What a brilliant chapter. Fragments and vignettes of Ayan's life. The back story that everyone was assuming and presuming. No more ambiguity, finally Ayan has his outline filled up. What was just a sketch is now a full fledged drawing with colors and emotions. Excellent writing. Rashid has been given a new dimension, when seen from Ayan's POV. This part is really well done. This was very poorly handled in the show and I am glad that that there is a story that has finally done justice to their characters.

Ayan's vulnerability as he realizes his love for Humeira is endearing. The wooing part comes naturally to him, his charm has been honed and practiced, the falling in love part is the surprise that he is unprepared for. His hesitance, just that little bit, before his self assurance takes over is fantastic. Once he knows, there is no doubt, he is confident and sure. Humeira is shy, yet taken by the frankness (no pun intended 😉) of Ayan. It must have been hard to open up and accept this relationship for her, and yet she did it.

Razia is finally given details too. Manipulative to a fault, trying to exert control of lives while her own is controlled by another.

The subsequent showdown between Raz, Ayan and Humiera was bound to happen. I can see that Ayan has realized that somethings cannot be achieved by going the straight forward way, he has adopted measures to about in a unscrupulous way, as long as he is able to retain his love. Like someone said all is fair in love and war, and Ayan has taken this to his heart.

I really enjoyed reading Ayan's POV. 👍🏼 Well done indeed. 👏 Finally these characters have been given their due as it should be in a complete QH story.

PS: The last part, Frank is begrudged his behavior in book as Austen did not shed a detailed back story on him, and yes he used all sorts of twisted ways to get his way to Jane, which was intended as a shabby part of his pursuit.

As for Willoughby, I think the way Austen wrote him earns him sympathy more than it does for Frank. His deceit seems to have an tinge of regret to it. So does Frank's but it seems that Frank takes it much more casually. Not sure if I was able to get this point across as I wanted to. Never mind. 😕
