Her eyes lit up with that childlike innocence in them and hugged him sideways. He watched her colors change... for a moment she is that arrogant Geet handa and the next moment she was that innocent Geet. he was loving this shade of hers too. He went back to his work, informing that he'd pick her up from office by 7. She needn't get read in some fancy thing or anything. She got back to her cabin and slumped on her chair, looking at her nameplate"Director Geet Handa!

Hatred--a very strong emotion to carry in heart. Probably, stronger emotion than love. its said that love kills you but hatred snatches away your soul. An emotion so strong that it burns everyone around, along with yourself.

Geet sat in her cabin wondering how could Ana say such things! it was because of her that everything was wrong... then why in the f*cked up world she isn't she able to remember those memories that had changed her life! she opened her eyes a bit and saw Sasha in her cabin, lost in her world. Something was probably up with her and Raj. She left her alone because she guessed Sasha needed to be alone. she closed back her eyes and thought hard to remember why Ana had so much anger in her..what happened with her father that Ana held so much hatred!!

Her cell beeped, breaking her reverie. It was maan asking her to come out. Oh yea dinner! She recalled and rushed out. Sasha saw her going somewhere and immediately went after her, "anything urgent ma'am?"

Geet smiled weakly, "tell me Sasha... how did my father die?"

Sasha didn't react surprised. She just answered her calmly, "He wasn't keeping well..and hence passed away when it got worse."

Geet realized Sasha was not being herself. She was about to ask something when Sasha's phone beeped, making her restless. Geet sensed that and shook her head, "I am going out for dinner with maan... you look tired Sasha. Go home and rest."

Sasha didn;t reply. She just went back to her desk, packing her stuffs. Geet had never seen Sasha this forlorn. She wanted to ask but she herself was in a bigger dilemma. Her phone rang again and rushed out. She knew his arms were the warmest place in this whole world. He rested her head on his chest, listening to his heart beats. It was the only place that could calm her. like he sensed her restlessness.

"kya hua?"

"umm... nothing.."

"lets speak over dinner.."

He drove her to one of his favourite restaurants and she was surprised that it wasn't a fancy one ..unlike those he had taken her in the past. Yes, she has recalled their moments in cafe and restaurants and their goa trip as well and that was it! she knew there was more to it...a lot more and it was making her restless, just like that dream of hers. The restaurant was a small yet it had a warmth. They sat at the corner most table, by the floor-to-ceiling glass window. There was less traffic and she just looked out, playing with her fork, thinking something.

"Geet.. tell me what bothers you..", he noticed her unusually quiet and lost somewhere.

"umm.. maan.. I am sending Ana to hostel and she'd shift day after tomorrow."

He literally choked hearing her sudden decision, "what are you saying? Are you crazy?"

She looked at him seriously, "we cannot stay at your place forever.."

He stilled for a moment...he had never expected this! It enraged him...how can she think of going away? Ana was a part of his family as much as she was.

"how can you think like that? its her family and why the hell you think you can't stay with me forever..? what is wrong with you?"

She gulped seeing his anger but she was someone who was never scared of him. she held his hand and caressed its knuckles, "try to understand maan... I am trying to stand back on my feet..."

He cut her in between, "no one is going anywhere...samjhi tum..."

"maan please.. You know me right and you do know I am getting back things. I don't want to be a burden on you..you know how much I hated that..."

"but that was past... "

"and I still don't like it maan... please let me!", she literally pleaded.

He just looked away, not even in a mood to listen to anything. A faint music reached her ears and she looked around the hall. the lights had dimmed and a few couples danced to a soft number, ittle ahead, in the open area. She just held his hand and dragged him towards the lounge. Apparently a couple was celebrating their anniversary and they were celebrating it with everyone there.

Maan though mad, didn't protest to where she was leading him. he was totally upset to even notice anything. She joined the other couples and looked at him. he still looked away. She sighed and held one of his hands and placed it on her waist, submissively. He ignored her look. She placed her left hand on his chest and held his other hand with her right and urged him to dance. He looked at her irritated and she smiled sweetly. He just ignored, swaying to the music, softly.

maan...look at me please...", she whispered, looking at him, "please..."

He sighed and looked at her pleading lips. She smiled and rested her head on his chest, "you want me to be independent right... to be able to do things of my own... you want that right?"

His hand tightened around her waist, possessively, as he led the waltz, feeling her chest rise and fall with her deep breaths.

"..then let me go! They say if you love your child, then send that beloved child on a journey.. let me remember things maan.. please."

"I am scared...i cannot just let you go away..", he confessed honestly.

She straightened and looked into his eyes, "I am always with you but you have to let go. I promise I will come back to you if things get difficult.. I want to be independent.."

He saw it in her eyes...her desire to soar high just like the fire she had in the past. And he knew he wont be able to stop her once she gets her memories back. He sighed and nodded. She raised on her toe tips and kissed him on his lips. The music was soft and so was their kiss. He held her in his arms trying hard to digest that he has to let go. The walked out hand in hand, lost in each other. He'd leave even before the sun rises. How will she live those days?

