Nope Nishi..its neither..

wow i got to say , i m a bit surprised that it took 2-3 guesses, i thought everybody would get it in first guess itself..😕

ANSWER : " Hogwarts Giant Squid "

Fearsome but demonstrably docile,

Its reminiscent of a giant sea monster in appearance but as has been repeatedly pointed out, its quite harmless.

Thus, the King's far fetched wishes seemed futile.

Ron "The King" (Weasley is our King) once wished that the giant squid would somehow hurt Viktor Krum when he went into the black lake for swimming during the course of the triwizard tournament..but obviously Viktor was unharmed..

Once an excited juvenile got carried away,

But it quickly steered him out of the harm's way.

Dennis Creevey "the juvenile" ( Collin Creevey's brother) fell into the black lake during his first boat ride towards Hogwarts.. however he was quickly brought to the safety of the boat by the giant squid..

The twins & their friend had a fun time with it,

It was ticklish,logically it seemed dangerous albeit.

Fred & George together with Lee Jorden , used to tickle the giant squid's tentacles for fun which might seem a bit dangerous at the first sight but was perfectly harmless..

It was one of the student's pastime,

Self explanatory- Hogwarts students even made it pastime whenever they could especially after finishing with their stressful exams (didnt they ?..read the books long time ago..lol)..

Serving it food was one way of doing it just like the brainy witch did it one time.

Hermoine "the brainy witch" once gave it bread/toast crumbs while walking alongside the lake with Harry..
