakily steer the conversation away from Lavanya-ASR and back to Arnav-Khushi.
But i will not deny that i still end up engrossed and re-engrossed in the moment, and keep losing track of the whys and the hows...i feel a great sense of unburdening and of caring in the scene.
Helloo my ocean of blasters, how deep can we go?
uff love the convos i find myself coming to when i do make it her on occation...then i want to kick myself for not being able to come her 😭
anyway peechhe se shuri karti hun 😉
Hello MerI IssKiya!! how are you ? mmmwaaas! thanks for the insight into what Khushi may be feeling. how rt you are, in desi families the ristas are more b/cw families than the two ppl. and yes Khushi mentions how he betrayed her but felt more emphasis on how he betrayed her family. and after Payals wedding that didn't take place, how devastating for the elders rishtas broke off forn not just one girl but two. as daughters we inherently IMO feel so much for our parents. So for sure its complicated feeling for Khushi...esp when the Akdoo Singh Laad Gov. kept her on a rollarcaoster and sent her mixed signals. She knew she fell for him but after Diwali he made it clear that she was nothing to him...ugh! poor girl! no wonder her thought turn into Jilebis and then she craves them!
that who poolside "fight" is one of the best scenes on many levels, my girl crush on Sanaya deepened with the Curls...she looked hot! I swear i saw ASR doing cartwheels to Rabba Ve when he opened his bedroom door to find this beauty with a present...he obviously couldn't keep his eye off of her during the dance.
back to the poolside...love it for the fact that he pulled her out there because he didn't like her looking at him like he was some monster who did this to La, what she thought mattered...enough to grab her by the hand and try to tell her with out really telling her because then he would have to confess his feelingsl... thankfully for him it didn't come to that b/c she told him about the broken rishta...and my most favorite part of this is that teeny weeeny smile on his face, ever so slightly on his lips but mostly in his eyes, as he learns she is single again.
Indu, that next day i remember you had pointed that out, he says "ghar"...how very haq-ful of him. it has always been 'ghar' where she belongs. LOVE IT! I now noticed he said it like that a bunch of times, thanks for make one small word so special, i think of you harbar!
In Di ji...what did you hv to go and whatch this and then write about it to bring back such uffness..its only morning here in the states and you have me thinking..dangerous you know?
Both sarun are brilliant that next morning. that morning felt like a fresh start. Sanaya was too cute bringing Khushi's full on. she def was working him! Khushi bitiya no all as innocent as she looks LOL! her true heart is certain reveale once they are back at the RM and she freezes when she knows he is going somewhere...till he puts her heart as ease "Di, I have a meeting, I'll be back in a bit" ...awww what a touching sexy scene that it :)
told ya so dangerous to get me started in the morning...that too at work. gotta go! sorry for typos!
