So today they finally showed us the "Dramatic" episode, the SetIndia people have been harping on about for quite a while now😃. The episode was so-so, with some, two to be exact, good scenes between a-k and Krips baby displaying heroism and her sad lack of gray matter in equal proportion.😛
But. The episode started off with obviously the recap of the previous one and what should we be shown but the by now famous Rickshaw wala scene. God. The action coordinator of this serial I'm sure is in a state of hiding by now. Anyways, had a good laugh over it yet again.😆😆😆
So the episode started off with lady in blue's car coming to a halt and on further inspection it was found that the tire had sprouted a puncture. I can actually relate to that, when you are truly in a hurry, it often seems as if the entire universe is conspiring to hold you up😕. Anyways, the kind lady told Kripa not to worry since the auditorium was really close by and she could get there on foot. A frantic Kripa thanked her and set off and btw, did my ears deceive me or did the lady say, "It's no problem…Rupa!!!!!!!"😕😕😕
Cut to Kripa running towards the auditorium while a montage of quick images of Angad leaving for the concert played in front of her eyes. Cut to scenes of screaming adoring fans screaming themselves hoarse inter-cut with flashes of Angad walking onto the stage.
Angad slowly walks onto the stage waving at the fans while poor Kripa was stuck somewhere in the middle of the closely packed crowd, screaming at him to stop. The local goons headed by our densely mustachioed Khushwant Singh Rana also decided to grace the concert with their menacing presence and were situated somewhere at the back of the hall. Hello??? Security. I don't know about small towns but generally if doubtful looking people waving sticks and God knows what not, dressed in outlandish attire show up for a rock concert and then display themselves so prominently, the security people really don't consider it a very good sign. Oh well, who am I to say anything about what goes on in Ekta-land!!!
Angad, thank God, took his time, waving to all and sundry and by the time he finally touched the mike, Kripa had worked her way closer to the stage. He started to sing but stopped when he realized the mike wasn't working and suddenly we saw Kripa come hurtling onto the stage and Prithvi (sigh! Who else???) shouting, "KripAH!!!!!"
The drama intensified when they showed the head goon about to press the button to detonate the bomb and Kripa racing towards the bomb and in the end, I think Kripa pushed Angad off the stage (hehe! I'm still trying to figure that one out. Must have been some adrenaline rush to enable her to budge, let alone PUSH OFF the stage our rock solid Angoo baby!!!!!😳) And the bomb blew up at roughly the same time.
Pictures of carnage followed, with the poor fans being the victims of this senseless violence. People falling to the ground, a security guy catching fire while trying to help a girl, beams and pillars falling on top of the people who were scrambling to get out. All in all, all hell broke loose in the auditorium.🤢
Kripa went up to a guy laying facedown on the floor and very hesitantly and fearfully turned him over. I, thank God, had already figured out that it wasn't Angad since this, well, body, was dressed in a red t-shirt under his jacket, while Angad had been wearing a green Ralph Lauren tee under his trademark concert jacket.
Poor traumatized Kripa covered her face with her hands (btw, good acting by Kripa here) and then came the best scene of the day. We see a pair of hands reaching out to uncover her face and then we see (Surprise! Surprise!) that it's Angad. And Kripa flings herself into his arms and a trademark a-k hug follows. I'm telling you, I can never get enough of these hugs. Kripa totally enveloped in Angad's embrace and both of them lost in a world of their own. Sighhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Complete meltdown moment.😳😳😳
And Prithvi as usual was in the background, looking on!!!!!!!!! I actually feel sorry for him at times. I mean, of course you hate him for being the one who's going to split apart a-k but the poor guy had a rough deal after all. Too bad he had to turn evil instead of dealing with it and moving on. Plus, it's his own fault. Kripa has been telling him since the first day that he was ONLY her friend. He set himself up for all the heartbreak he's suffered. Okay, Prithvi fans, I'll run to take cover now!!!)
Second set opens in a hotel room with Prithvi (sigh!!! I repeat, who else?) telling Angad that it's not safe for them over here and that he would make arrangements to go back to Mumbai straightaway. Then he turns to leave and asks Simone to come along (btw, I have yet to figure out what she's doing there?????) leaving Angad and Kripa alone together. Angad goes and sits besides Kripa (sigh!!!!!!!!!!! Ok. Ok. Moving on) and asks her how come she knew about the proposed blast in the first place and Kripa taking her courage in her hands, says I think that whoever got us implicated in the MMS scandal is also the one behind all of this and I think that it's…………Josh! (No surprises here.)
