Part 30

Rey: Swayam baat kya hai? Why are you so angry?

Swayam slammed the break of the car which made a screeching sound and halted with a jerk. He inhaled in a deep breath and let it out in an attempt to calm himself and not lash at his best friend.

Swayam: Rey I really didn't expect ki tum aisa kuch kar sakte ho!

Rey: Meine kiya kya hai?

Swayam: Rey sach sach batana kya tum meri behen se sachme pyaar karte hai?

Rey: Yeh kaisa sawal hai? Ofcourse I love her. Par tum aise kyun pooch rahe ho?

Swayam: Agar pyaar karte ho toh usse ignore kyun kar rahe ho? From the past few days I'm seeing you both are behaving awkwardly. Aur abh jab sab kuch ho gaya hai, toh tum keh rahe ho ki you aren't ready? Yeh tum yeh sab karne ke pehle nahi soch sakte the? Uski life kyun barbaad ki? I still can't believe that you out of all the people stooped so low. I can't believe YOU USED HER!

Rey: WHAT? Swayam tum bol kya rahe ho? Meine Taani ki life barbaad ki? I have stooped down? I used her? What in the world do you wanna say?

Swayam: Wow Rey! Now please don't act as if you don't know anything. (He scoffed.)

Rey: Swayam tu saaf saaf bolega please. Aise ghuma firake baat mat kar.

Swayam: Fine. Here. Read it.

Swayam handed Rey his phone. Rey was surprised as he didn't even realize that his phone was with Swayam. Rey glanced at his phone screen and blanched. Blood drained out from his face and he paled. He looked up and saw disgust on Swayam's face. He briefly closed his eyes and opened them again. He was staring blankly at his phone which read a message from Taani saying "Rey, I'm PREGNANT!" He couldn't believe his eyes.

Rey: How in the world? This can't be true! Swayam trust me aisa kuch nahi hai. I swear mere aur Taani ke beech mein kuch nahi hua hai.

Swayam: Toh fir yeh message kya hai? Aur voh tum mujhe bol rahe the that you are not yet ready vo sab kya tha?

Rey: Voh sab alag baat thi jo meine Taani se promise ki thi but I swear this can't be true. Mujhe Taani se baat karni hai. NOW!

Swayam drove his car to his house. The moment it stopped Rey jumped out of it and ran inside. Swayam too followed him but made his presence unfelt.

Rey: TAANI!

Taani came out of her room slowly. Rey caught her by her arms. His grip was too tight and she hissed at the pain caused.

Rey: Yeh kya hai? (He showed his phone.)

Taani: Yeh sach hai Rey. (She replied with her head low.)

Rey: What? You joking right?

Swayam stood silently listening to the entire story.

Taani: I knew it Rey. I knew it ki aapko yaad nahi hoga. Kaise yaad hota, party ke end mein aapne drinks li thi and then you took me with you to your room and.. (she left her sentence midway)

Rey: Konsi party? Aur tum jaanti ho that I don't drink!

Taani: Pre-event party jo aapke ghar pe thi. Mein jaanti hoon but you were drunk that day. Aur uska result yeh hai. (She placed her hand on her stomach still looking down and not meeting his eyes.)

Swayam came inside the house and held Rey by his collar. Taani was shocked to find Swayam there. He was about to punch Rey hard when Taani stopped him.

Swayam: Taani mera haath chodo!

Taani: Bhai ruko. Yeh sach nahi hai.

Swayam: Taani please, atleast stop defending him now. Aur tumne mujhe yeh baat pehle kyun nahi batayi?

Taani: Bhai chodo unhe, mein aapko sab samjhati hoon.

Swayam: Abh aur kya samjhana baki reh..

He left his sentence midway when he saw Rey burst out into fits of laughter. He eyed him making Rey laugh even harder.

Rey: Taani yeh idea tumhe kahan mila? (He spoke while still laughing.)

Taani lowered her head in embarrassment. Swayam looked at the two still eyeing them suspiciously.

