Success:Story on Kalpi[Rachana] last part on Pg 140 [30th july] - Page 8

Kalpi is very happy today.. it was her first day @coaching.. She enjoyed every bit of it.. Teaching wasn't new for her as she has helped various students of her chawl as well as in hostel but working as a teacher was a new experience.. She hasn't felt so happy in her previous job.. The excitement of students and their dreams had encouraged her a lot..

She starts walking fastly towards the hostel as the only person with whom she wants to share this happiness is Payal... She rushes to her room only to find it empty.. Unhappily she goes to her closet to take out some clothes... She finds a sticky note there which says..

Kalpana,

I am going for my dance rehearsal,

hoping to see you there.

Plz come as soon as u read the note.

I have left address on the table.

Payal

Kalpi reaches rehearsal hall.. it wasn't as big as she assumed but was enough for 4-5dancers.. The interior was perfectly matching with it's purpose... The big sound systems.. painting on the wall.. few cds... Everything was just perfect to attract any dancer. She is surprised to find Roy and Payal there dancing with a girl instructing them.. Looks like they are practicing for some event.. She doesn't want to disturb them so stands on the door watching them.. She remembers her childhood incident when Kamla slapped her for dancing.

Kalpi(to herself) : How luckily they are.. They have all the rights to fulfill their dreams.. But I.. I am born with a dream.. A dream of my Ayi which I have to fulfill.. I do not have time to devote to my hobbies... I can't tell them how much I love to dance.. It's my passion which I have hidden from everyone.

Payal notices Kalpi lost in her thoughts.. She pings her..

Payal : Kalpi.. Why r u standing there?? Come.. Meet her... She is Arohi.. our choreographer.. We are preparing for the next month's Dance festival... Roy is winning this competition from last 3 years.. But this time.. he is my partner.. and we will win for sure... I am talking part for the first time.. M damn excited..

Roy : Stop talking.. Let her come in first.. Kalpi just come in..She will keep blabbering..

Payal : Blabbering?? I dnt blabber.. I was just sharing it with her.. Btw Kalpi how was ur first day at work??

Kalpi : Finally u asked.. U know I ws dying to tell u.. I am so so so happy.. can't describe in words... The students were so enthusiastic.. Each has their own dreams.. It was just introductory class and I enjoyed talking with them.. Some one wants to become pilot as he wants to fly high while other boy wants to become a doctor so that he can save people's life.. and the girl Khushi.. she is so sweet.. just @14 she talks like a nature woman..Her dreams are so big and she is clear them. I can't tell u the feeling of being teacher.. I felt as if I am going to contribute in their dreams.. I feel I am going to make many engineers, doctors, pilots and many more... I am going to help Khushi in her social work as well.. U know she wants to follow mother teresa'a path..

Roy notices all the expressions of Kalpi while she was talking about her coaching classes... He has not seen her so happy while talking about her mother's dream.. He keeps on staring at her.. The glow in her eyes was attracting him.. He observes her sharply.. Despite of being dusky she has the features to kill anybody.. Her big eyes are so expressive that it can't hide her pains.. Her smile ahs the power to give life to a dead person...She feels sorry for the guy who lost such a beauty for stupid revenge... Payal's voice interrupts his thoughts.. She was asking Kalpi about dance.. Kalpi has agreed to move a bit for her as she is very happy today..

Payal play "Tu hai toh" song from movie dostana.. All three starts dancing on it and enjoying... They were just moving and doing fun.. On seeing them Arohi leaves the hall. Roy notices K's moves and compliments her on her dancing skills... Payal agrees with him and tells Kalpi to dance alone..

Kalpi : No Payal, I can't dance.. I am very bad at it.. I just joined it for u..

Payal : Ahh Kalpi.. today dance for urself.. for ur happiness..

Kalpi : No.. I cnt dance alone.. u have to dance with me..

Roy indicates Payal to agree and changes the song.. "mil gayi aj asman se.." of Gujarish.. Kalpi and Payal starts dancing.. after a bit of hesitation Kalpi starts dancing passionately.. Payal too notices her and goes to Roy who was recording their dance... Kalpi's was dancing effortlessly.. It looked like she is trying to remove all the pain by dance... The Kalpi who was dancing was different from the Kalpi who left mumbai.. Kalpi was feeling free from all the burden of her past...

