Kapil Sharma gains back traction as Rahul Gandhi stops giving public speeches

Kapil Sharma, one of India's most celebrated stand-up comedians, had lost much of his show's TRP during the Indian general-election period owing to the extremely hilarious comedy speeches Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi used to give in his public rallies. However, as Congress suffered its worst ever defeat, Rahul Gandhi stopped speaking in public and hasn't spoken inside the parliament yet. Media analysts opine this has brought Indian humor and light comedy fans back to Kapil Sharma and his titular show.
Kapil Sharma had openly admitted back in March that if there was one person whom he considered a threat when it comes to comedy, it was Rahul Gandhi. "I mean, listen to his speeches", Sharma said, "they're so hilarious that I never stood a chance against him. I have, to this day, no idea how RaGa came up with such mind-blowing jokes. He's just amazing because he doesn't even have to prepare a bit. If Congress had won the election and he had started speaking more often, I'd considering retirement."
But luckily for Sharma and other comedians for whom stand-up comedy is their means of livelihood, RaGa has now stopped giving public speeches. Colors TV had accused AajTak and other news channels of robbing the user base of their popular show "Comedy Nights with Kapil" by repeatedly telecasting Rahul Gandhi's speeches. But TimesNow had rejected their accusation as baseless and far from reality saying they never used RaGa's speeches to boost their TRP as they had their own dark-comedian in Mr.Arnab. "We never ever, ever ever, never never ever misused RaGa's power of inducing laughter riots," the channel's heavily influenced statement made it clear.
BJP spokesperson told The UnReal Times that their party wished to have Congress as the main opposition party and RaGa to be the leader of opposition so that a humorous ambiance will be created inside the parliament. "Everybody wants to have some light time after a serious session," he added, "what better way to relax than listening to RaGa speak at the end of every session? It sure lightens the mood and relaxes everybody. I tell you a humorous speech at the end is a must after a long day's work."
Colors TV rivals are contemplating starting a comedy show with RaGa and Digvijay Singh as its main hosts. Zee TV's strategic head Varun Bhatnagar says, "Imagine RaGa and Digvijay Singh on the same stage. Give them a solid subject to speak about, say RSS or secularism' or women empowerment'. I'm sure it'll be one hell of a laughter riot. Would anyone even consider changing the TV channel? I'd watch its tenth re-telecast also."
