Rakhi anger at mobile video louts
Rakhi Sawant's boyfriend caught two men trying to video the item girl as she was changing.
Abhishek Awasthi said "I saw the two outside her room, shooting with their phones." Awasthi says he got Rakhi's bodyguards together and had the two men, Rafiq Ali and Sachin Kumar, chucked out. The two had come with their families and were asked to leave the show. The wife of one of the two came up to Rakhi to apologise after this. We are puzzled: if they wanted to see Rakhi undress, couldn't they have just bought a ticket to one of her movies?
Alphabet 'A' to rule this Friday
Three films Apne, Awaarapan and Aap Ka Suroor hit the screens this Friday. Though these films are very different from each other - being about a boxer, a vagabond and a singer -- there is one thing common amongst them, the letter A. After all that drama of Himesh wanting the Deols to postpone their film and the hype created about Emraan's new look in his film; well, it's now all in the hands of the audience. Let's see for whom the letter turns out to be lucky!
Farah Khan does not want to talk about Dance
Farah Khan does not want to talk about dancing moves anymore. When we asked her to comment on some dance styles in Bollywood she said, "I have stopped giving quotes on dancing moves and dancing in Bollyood." We think it's nice to have this breezy outlook on life: that she's
clear about being a director and not a choreographer anymore. But we think she still needs to figure out how to make the audiences dance to her tunes.
Mimoh's first name terms with daddy
When we learnt about Mithun doing an album with Asha Bhonsle, we called up to congratulate him. Son Mimoh picked up the phone so we said hello and asked to speak to dad. We were a little taken back to hear him shout: "Mithun!" as he called out for his father. We're liberal and all but we draw the line at bachchas calling daddy by their first name. Actually, we were shocked but not surprised because we've seen this before, at Santa Cruz airport when Mithun's daughter, then only seven or eight, shouted out to her father by his first name. As the thin "Mithun!" rang out and people turned in amazement, she waddled up to him normally and he was affectionate. To each family their own, we say.
Aamir promoting TV serial
The reticent Aamir Khan was on telly this week promoting a serial called Bombay Lawyers on NDTV. We cannot say what surprised us more: the fact that a news channel was running a serial or the fact that Aamir agreed to speak to the media, much less promote it. The serial is about five lawyers who fight judicial cases turn by turn. Though Aamir is not playing any character in the show he is all over the channel to promote it. Meeta Vashisht who plays one of the lawyers says, "Aamir is a very old friend of Satyajit's, who directed the documentary on the making of Lagaan. So he's just giving the serial a profile to promote it. That's how it works these days."
