Jeevika's alarm went on at 8:00 sharp. Though she was exhausted and a bit hung over from the party last night, she couldn't wait for today. Not only was it one day closer to Wedding Day, it was the day it would hit her that she was getting married... Today she would get Viren's name hidden somewhere on her hands giving and dedicating her life to him forever. Not wanting to wait a minute more, she got out of bed and into the shower. As soon as she came out she saw her outfit ready to go on the side. The soft yellow color was picked my none other than the groom himself. He loved this color on his bride. According to him it suited her personality the most ā¤ļø
Jeevika changed into the beautiful yellow anarkali suit and sat in front of her mirror. She looked at the floral jewelry sitting on the table wondering how she would put it on. She then heard a knock on the door and saw her mom and Manvi.
m - "Di you're clearly in a rush today aren't you?" š
j - "Manvi stop!!! Are you going to help me get ready or what? These are the last two days you will help me you know"
m - "Di stop please. Don't put it like that"
j - "But its true... I mean who knows if Viren will even let you come inside our house"
m - "Jiju would never do that to me at least, to you he may... but to me.. NEVER"
j - "Too much confidence Manvi"
m - "Ughh you're too much sometimes di. Now lets get you ready" she said happily.
Jeevika didn't want anyone to get her ready today, but her sister. She knew she would make her look stunning and perfect. Manvi started with her sister's makeup and worked her way to her hair. When all of that was done she added the finishing touched with the flowers made especially for this day.
m - "And there we go" she said adding the last of the flowers to Jeevika's hair. "You look pretty as ever"
j - "Thanks Manvi, now shall we go?"
m - "Let's" she said extending her hand out.
The two sisters held hands and walked out together. The house was empty and quite today as everyone had moved into the hotel. Luckily the venue of the mehndi was close to home and the sisters made it in no time. As they walked upstairs they saw a large sign saying the theme of the day - "Heer Ranjha" The letter were all made of roses and put together so beautifully. Jeevika entered inside the hall and saw her and Viren's immediate family there. She was hoping she could catch a glimpse of him before she would have to sit down and get her mehndi done. She looked for a while and then eventually gave Manvi a look. Manvi immediately knew what her sister was trying to hint at and went on to find Viren. Jeevika ws being told by everyone to sit on the swing adorned for her and start getting her mehndi done but she wanted to meet Viren once before. She sneakily told her mom she had to go to the bathroom and headed out. On her way out she luckily saw Manvi bringing Viren inside but the three of them stopped outside.
m - "Here's who you were looking for. Now I'll go back inside and you two come fast" she said leaving
Jeevika took Viren to the side where no one could see them and hugged Viren excitedly. They both just shared a quiet beautiful moment not saying anything till they both let go at the same time. Viren and Jeevika held hands and walked inside the hall together. Viren walked his bride over to the swing where there were four people about to start applying mehndi on Jeevika. He stood there for a few minutes with his love until guests started arriving and distracting him.
Jeevika was getting restless sitting for almost an hour now and still no where to be done. She looked around nodding and saying hello to people coming up to meet her. She now wished that at least the mehndi function should have been a small private family affair, but sadly it wasn't. Everytime she glanced at Viren and he made eye contact back coming towards her someone would take him away making her extremely angry. That plus she was on an empty-stomach and no one had bothered to come and bring her food. She realized there wasn't much she could do, so she continued sitting there and waiting for her mehndi to be applied fully. As soon as she was done and most of her hand and feet were dried she was able to walk around at last and pose with the guests, and all of her friends specially. Soon her friends all took her near the dance floor wanting to dance with the bride to be. She danced for a while having fun until she started feeling dizzy. She walked away to the side where she saw Manvi. But before she could even reach till Manvi Viren popped up shocking her a bit.
v - "Looking for me?"
j - "No!"
v - "Why the anger?"
j - "I've been sitting alone for two hours over there, hungry and thirsty and you don't have the decency to sit with me even"
v - "I wanted to sit but you know how it is. I'm sorry, lets go get you something to eat"
j - "No I'll tell Manvi"
v - "You're going to be mad at me ONE DAY before we get married?"
j - "Yes, any problem?"
v - "Very much, you're not allowed to be mad" š
j - "Fine I'm not mad. Can I go talk to my sister now, thanks"
v - "Not so fast. I'm hungry too. I've been waiting for you, you know?"
j - "Really?"
v - "Promise. I'll go get us something to eat quickly"
j - "Okay" she said smiling again.
Jeevika went to sit with her friends and soon enough Viren came. The girls all made room for him on their table allowing him to sit next to Jeevika. He fed her bite by bite and sip by sip finally attending to his bride. This is exactly what she wanted, being spoiled by Viren. As they continued eating, most people were getting ready to leave. Pretty much the immediate family of Viren and Jeevika were there in the hall getting ready for their big day tomorrow.
Jeevika and Viren were not sitting alone on the table.
j - "I'm so tired right now, I want to go home and sleep"
v - "You know you're not going home right, we're all staying at the hotel"
j - "Oh yeah, I forgot"
v - "Fifteen more hours, you ready to be married?"
j - "One hundred percent" she said smiling.
m - "Di you ready to go upstairs?"
v - "You're going to take my bride away from me?"
m - "Yes, she needs her beauty nap" š
v - She does look tired. Maybe I can drop her upstairs to her room"
m - "Do you know which room she is in?"
v - "I know her room, and I also have an extra key to her room" he said showing her
j - "WHAT! How did you get that?"
v - "I have my ways to get myself into the bridal suite"
m - "So clever, well then you can take your bride to her room. I'll see you later di. I need to go change and get a few things"
j - "Okay, Manvi"
Manvi left and Viren and Jeevika got up to go to their rooms also. Viren first accompanied Jeevika to her room. They couldn't hold hands but they could walk closely to each other. They reached the tenth floor and Viren opened the door allowing Jeevika in first. She stood in front of the door making it hard for Viren to come in.
v - "Why are you standing here? Let me in"
j - "Absolutely not. Go to your room"
v - "Jeevika this isn't fair"
j - "You have the key to my room, thats not fair either"
v - "Fine"
j - "So I'll see you tomorrow now I guess"
v - "Why tomorrow? We have all night, early morning... still plenty of time to accidentally come inside your room" š
j - "What if I'm not going to be in my room?"
v - "Where else will you be?" he said shocked
j - "You know... with my friends"
v - "impromptu Bachelorette party much?"
j - "Perhaps... one last night to have fun singleee"
v - "You know fiancee are supposed to crash into bachelorette parties towards the end"
j - "I've never heard of that, nor am I believing that"
v - "I'll find out about tonight don't worry" š "Now I'll go before someone comes"
Jeevika just smiled as he started drifting away, but he looked around at her and went to give her a small kiss before leaving for good! ā¤ļø
