Now if there is any fiction I will follow and if I will visit I-F after today, it would be only because of "Daddy's hands"

Thank you for deciding to follow this! I hope that I can keep you entertained! 😊

Chapter One

That night as he lay in bed, Randhir remembered the earlier confrontation with Sanyukta. It shook him violently, and not in the physical way. He felt emotionally drained. His mind wandered to what happened earlier in the day.

"What... what are you talking about?" he spluttered, as he watched the crying lady in front of him.

"Please Randhir," she begged, tears streaming down her face.

"My... my daughter?" he asked, his eyes wide.

"Yes your daughter Randhir," she whispered.

He gritted his teeth.

"Get out!" he said loudly.

Her helpless eyes looked up at him, shocked, and he immediately felt guilty, but he had nothing to feel guilty about. This lady was back to haunt him, to torture him with memories of the past.

"We both know that Parth is her father. I don't know why you're here," he spat out.

She stood up immediately, her hands balling into fists.

"Randhir I knew that this was all I could expect from you. But still, I'm going to put my hands together and beg you to at least get tested. I don't care what you think after that."

She put down a paper containing the details of the test, along with the name of the doctor, before she turned around and left.

Randhir crumpled up the paper and threw it at the wall on the other side of the room.

Randhir got up from bed and picked up the paper that he had crumpled out of anger and straightened it. His eyes were red. He had been crying, remembering the days he was at college with Sanyukta. Although everything ended five years ago, the memories still hurt.

He thought he had moved on. But when he saw her in front of his eyes today after so long, all of his barriers had broken down and he realized that he hadn't truly moved on. If he had, he would not have felt this way in front of her.

"Why did you do this to me Sanyukta?" he whispered to himself in the dark room, feeling a tear fall from his eyes. "Why did you put me in the position where I can't let myself love you, and hating you only hurts me more?"

He went back to his bed and lay down, closing his eyes, remembering how life was back then at FITE.

"Randhir, get away from me!" she yelled angrily through tears.

They were standing outside in the rain, both of them drenched, their hearts aching to tell the other one what they desperately wanted to say for so long.

"Sanyukta you're a fool," Randhir yelled. "Come on, at least take my coat!"

She was shivering and had her arms crossed, trying to warm herself up with her own body heat.

"No Randhir, I don't want to talk to you!" she said stubbornly.

"Okay, listen I don't know how to make you stop crying... Sanyukta you know I'm bad at these things. I'm sorry okay?" he apologized, hating it when she cried.

"You are horrible Randhir," she wailed and started to cry even more, walking faster in front of him.

He ran to catch up with her, his hand gripping her wrist and turning her around.

"That's enough Sanyukta!" he said, deciding to put a stop to it. "If you want to cry then cry. I won't stop you. But dammit, at least talk to me! Tell me what I did!"

"Nothing," she cried. "Nothing! That's why you're horrible!"

"Can you explain?" he asked, frustrated.

Why were girls so damn hard to understand, so hard to read?

"You love someone right?" she asked him, looking up into his eyes through her puffy ones. "Why don't you confess?"

He looked down into her eyes. If only she knew that he loved her.

"I can't confess!" he said adamantly. "And why are you crying because of that?"

"Because you love her and she won't even know and if she loves you back you're wasting time," she cried, wiping her eyes with her hand. "I know I'm being silly. I'm sorry. I just wanted to cry!"

He grabbed her shoulders and held her in front of him, the rain pouring over their faces.

"If I told her I loved her, she might say she doesn't love me back," he said fearfully.

He watched as a raindrop fell down her lips. His gaze drifted down to her body, looking her up and down, at her clothes which were clinging to her body. She looked so sexy.

"I just want you to be happy Randhir," she said before breaking down crying again. "If she says yes, I might be sad, but you'll be happy and I'll be happy seeing you happy!"

Randhir raised an eyebrow as she cried. He cupped her cheeks softly and pulled her face up.

"You'll be sad if she says yes? Why?" he asked her.

"I... no reason!" Sanyukta said quickly, the colour draining from her face. "I mean... she'll take my best friend away from me... that's why."