Swayam: Rey tum hass kyun rahe ho?

Rey: Taani tumhe apne boyfriend ki jara bhi fikar nahi. Agar tumhara bhai Swayam ki jagah koi aur hota toh mein iss waqt hospital mein pada hota. (He continued laughing.)

Taani: Shutup Rey! Mujhe kya pata ki aapka phone bhai ke paas hoga! Mujhe appse kuch baat karni thi aur app baat nahi karna chahate the. Mein subah ek movie dekh rahi thi jisme uss ladki ne aisa prank kiya and her boyfriend came running home. Toh meine..

Rey: Toh tumne voh mujhpe try kiya. How smart! (He mocked.)

Taani: Mujhe kya pata yeh sab hoga. Aap apna phone apne paas nai rakh sakte?

Swayam: Yeh sab ho kya raha hai?

Rey: Saale sahab, aapki behen ki yeh saazish thi mujhe tumhare haathon maar dalne ki.

Swayam got grip of the entire situation and he too joined Rey and laughed making Taani more embarrassed.

Swayam: Mein chalta hoon. Tum dono apni baate complete kar lo. Mind you ONLY talking!

Taani: Bhai. (She said between her teeth glaring at Swayam.)

Swayam: Okay okay, I'm going to my room.

After Swayam left, Taani too left for her room followed by Rey. They both entered her room. Taani was still quiet due to embarrassment and was trying real hard to speak but she couldn't. Rey threw himself on her bed and leaning on his elbow looked at the bed and then Taani, and smirked.

Rey: Taani, tum sachme yeh chahati thi toh mujhe seedhe seedhe bol deti. (He smirked.)

Taani narrowed her eyes at him and then picked up a pillow and started hitting Rey when it struck her what he meant. Rey pulled her and she came crashing on his chest. He rolled on top of her trapping her beneath him.

Taani: Rey aap kya kar rahe ho?

Rey: Wahi jo meri girlfriend chahati hai. (He leaned closer to her.)

She moved her head in the opposite direction. After a while she turned her head towards him. He saw her teary eyes and instantly got worried. He got up quickly and sat beside her.

Rey: I.. I'm.. I'm really sorry Taani. Please don't cry. Mein mazak kar raha tha. (He said while wiping the tears which were rolling out of her eyes.)

Taani: I'm sorry Rey.

Rey: Hain? Tum kyun sorry bol rahi ho?

Taani: Kyunki meri iss prank ki wajah se bhai aap pe haath uthane wale the.

Rey: Uthaya toh nahi na? So chill. Aur waise agar uski jagah mein hota toh pakka saamne wala hospital mein hota iss waqt.

Taani: I'll have to warn Shivam about it then.

Rey: Ahhahahaha.. Taani tum bhi na.

Taani: Hehehe. Waise message pehle bhai ne kaise dekh lia?

Rey: Kuch nahi yaar Niki mere peeche haath dhoke padi huyi thi aur mein uske. So isi beech cell table pe reh gaya aur shayad tabhi Swayam ke haath lag gaya.

Taani: Mein toh bhai ko neeche dekh ke itna darr gayi thi. Samajh nahi aa raha tha ki unhe kaise batau ki aap hasne, ek minute, aapko kaise pata chala ki I was joking?

Rey: Tumhe kya laga I'll buy this joke?

Taani: No. But, batao na.

Rey: Ok ok. Mujhe to pakka yakeen tha ki this can't be true aur phir meine tumhe phone dikhaya tabhi you looked down and bit your lip to stop your smile. Meine voh dekh liya tha.

Taani: Toh aapne tabhi kuch kyun nahi kaha?

Rey: Kyunki mein yeh dekhna chahata tha ki tum mujhe yakeen dilane ke liye kya bolti ho.

Taani: How mean Rey! Aapko pata tha bhai bahar hai still you..

Rey: Awee. (He pulled her cheeks and pecked them.)

*Ting Tong*

Swayam goes and opens the door and finds the entire team standing there. Rey and Taani were still inside Taani's room.

