Part 23(A)

Kanjeevaram Saree pe nahi chidhaonga!

Raman stood there smiling broadly, sure of what will happen soon.

"Mera pallu kyu pakda hai apne?" Ishita hushed in low voice.

Raman stood there motionless. Ab Batao, meine kab pakda? Mera maan toh bahut kar raha hai!

Ye Raman apni harkato se kabhi baaz nahi aayenge.

"Raman leave it! Mujhe der ho rahi hai!" Ishita said all blushing. Raman liked this effect. HE still didn't speak anything and stood smiling.

"Raammaaan!" Ishita turned around without acknowledging the fact that the saree that was pinned on the shoulder was too light and thin to carry the jerk as she spun around. The saree pallu slipped of the safety pin, in not so safe place.

Raman who stood pleasantly smiling was now gaping at the sight in front of him. Ishita stood there just in her copper coloured shining blouse. The shine of the blouse complemented her skin. She looked breathtaking. He was drinking the sight that he had seen even before but could never get much of it. He kept on admiring her from top to bottom.

Unaware of the facts Ishita thought, Ye Raman mujhe aise ghoor kyu rahe hai? Just then she felt a cold wave hit her body and she realised that the pallu lay down on the ground leaving nothing for his imagination. "Aiyyoo Ammma!" She without thinking panicked and landed herself in yet another clumsy situation as she turned through the wrong side opening up her saree even more than before.

Now as the saree lay unwound till the pleats in front of Raman. He could not help move to Ishita in a daze. He walked and stood exactly behind Ishita. He held her by her waist and started kissing her nape as he slid his hands to her tummy. She shivered at the touch. HE further started placing open mouthed kissing making Ishita go weak in her knees and she turned her head to other side giving him all the more access to her skin. He further brushed his fingers against her navel making her moan. Unable to take in anymore of the silent tortures Ishita turned around and hugged Raman. Raman smiled at his wife in his arms as he hugged her back. He started nibbling on her left ear without breaking the hug. Ishita started responding to him and started kissing him on his cheeks. Just as they were about to move ahead with the passionate rendezvous they heard a louder knock .

"Main kabse knock kar raha hu Bhai! Jaldi karo! Bhabhi ko sab bula rahe hai! Everything is ready Bhabhi ke ghar mehendi aur Sangeet hai! Dhyaan se..." Romi laughed by the end guessing well what his Bhai was busy with.

"Kya hua Romi, puttar tu haans kiss vaste raha hai?" Mr. Bhalla asked. "Aur kya Dhyaan se?"

Inside the Room Raman and Ishita almost chocked on that. They every well understood Romi's comment.

"Wo papa ji Bhabhi ke ghar jagah karne ke liye samaan yaha shift kya hai na isley wo dekh kar nikle, nahi toh lag na jaye!" Romi smiled.

"Acha thik hai! Chal mein neeche bakkio ke saath coumpound hall mein hu! Tub hi aaja..." Mr. Bhalla left saying that. After he left, "Bhai apko bachane ke liye gift toh banta hai! Abhi toh jaa raha hu! Badme loonga! Sab neeche jai koi Ghar par nahi hai! Bus Simmi hai wo abhi thodi der pehle he aayi hai Ananya ke saath..." he laughed and walked off.

BACK IN ROOM

"Ye sab apki wajah se hua hai! Kya zarooratthi Pallu pakkadne ki?" Ishita glared at him still not moving away.

"Maine kab pakda?" Raman left his hold on her and moved back a little and pulled up his hand to show the pallu stuck to his coat button. "Ye dekho..."

Realisation hit Ishita. "OH! Phir bhi coat toh apka he na! Apke jaisa bilkul Faltu!"

Offended Raman questioned her, "Kya Faltu? Mein aur faltu? Tumhari saari faltu hai!"

Realising that her saree still lay on the ground Ishita looked away embarrassed. Looking at Ishita Raman felt proud and started teasing, "Agli baar dyaan rahunga ki agar tum mere rokne pe kabhi na ruko toh mein aise he apne faltu coat ya shirt ke button ki madat se roklunga!"

Ishita blushed even more, "Raman please saree..."

"Mein kya karu khud nikalo apni saree mere faltu button se.." Raman smiled.

Ishita frantically started taking out the saree from his coat button without realising that his hand constantly brushed her chest. Raman was well aware and awakened. Ye Jhasi ki Rani seduce karne ke najane koshish kyu karti hai? Ye aise he bina koshish kare kar sakti hai! Bewakoof aurat! He spoke the last words loudly. Ishita looked up at him startled. Seeing his eyes darkening she gulped. "Raman?"