"We hated each other a week ago Sanyukta," he pointed out, his face moving closer to hers.

He could hear his heart beat... or was it hers?

"I mean... I mean... I don't know," she whispered.

He watched as more raindrops trickled down her lips. She closed her eyes as his lips moved closer to hers. Her hands held on to his arms nervously as his lips met hers in a soft kiss.

When they pulled back, she looked up into his eyes and her lips curved upwards.

"I love you," he whispered, pulling her body closer to his.

She rested her head on his chest.

"I love you too," she replied, smiling into his embrace.

"You could have just told me you wanted to hear me say that," he muttered.

She pulled her body off him, angrily.

"You know what Randhir, you could go and say I love you to someone else. How about Vidhushi? You two spend a lot of time with each other nowadays anyways," she snapped. "I frankly don't even care!"

Randhir grabbed her waist and pulled her closer again.

"I'm sorry," he apologized. "I won't make you jealous again."

She pulled her body back, huffing.

"Jealous? Me? No way! Not of that witch Vidhushi!" she grumbled. "And if you told me you loved me earlier, none of this would have happened!"

"None of what Sanyukta?" he asked, enjoying it when she took control like this.

"I wouldn't be crying and we wouldn't be in the rain and now because of you we're going to get sick tomorrow!" she groaned.

"Yeah, let's go in," he told her, grabbing her hand possessively. "So you're my girlfriend now huh?"

She removed her hand from his and blushed.

"Shhh in secret," she whispered. "Imagine what the school will say! We were just fighting until last week, and they're already taken aback by our newly found friendship. If we show them we're together, imagine the gossip! Especially by Vidhushi."

"Your wish is my command lady," he said, his eyes twinkling, as they walked inside the college building.

"One thing though," Sanyukta said, with a sweet smile. "I mean not trying to impose any rights on you or anything, but speak to that witch Vidhushi less. I don't like her."

"Then you speak to Parth less," he huffed.

"Fine! Deal," she said, with a wide smile.

Randhir shook himself out of his reverie and sighed. He decided that he would go and get tested. He knew his bone marrow wouldn't match in the slightest, because Sanyukta's daughter was not his daughter, but for some reason, he couldn't bring himself to ignore this.

The next morning, he freshened up and had breakfast before picking up his briefcase and heading towards his car to go to the hospital. He would get tested and then he had to get to work. He worked as an engineer in the biggest automobile firm in India.

As soon as the car stopped in front of the hospital, he felt nervous. He didn't know why he wanted to run away from there. What if... what if his bone marrow matched? Randhir didn't know how he would forgive himself. He shook his head. No way. That wasn't possible. That girl could not be his daughter.

The moment as he entered the cancer wing, he saw Sanyukta pacing back and forth in the corridor and he felt a strange sensation in his chest. It was longing mixed with pain. Her condition was horrible. She looked like she hadn't slept in days... her eyes were swollen, her face pale, there was nothing but dullness about her.

Without noticing him, she entered a room quickly. Randhir followed her and glanced into the room. He felt his heart drop at the sight in front of him. A little, frail girl was sitting on a hospital bed. Sanyukta was stroking her hair lovingly.

The girl had her small hands wrapped around one of Sanyukta's.

He stepped inside the room, as if he were pulled in by a magnetic force and the little girl's eyes landed on his.

"Daddy?" she asked, her eyes widening and a big smile taking over her features. Her face lit up instantly.

Sanyukta looked up at him uncomfortably, but he continued to walk towards the duo. Once he reached them, he looked down at the girl. She reached out to hold his hand. He offered his hand out to her, not saying a word. She rested her palm against his.

"You are daddy aren't you?" she asked him, happily. "See my hand is like yours!"

Randhir gulped, not knowing how to respond.

Sanyukta coughed.

"Darling, everyone's hands are the same," she said, taking the little girl's hand away from his.

"Mommy, I know he's my daddy!" the little girl said, reaching out to take his hand again.

Randhir couldn't stop looking at her nose. He was in shock.

She had his nose
.

"Look mommy, our hands are so similar!" the little girl said excitedly.

She was his daughter.
