My 14th and Final riddle on THIS thread:

My short life was quite eventful,

Though my end was quite dreadful.

I was always intrigued by the things that are unknown,

The painful turn of events was something I couldn't govern.

I should have known my happiness was short-lived,

But it had nothing to do with the way I was finished.

I too rebelled against the dark forces that were unleashed,

Unfortunately my name ended up being one among the deceased.

Edit Hint:

What I dreaded became a reality,

I was distraught by its brutality.

( P.S. very simple and all lines are clues)