"Kya Raman? Tum coat se saree nikalna chahti ho ya apne upar se nikalvana chahti ho?" Ishita looked at him shocked soon realising the position of his hands her heartbeat shot up. "Ruko tum." Raman pulled his hand away from her and plucked out the saree from his coat button and then wrapped around Ishita and pulled it up as her pallu. "Kabhi nahi socha tha ki ek asisa bhi din ayega jab mujhe tumhe Saree pehnana padege!" Wo bhi tab jab nikalni chahiye!

As soon as he was done Ishita rushed to the mirror and Raman hurriedly left the room after murmuring which was loud enough for Ishita, "Aaj se kabhi kanjeevaram saree pe nahi chidhaonga! I promise! Wo Thaan he better hai!"

Ishita laughed at Raman's plight as she herself covered her face hiding from her the mirror image in embarrassment. Chalo acha hua ek taunt kum hoga! She tried to come out of embarrassment still the blush that adorned her face didn't leave.

SOCIETY HALL

Raman with great difficulty had managed to shut Romi giving away one day leave to him as a price to lose his mouth keys to some stranger.

Silly Romi, dekhio tu iska badla zarror loonga mein! He cursed Romi under his breath.

Now, he was busy chatting with Bala while rest of the men's group sat around Mihir apart from Mr. Bhalla and Mr. Iyer; they sat together chatting in another corner like him and Bala.

He and Bala were happily chatting about weddings when Romi joined in, "Kya jeeju, ye kya boring boring wedding ki baate kar rahe ho? Aap toh humme koi mast si rasme batao jiska tadka hum Punjabi wedding mein daal saake!"

"Kya Romi? Kyu taang kar raha hai Bala ko?" Raman scolded him.
"Aree nahi nahi Raman it's ohk! Bus mujhe tumhare Mast ki definition thodi Samajh nahi aayi!" Bala laughed so did Raman.

"Uda lo aap do mazzak mera toh matlab romantic se tha! Ek toh bhala socho aur phir ye jhelo! Meine toh suna tha Madrasi ki rasme bahut sahi hoti hai!" Romi almost lowered his words by the last line but he had already caught Raman's attention.

Mast si rasme? Romi ka Mast toh mein jaanta hu! Lakin madrasio mein kya mast? Meri aur Ishita ki shaadi mein toh kuch nahi hua tha! Waise Raman agar kuch hota aur tu out of control ho jata toh madrasan out of control hojati! He smiled.

Seeing Raman smile both Bala and Romi looked confused. Bala tapped Raman's shoulder, "Kya hua?" "Aree kuch nahi Romi ki baat pe smile raha hu! Madrasio ki mast rasme meine dekhi thi!"

Bala laughed, "Haan wo Rasme the lakin games alag hote hai! I very well remember meri aur Vandu ki shaadi arranged marriage thi! Lakin Ishu, Mihika and Sonal, Mihika ki cousin wagara logo ne humme nahi jane diya tha! Balki apne stupid games se bahut tang kiya tha. Hum dono bahut embarrass hue the lakin wo aaj bhi meri shaadi ki sabse sweet memories hai!"

Romi and Raman gave each other a confused look and Romi whispered, "Bhai madrasi kuch embarrassing wali romantic games?"
Raman too whispered back, "I know it's unbelievable!"

Looking at both Romi and Raman Bala laughed again, "Yakeen nahi ho raha? Aree yaar teen-chaar games the ussme se ek mein toh Vandu had slipped. I even have a picture of that." With that Bala took out his phone and showed a picture in which both Vandita and Bala had their hands tied at the back and an apple was hanging in between them. "Hummese job hi iss apple to pehle bite karta wo jeet ta! Vandu had won but she slipped because of the jewellery and dress on me." Bala blushed slightly.

"Abbey oye! Ye toh sachi teez nikle!" Romi said surprised at the revelation. "Ye sirf dhullah dhullan ke liye thi?"

"Haan! Aur tum logo ke liye sabse shocking information ye idea Ishu ka tha! But mujhe kabhi usse revenge lene ka time nahi mila!" Just then his cell rang and he excused himself to attend it!

Raman's eyes widened. Oh! toh JKR ka deemag pehle se he kurafati tha! It's nothing new! Ab samjh aaya wo office wala idea phir wo lift wala! Iske baare mein roz kuch naya pata chalta hai aur aur zayada Pyaar ho jata hai! Parrr... Kaash Meri wedding aise Madrasi style hoti!

