You came into my life, on a random day
A cute doll that lived
That day, your tiny fingers touched my hand
The memory still remains so vivid.
I tried with utmost difficulty to speak to you,
I knew the truth that left me almost torn
When you forgave me from the bottom of your heart,
That moment I knew, a new world of mine was born.
No sooner than we met, we had to part
For a better family for yourself, that you got.
When the truth of that too reached my ears
It shred my heart to pieces like a bullet-shot.
Every time your pain-filled eyes met mine, it killed me.
All I could do was, wipe your tears flowing
Your kin too walked away which left me
Searching for your hidden future, unknowing.
I trust not anyone anymore,
From now, you'll be my child, my world
Even if I am being crushed within,
I will make sure you rise up in the world.
That was the moment I had longed for,
That long endured wait, that sometimes was painful
This was it and my princess now you are
Who ventured into my life to make it beautiful
I will be with you through your hardest times,
For now, my heart, my everything are you
The happiest man, now, in the world, none can be.
For my long standing 5-year dream had come true
Tears of elation flowed down before I knew,
That I had heard your heart tell me ,"Dad I love you"