However Angad wasn't taking any of this crap about his best friend and became pretty enraged, snarling at Kripa, " I thought we were done with this." refused to hear anything against Josh and totally disregarded Kripa's alleged incriminating evidence, the cyber caf receipt, repudiating her request of checking out this lead, saying that doing so would imply that he didn't trust his friend. And saying so, he stormed out of the room in a black rage. What a true friend. Kripa let this be lesson for you in trust issues, don't jump to all the wrong conclusions at the slightest excuse.
However Kripa, proving correct Tania's claim that falling out of Rickshaw's had effected her ability to think rationally😉, was undeterred by Angad's heartfelt siding with his friend, and under the disguise (?) of a black shawl, which really, I cannot make out why she even bothered with in the first place, sneaked out of the hotel to investigate on her own.
Advise for Kripa, if you are going on a skulking expedition, don't wear shocking pink and orange, it really doesn't gel too well with the surroundings.😃
Out on the streets, the hooligans were creating a furor, which Krips baby manages to avoid and makes her way to the supposed hotbed of shady dealings, the by now famous, Cyber caf.
Meanwhile, a by now contrite Angad comes to Kripa's room to apologize for screaming at her, but grows increasingly frantic when he's unable to find her anywhere. He rushes down to the reception to inquire about Kripa and is joined by, Sigh! Yet again Prithvi. The receptionist suddenly remembers Kripa enquiring about the cyber caf and Angad, poor guy, has to face the fact that Kripa probably has ventured out to the place, throwing all sense to the winds. Loved his downright defeated slash exasperated gesture, when he plops down his head on his fist for a minute on hearing it.
He appears in a quandary as to what to do until the receptionist helpfully mentions that a police jeep is parked outside that might be able to help. And our hero, strides out purposefully to rescue his damsel in distress.
The third set opens with Kripa finally arriving at the cyber caf only to find it locked, not that it's a deterrent for our ever-resourceful Kripa, because she simply picks up a rock from the street and hammers away at the lock till it breaks open. Is it just me or was Kripa displaying superhuman strength throughout the episode?!?!?!?!? 😕
Anyways, after breaking and entering, she sets to work, trying to uncover evidence against Josh and boy oh boy, does she strike gold or what. Because while searching through the CD's, she finds one labeled, Josh's JPEG Files and on playing it on the computer, she finds it full of her and Angad's pictures. And to seal completely in her mind the conviction that it's Josh, she also finds a red ADIDAS water bottle that she remembers seeing Josh with.
Sigh! It is obvious that this supposed "Evidence" is all planted. But hey, who's listening to me? It's Kripa's faulty reasoning all the way.
Collecting all this evidence, she goes back but is caught in the midst of the rioters. She manages to shake them off for a while by hiding behind a tree and then goes to a phone booth but is spotted and the phone booth is shown surrounded by the protesters. But at that moment, a police jeep roars up, dispersing the rioters, and taking advantage of this, she flees, hiding in large concrete pipe.
Cut to Angad pacing in a police station, going frantic with worry, when Kripa also arrives there. Seeing her, he asks in the sweetest possible manner, "Tum kahan chali gayi thi, Kripa. Meh kitna parishaan huwa!" Awwwwwwwwww!!! Shame on you, Kripa, for worrying the poor dear like this.
And then another killer a-k scene followed. However, Kripa was not to be swayed by this demonstration of utmost concern on her behalf and asks Angad that if you trust me, I have some evidence to show you that will convince you beyond a shadow of a doubt that it was Josh. And next up we see Kripa talking (actually you could only hear music) and Angad listening and apparently being convinced of it too, if the horrendous music and the screen going black and white and finally freezing on his face was any indicator.
Preview: Angad telling Kripa, "meh hamesha tumharay saath rahoon ga. Agar chot lagti hai tou pehlay mujhey lagey gi." I've said it before; I'll say it again. Shweeeeeeeet!!!!!!!🤗
Angad then tells Kripa that they ought to leave for the airport when the idiotic police inspector displaying the most faulty logic, I've ever witnessed went like, oh it wont be safe for you to go right now, I'll escort you there with a police guard in the morning. I mean like, hellooooooooooooo???????? Why can't they go now? Why can't you escort them now? Why further endanger their lives by asking to stay on longer in the riot torn place? Ugh! Everybody in Ekta's soaps are very deficient in gray matter apparently.
Sigh! So it's time for Josh bashing now. Since I'm guessing this was what the promo with Angad going all, "meh Josh ko nahin chodo ga!!!" was all about. While the real perpetrator sits backs and has a lovely time watching this latest series of misunderstandings.
And I'm guessing too that there's going to be more trouble tomorrow at the airport according to the SetIndia preview.
Hmm! Wonder what's going to happen next. What do you guys say?????
Ye Gads!!! Look at the time. I'm supposed to be working on this super duper calculus assignment that's due this week and this is what I'm doing. Ok. I'm off now. Do tell me what you think is going to happen now?????