"Kya soach rahe ho Bhai! Yahi ki apka mauka chala gaya?" Romi smiled teasingly but stopped smiling as Raman glared at him.

"But tum logo ne acha yaad dilaya!" Bala joined back. "Hum iss baar ye kar sakte hai! Lakin kab wo pata nahi!"

"Kar sakte hai aaj Party mein!" Romi jumped all excited like a kid.

"Per Ishita toh nahi aarahi party mein!" Raman said sadly.

Romi and Bala exchanged looks. "Par Raman ye toh sirf pati patni ke liye hai!" Bala couldn't even complete and started laughing heartily as Romi joined him while Raman sat with a flushed face on his stupidity.

"Par iss baar Punjabi wedding hai aur madras idea ka tadka toh kyu na sab couples part le!" Romi smiled as Raman hugged him, "Tu na sachi mera Bhai hai Romi!"

He was happy to see his Bhai happy. Mein chahe kitna bhi nalay kyu nah u Bhai! Par apko aur BAhbhi ko kabhi dukhi nahi dekh sakta! Bhabhi ne mujhe sudhara hai aur apne mujhe Romi Bhalla ek acha beta banaya hai! Bus ab aaj Simmi Wapis aagayi bua ji ke yaha se mujhe umeed hai ki wo bhi dheere dheeere thik ho jayegi aur humara parivaar poora hojayega! I promise to you that main apka best Bhai banke dikhaonga apko harakar! Oops lagta hai zayada ho gaya kyuki ye impossible hai! He smiled.

"Acha chalo mein ab jaake iski tayeeyariya karta hu!" Romi got up.

"Or mein thoda college ka kaam dekh lu tab tak tum zara baccho ko dekh lo!" Bala too left.

Raman went upstairs to check kids.

IN IYER HOUSE

The celebration was on full swing Mihika was almost through with her mehendi and now Ishita sat there for the mehendi while Ruhi sat with her instructing the lady who was applying the mehendi.

Aditya and Shravan sat together playing with the garlands. Aditya first time was enjoying his childhood function. He could bet that this was better than any classy party he had attended in his life.

Just then Raman entered the room and secretly smiled as he saw Adi find happiness in little things but obviously better than money, what Shagun offered.

"Dad, I just love all this. All this is so new for me." Adi smiled happily as he spoke with his father.

"I know!" Raman smiled too.

"Where is your ma?" Raman asked. I have to convince her for the party. Patani ye kaise hoga!

"Ma waha hai... Mehendi lagva rahi hai!" Adi chirped. "Aap ma ko tang nahi karna or jaha tak wo game ki baat hai, agar mom comfortable ho to hi khelna, DO NOT TROUBLE HER." He stressed on the last words.

Raman stood there dumbfounded, "Game?"

"Romi chachu ne bataya yaha par sabko! Sab aayenge Ma bhi! Lakin maa apse bahut gussa hai kyuki wo bhauhut embarrass huyi apki wahah se. Romi chachu ne sabko bata diya ki aapka idea tha Ma ke saath game khelne ka..." Adi explained softly.

"Ye Romi ko toh mein..." Raman angrily mumbled.

"Rehne do I sorted it. Romi Chahu ki new bike cancel karwa donga mein! Meri mom pareshaani huyi unki wagah se!" Adi humped and left.

Raman stood there amazed. Ye woi baccha hai jo thode din pehle jab mujhse nafrat karta tha mujhe dad bolne ke liye tayeyaar tha Iski Ishima se sorry bulvane ke liye! Silly. Chadugar Iyer Bhalla!

With that he moved towards Ishita. Mrs. Iyer saw Raman. She did a small happy Bharatnatyam Dance I her head and then spoke with a straight face, "Aiyoo Raman kaha jate tum? Gents not allowed here!"

Raman fumbled with the phone in his hand. "Amma, Ishita se Zaroori kaam hai! Shaam hogayi ab toh! Sangeet bhi khatam hogaya hai na almost ladies bahar jaa rahi thi!" Smart, Raman! Tu bhi pakka Mr. Chadugar Bhalla banta jaa raha hai! Sangatee ka asar hai! He smiled secretly which didn't go unnoticed by Mrs. Iyer.

She couldn't afford stopping happiness to enter her daughter's life at any point of time. She let go Raman. By the time Raman reached inside Ishita had already put her mehendi and was sitting alone staring at cup of tea with a pout.