After the dance Kalpi sits on the floor.. with tears in her eyes.. Payal and Roy rushes towards her..

Payal : Why r u crying?

Kalpi : M not crying.. this are tears of happiness.. I am feeling free today.. I am not sayind that I have changed over night but right now m feeling a new person inside.. who is happy by her heart.. Thank you guys for being there for me..

Kalpi narrates them the past incident to them.. How she has surpassed her feeling for her mom's happiness and how dancing is her passion. Payal asks kalpi to join them in this festival but Kalpi denies it.

Kalpi : No payal, I won't do anything against my mother's wish.. I won't dance

Payal still wants to force her but Roy stops her from saying anything.. He tells Payal to give Kalpi some time... If she wants than she will join by her own.. They leaves from there.. Roy on his bike and Kalpi-Payal on her scooty.. The whole day passes calmly..

@cafe

Kalpi gets a new number from her cafe so that she can be in touch with her staff. Roy arrives very late today and is impressed to see Kalpi managing everything efficiently.

Roy : Kalpi.. should I stop coming from tomorrow??

Kalpi(cautiously) : Why?? Did I committed any mistake?? I am sorry..

Roy : Chill!! I am asking coz u r doing all my work very efficiently.. This cafe doesn't need me anymore.. Why r u so worried?? M just complimenting u..

Kalpi : I am not used to compliments but comments.. Old habits won't go so easily..

Roy : But it will go for sure.. btw u can leave now.. I will manage all other things..

Kalpi : No Roy.. I will leave on time only.. I do not want any favor coz of our frnshp..

Roy : Hmm... Impressive... bt look at the watch.. 5 mins are left for ur shift..and there aren't any customer so m not favoring u.. Now let's leave.. I will drop u..

Kalpi : Drop me?? But my hostel is at walking distance..

Roy : Okay than I will walk with u..

Kalpi : But why??

Roy : Coz it's too late and I can't let u go alone... Delhi is not as safe as mumbai!!

Kalpi remembers the day when she was standing alone in the rain and Raghav dint stop her car.. thn she remembers the day when Raghav followed her auto to ensure her safety.. She feels sad.. On the way Roy and Kalpi both were silent.. Roy was observing her very keenly.. He understands that she is thinking about that guy from her expressions.. He wants to ask about "the guy" but dsnt want to hurt her more.

@Kalpi's room..

Payal and Kalpi has changed their room's arrangement.. Payal dint want this room to look like hostel anymore... Now their beds are joined and tables are together... Both are lying on their bed having some heart to heart convo suddenly Payal asks Kalpi about dancing classes.

Kalpi : I love dancing from childhood.. But as I told u my mom doesn't want me to waste my time in this things.. She wants me to study and become memsaab.. She feels other activities will distract me and I will loose my focus

Payal : U have already told me that.. but what do u want Kalpi?? Don't u fell relaxed while dancing??

Kalpi : Yes I do.. but..

Payal : Kalpi dance won't affect ur career.. instead It will make u happy and ur efficiency will increase.. U have decided to move on than why are u thinking about the past incidents..

Kalpi : I do not want to remember about my love life..but my ayi is my life.. how can I hurt her??

Payal : M not telling u to hurt her but to make her happy.. Ur ayi loves u a lot na? Ok... wrong ques I guess but ur ayi wants to see u happy and dance will make u happy.. so plz join the academy and take part in the competition. U can quit whenever u won't.. but try at least!!

Kalpi(still confused) : I will think about it..

Payal : No.. u r just joining it and that's final..

Kalpi : But about fees..

Payal : U dnt have to pay anything.. this academy is for passionate dancer.. u just have to pass the entrance test based on ur dancing skills and academy will help u in various functions.. And for ur information.. u have already passed the test as I have mailed ur recording to the choreographer.

Kalpi : Okay I will learn dance for my own.. but I want take part in any competition.. And now no more discussion on that...

Payal(happily) : Okay!!

Precap : Kalpi and roy convo regarding her career..

Roy: Ur ayi wants u to become memsaab?? What this memsaab means to u?? What r ur dreams?? What are ur aims??
