Shlok was going through his files when he heard a knock on the door. Knowing who it can be, he uttered, "Come in" for the one to get in. As he guessed, it was Astha with a file on her hands. Astha was having her Resignation letter upon the file so that she can handover it to him. But, with trembling hands and tensed mind, she couldn't get any words to initialise the conversation.
Shlok (still looking into the file)- "I know the reason which made you come over here. You may keep the Resignation letter on my table and leave to your seat"
She was initially shocked that he knows why she has been there. Within a second, she covered her jolt and covered up saying, "Why Sh... I mean Sir? Why would I leave the job?"
Shlok-(Looked up) "It's because, you are afraid. You are afraid of working for me; of being with me. As a P.A. of mine, you have to spend more time with me and also, may end up travelling with me to some other places. That's why you are afraid and I know my guess is right."
What does he think of himself? As if every girl dies to spend time with him?' she thought in her mind. "I don't know about others, but, with you, it is true", replied Shlok getting up from his seat, as if he has heard her mind. Astha was left open-mouthed in astonishment. How does he end up in reading her mind always?'
Shlok moved towards her in slow steps making her move back till she hit the wall. Has he heard this too?' Not knowing what to do, she just closed her eyes. She could feel his breath near her neck. The gulp of air from him was making her gasp and she clinched her shawl tightly. Unconsciously, she was waiting for his next action.
"You may open your eyes" Listening to the voice, she opened her eyes to see Shlok two feet away from her grinning at her. Without wasting a second, she rushed towards the door. "You haven't finished the work for which you came here yet", he said. But, she was gone before that. He was laughing to himself thinking about her reactions.
Astha hurried to her place and threw the letter in the dustbin. She could still hear her loud heartbeat. Why does it happen every time when he is near me?' she self-thought.
Dear, he is up to something. He will never leave you. Now, what is brewing in his mind and how did he know what I was going to do? In what situation, you have struck yourself into Astha? You have to get out from here. What to do? Vishy uncle se poochun? No, he doesn't know anything and he will surely ask why I don't want to work with him. I can't say the reason for sure'
When she was thinking of ways to quit the job, peon entered her cabin with a file. "Ma'm, iss paper mein ek sign chaahiye aapki", he said and handed over her a file. Without looking into the file, she signed it at one and sent him off.
Thinking every possible way to escape from him, she was feeling defeated. Finally, giving up, she decided to witness what destiny will lead her in her life.
The peon entered Shlok's cabin and surrendered the file to him saying, "Sir, madam ne sign kar li"
"Teek hai. Ab aap jaa sakte hai. Kuch kaam hai toh mein aapko kehdoongi" he said and dispatched him. After that, he checked the file which had Astha's signature on it.
"Such a beautiful handwriting and an adorable girl. But, you are not so smart as Shlok Agnihotri. You will see it soon" he smiled seeing the file.
"Oh God, Astha! Why can't you just handover the letter to him and walk out of this office? It would be so good for you. But, after what he had done in the morning, how can I face him? Wait! He... Yeah! Was he trying to seduce me? How dare he? What does he think of himself? I will teach him a lesson"
Astha soared from her seat and took a few steps towards the door and that's when another thought struck in her mind. "Would it be a good decision to meet him?" Feeling not to go, she went back to her seat and sat with her hands on her head.
When she was thinking what to be done next, she heard a knock followed by Vishwanathan heading towards her. She stood silently facing towards him as he took a seat opposite to her. "How was the day, Astha?"
Astha- "As usual Sir. But, at the same time, quite different too"
Vishwanathan- "Good. So, you have met the new M.D. Haven't you?"
Astha- "Of course. I have met him and I think I got to know about him too"
Vishwanathan- "You want to give a presentation to him about our company. So, be in the meeting hall within 15 minutes"
Astha- Not again'. But, that was not what came from her mouth. "I will be ready for it soon Sir"
With that, her M.D. left the room and soon Astha prepared for the meeting and moved towards the hall where she has to give the presentation. On her way, she was making up her mind not to see Shlok or not even give a damn to him.

In the meeting hall, Astha started the presentation and was giving it wisely. She almost described every minute detail about the company, right from the day it commenced till now- its profit, loss, notable projects and new techniques, upcoming projects, each and everything. While giving the presentation, Astha was having eye-contact with each and everywhere but, not with one person- Shlok.
On the other hand, Shlok was quite impressed with the presentation, or to be clearer, by her. He was observing her keenly- her looks, her expressions, her eyes, her way of speaking, everything. He found her interesting with each passing second. But, there was one thing which irritated him the most. She was giving her precious smile and was seeing every tom, dick and harry in the room- even the walls and the wall clock, but not him. That was making him more frustrated. "I will soon get to know why you are behaving like a goat facing a lion, Miss. Kirloskar" He thought.
After the presentation was over, Astha was asked to join both (Vishwanathan and Shlok) in their cabin. Nervously, she went to them. There, both were seated in their place. It was her uncle who greeted her first. But, she was just staring at Shlok who was trying to get some information from her eyes. After sometime, Vishwanathan left the room interrupted by a phone call, leaving the two alone. An unknown fear summed up within her heart whereas Shlok looked calm as usual.
Shlok- "Well-done, Miss Kirloskar. I can see the hard work in your presentation and I am really happy to have such an efficient employer beside me. Hope you will always be with me in my tough times, I mean, in the office"
Shocked by his last line, Astha was startled a bit, but then cooled down after hearing office'. "That's my duty Sir. If you permit, can I take a leave?"
Shlok- "Sure. Will call you in need of something." After ensuring that Astha left, he ordered the peon to bring the profile of Astha. I hope I can get something from that' thought he.

"Wow Asthu! You did exactly what you have to do. Now, it will be easy for you to handle him everyday- the same way. Be as if you don't know that such a person ever exist in the office. You may not be without meeting him. But, treat him only as a boss. Samji tum?" Astha was talking to herself. She was now determined to be in the job and to handle Shlok with care. But, deep inside her heart, she knows that it was due to her love for him to at least be near him just to watch him from a distance.