Sharon: Itna kya important kaam tha jo tum wahan se aise nikal aaye? Aur Rey kahan hai?

Swayam: Tha Sharon, bohot important tha. Anyways come in, sab bahar kyun ruke ho?

Nil: Tu darwaze se hatega tabhi hum andar aayenge na.

Everyone came in and sat in the living room.

Niki: Waise Swayam, Rey hai kahan? Tumhare saath hi toh nikla tha.

*In Taani's room*

Taani got up from her bed on hearing some commotion coming from the living room.

Taani: Rey abhi bell baji thi na?

Rey: Baji hogi. Waise bhi Swayam hai na, he'll attend. Tum kyun ja rahi ho?

He pulled her back and she landed on her bed followed by a loud voice.

*In living room*

Simmi: Yeh awaaz kya thi?

Kriya: I guess vo uss room se aayi. (She pointed at Taani's room.)

*In Taani's room*

Taani: Aapne mera bed firse tod diya?

Rey: Oops! (He stifled his laugh.)

*In living room*

Sharon: Taani andar kar kya rahi hai?

Swayam (thinking): Yeh andar ho kya raha hai? I'm damn sure phirse unn dono ne bed.. (He remembered the previous encounter with Rey and Taani in her room and made a weird face.)

Nil: Iski shakal dekhne se lagta hai ki Taani ke room me koi aur bhi hai.

Niki: Koi au.. oh I get it!😆

Sharon (whispering to Swayam): Apna face theek karo.

*In Taani's room*

Taani: Rey utho!

Rey: Okay buhba relax.

Taani: Relax? Aapne mera bed tod diya aur app mujhe relax rehne ko keh rahe hai?

Rey: Waise tumhara bed kaafi weak hai. Aise chote jhatkon se hi toot jata hai

Taani: You! (she threw a pillow at him)

Rey: Hahaahaha.. apni shakal dekho. Poori laal ho gayi ho.

Taani: Bohot hasi aa rahi hai na? (she started hitting him with pillow)

Rey: OUCH OU OU. Arre stop. OU..

*In living room*

Everyone heard some noise coming from inside the room.

Shivam: Yeh kisike chillane ki awaaz hai, nai?

Niki: Kisi ladke ki.

Swayam glared at the two shutting them completely.

Swayam: Rey! Taani! Out. NOW!

Everyone burst out laughing except Kriya, who was giving suspicious looks.

Sharon: Jab Swayam yeh jaante huye bhi ki andar Rey aur Taani hai ALMOST normal behave kar raha tha, toh tum aisi shakle kyun bana rahi ho? (She asked Kriya.)

*In Taani's room*

Taani: Shit! Bhai!

Rey: Don't worry voh iss baar andar nahi aayega.😆

Taani: Haan but hume bahar bulaya hai chalo.

They both went outside and were surprised to see the entire gang there giving them knowing looks.

Rey: Hey guys tum sab kab aaye?

Nil: Jab tum andar bed todne mein busy the!

Rey and Taani completely reddened at his comment while the others burst out laughing, obviously with the exception being Swayam who behaved as if he didn't hear anything.

Niki: Mujhe nahi pata tha ki mera bhai itna bada chupa rustam hai. (She said rolling her tongue inside her mouth.)

Rey: Shut up! (He muttered.)

Kriya (thinking): Bhai! Rey aur Niki Bhai behen hai. Abh mujhe sab samajh aagaya. Thank god meine kisise baath nahi ki warna voh mujhpe kitna haste. (She laughed at her own thinking.)

Shivam: Oh toh Rey ka important kaam yeh tha. Swayam tumhara kya tha? I'm sure Rey ko yahan drop karna toh bilkul nahi tha.

Sharon: Guys please ab bas karo. Yeh dono room mein the aur pakde gaye hai fir bhi Swayam ki shakal inse jyada bigdi huyi hai. Let's give him a break.

Swayam's mouth hung open on hearing Sharon say this while the others couldn't stop their laughter.
