Indi di what a cute and intelligently made vm.. the curly lock straight hair on one side look did look ancient.. haha.. actually all the sequences are selected perfect;y.. only flaw.. the kiss on the cheek needed flowers to hide the actual deed... hehe...

And roop tera mastana.. Sohara shared a scintillating vm but I think the more the merrier.. are you making one? I have to keep a bucket full of ice ready in that case.. And I liked all the songs you listed.. such nice melody.. and you know what I was thinking the other day? how the old songs are easier to hum than the songs from now.

I can almost guess the songs you haven't heard...but I couldn't help some of them just for my individual love for the songs like Toote hue Khwab from Madhumati and Rasik balma from chori chori.
It took quite long to edit individual pieces, being my first one I am sure I took the longest circuitous route possible to do this stuff. Was only keen on the end result..:)
Had a great time editing that initial car fight and that all flames kitchen fight of Payash wedding.. those were our stone engraved asr and khushi at their best..

You are right, there is something universally encompassing abut that first fall.. but I couldn't include teri meri.. I racked my head from the 40s to the 70s but couldn't think of a song that would even partially fit the poignancy of that moment.. sacchi me...

you mentioned that "ab kya bolun" scene to indi di.. the comic timing, actually just the understanding of humor was perfect in IPK.. even the fights and the dhak dhaks.. humaare naam mein bhi a hain.. another one of my favourites..

Since we are listing favourties from old songs I like this one too... ye raat bheegi bheegi ye mast fizae utha dheere dheere wo chand pyaara pyaara..

I racked my brains for a song for teri meri and then went and made this.. kept all the scenes as is and added in the song and changed the color hahaha... what do you think?

by the way, I love these lines of the song ..

Thanks for making this vm rhea. Awesome idea pyar kiya tho darn a kya...dar and our fav couple are always miles apart.. Such big time doers both of them...

If the specific lines you mentioned..

Ye rath bheegi bheegi is evergreen, Shankar Jaikishan's guitar bits are very special and intoxicating..

Remember rath ke humsafar, it's first 1/2 min.. Not Hotel California.. But almost there.. Just love it..

My first attempt at vm making. Started out as a thought to mix together couple of old songs for Chalhov's birthday. Could n't make it on time..couple more songs added. Finally bits from different phases of the story were taken to give it a completion.. rather how I felt.. Few rough edges, hope it is enjoyable nevertheless..

The concept is so beautiful yet simple that i am wondering why i did not think of it.

But i guess only you can come up with something so elegant.

This is one vm i can watch time and again.

Baap re, so much bak bak in a day after a long time. Thanks to Indu, I see the Vividh Bharati is constantly playing here. 😊 So many songs being mentioned, I've become nostalgic. Lots of vms too, will watch as soon as I get time.

Rhea, is that your latest vm?

Kizh, Rangoli, I still watch it. It's been more than 20 years since it started, but whenever I can, I do put it on. One hour of pure bliss. Best way to start the Sunday morning.

Sohara, as Indi said, that's Vinod Mehra in the song with Rekha. Good, decent actor, did many movies, but don't think he experimented much with the variety. Uncle, haha, perhaps, but he is much better looking compared to many others in regional movies. 😆 Ghar has many beautiful superhit songs, a music direction RD Burman. Tere bina jeeya jaaye na, Aaj kal paun zameen par nahin padte mere, Aapki aankhon mein kuch are the ones which I like the most.

Indu, now that you are getting ideas and pharmaish from all sides, I think you should start working on Part 2 of the vm. Take your time. I will wait for the feast. 😉

Thats a good one R! Jab pyaar kiya to darna kya...yet that is all they did over and over again! In that sense this coming forth of Asr was a watershed in the story

rhea, yet to see the vm... but just a couple of hours back showed pyaar kiya toh to the daughter... she most bored, me enthralled. daughter will wear an anarkali at a wedding, wanted to show her where it all comes from.

beauty of the song is its grace... sung without a single strident note, danced in similar vein but challenges the mughal and the world all the way. could have been a drama screamy number... wasn't. hayee and hayee. madhubala uff.

To tell you frankly I wasn't sure how this segment would fit the song, but it was sublime! Great work.

Durga, rangoli is still on air? That's so good to hear, that some things haven't changed! And I love aapki aankhon mein kuch. Somebody please make a vm. Or maybe Indu can include it in her next one.

All the talk about old songs is making me very nostalgic. Remember going off to sleep as a child, listening to mukesh and talat mehmood, favorites of my dad's. Apparently my maternal grandfather loved talat mehmood too, and had planned to attend a concert of his scheduled to happen in my mom's home town, along with my dad and my uncle. But he passed away couple of months before that. My dad and uncle who went for the concert talks about how poignant it was to listen to his favorite songs being sung. Chapters in one's life!

I've embarked on a major academic journey and should be focusing on other things, but it is difficult to stay away from here, dammit!

On the reruns, the man is trying to romance his biwi. And Anjali says tumhe pyaar hua he chottey, as if that's a crime?!!! I went what the..., am I missing something for the what the h does she mean by that? That bro-sis convo sort of didn't sit well with me.
