When Scabbers got disappears (actually hide in Hagrid Hut) Ron accused Crookshanks and convinced that Crookshanks had eaten Scabbers

I can spot a bad guy from from a mile away.

Even if it takes everyone else forever to figure it out.

Crookshanks immediately took a disliking to Scabbers, (perhaps because he was half-kneazle and could detect frauds) trying to attack him through Ron's clothes the first time they met. Afterwards, Crookshanks independently sought Scabbers out causing the rat to seek hiding places.

Crookshanks met Sirius Black in his Animagus from of Padfoot on the Hogwarts grounds several times, she helped him get into the castle by stealing password from Neville Longbottom...she became best friend to whom who everybody think of killer (Sirius Black) but he's not...
