Riddle :

I was a part of a remarkable day in the life & family of the chosen one,

My advances were rebuffed, yet I remain one of the closest one.

The chosen one never paid me much heed, but his companion did & that was for a reason,

I was taken advantage of, for it was never my intention to commit any treason.

My end remains shrouded in enigma,

It culminated in a grotesque surprise, which for the leading trio became a cause for future delima .

Used for sinister motives,not once but twice,

My name is now down in the history,free of any vice.

Edit Hint :

I have included two distinct incidences in the book side by side in the riddle, so that might be a little confusing in answering the riddle..so keep that in mind & u should b able to answer in no time.. 😉 😊