She didn't make it obvious but her own premonitions were scaring her. she wasn't getting good vibes at all. something was definitely wrong. She didn't know when she had dozed off in the car or when he had carried her to her room. But she did feel his warm lips on hers. It was a dreams perhaps but it felt so real. She smiled in her sleep and then the next moment the feel was gone. She snapped open her eyes immediately and saw him leaving the room slowly, closing the door of her room. Time stood still there...him walking away and vanishing behind the door got imprinted in her mind. it was only for a nano-second though but that moment of him going away just got imprinted in her mind!!

She sat in her office, looking into some files when someone knocked the door. She looked up and then at Sasha's cabin beside. She was busy and quite disturbed. Geet left her alone and asked the person to come in. A girl entered, clad in a mini skirt and a revealing top. she wore high heels and a dark shade of lipstick. Geet flinched with the sight and looked at the person who was all in smiles, seeing her.

"oh my god Geet... can't believe you are alive.."

She ran across and hugged her tightly. Geet stood still, wondering who could it be. She pushed her a bit away and looked at her suspiciously, "am sorry but can you tell me who are you?"

She looked at her in disbelief, "holy F*ck Geet... its indeed true! You really have lost all your memories darling..."

Geet just looked at her awkwardly trying hard to recognise the face at least so that she could relate to her past with that name but she just couldn't.

"i... I am really sorry but I just cant recall anything.."

She sighed and held Geet by her shoulders, "its me Geet...Jazz!!! now do you remember? We were great friends and studied in the same college darling..."

Jazz... the name chimed in her head. She thought hard and the name seemed familiar but she just couldn't recall her face or anything related to her. she had just recalled the important events of her life!

"Jazz??", she asked confused but played along, "how have you been?"

Jazz sighed, "I know you still don't remember but then thats fine. It will take time. We all missed you... Rahul, Sam..everyone was shocked hearing about your accident."

Geet couldn't relate to the names jazz spoke about and she kept looking at her in awe. She looked tired...her loud make up couldn't hide those sad eyes or those dark circles round her eyes. She talked animatedly like it was being forced but she smiled.

"so how about it?", jazz asked excitedly, "I was here for some work and got the news of you being alive..so came to see you.."

Geet shrugged, "about what jazz?". She had been too lost in her world to hear jazz.

Jazz rolled her eyes, "duh!! Lets party tonight.. you and me..like old days! In the disc? What say?"

Geet became quite uncomfortable hearing about it, "the disc? Are you sure?"

Jazz gave her a what-the-hell look, "are you crazy? They were your favourite places Geet... you loved to party... don't tell me you have forgotten about that as well!!"

Geet sighed in acceptance. She partied but being in a disc...and then it struck! May be she could recall stuffs! Yes if she could try, she might get back a lot of things.

"alright we will meet..."

Jazz clapped happily, "I know the best ones here.. will pick you up from here, right at 8.."

She walked away giving her a warm hug. Geet sighed and looked at Sasha looking at her sternly, "you are not going anywhere with her..."

"come on Sasha.. it can help me.."

"not when maan sir isn't here..."

"I will tell maan about it.. can you quickly fetch me an appropriate dress?"

It struck 8 and Geet stood outside her office, wearing a red dress that ended right above her knees...decent! she had tried to call maan but it went on voice mail. He was busy and Ana was not on speaking terms.

Jazz picked her up right at 8 from her office. Geet noticed jazz dressed too loudly in glitter glares. She was looking into her phone and then smiled at Geet, "sorry... need to take care of the house.."

They stopped at one of the famous places...posh and had an aura of its own. Jazz seemed too excited. Geet wondered if jazz had some problem but forgot all as she pulled her into that dark place. There were girls clad in the shortest dressed possible... there were people drinking, dancing, smoking...making out..loud music.. she couldn't bear the suffocation. Jazz pulled her to a table at the corner and made her sit, "lovely..isn't it?"

Geet looked around and smiled, getting a familiar vibe, "indeed it is.."

Jazz ordered drinks for them and Geet noticed she swayed to the music while she took out a small white packet from her purse.

hey..jazz whats that?"

Jazz had a wide smile on her face as she proudly took a sniff and sheer ecstasy splashed over her, "ahh... its the key to heaven Geet... you wanna try?"

Geet almost puked that drink, confused whether it was the taste or what jazz spoke.

"you take drugs? Jazz..are you crazy?"

Jazz lit up a cigarette happily, "doesn't matter Geet.. hey you wanna try a puff?"

She extended the cigarette to her. Geet cringed, "I don't..."

"what in the world are you talking about? You liked smoking girl... what the hell is wrong today?"

Geet was shocked..how come she didn't remember that phase of her life?

"really...i did?"

Jazz rolled her eyes and extended the lighted stick to her, "try it.."

Geet took it hesitantly...so this was her entire past? May be she should try...to know who she was, she had to be who she was! Thats what she had spoken to Sasha.

Making up her mind, she took a puff and the next minute burst out coughing. Jazz was already in the dance floor, losing her mind there. Geet looked at her and then back at the cigarette. She breathed in sharply, and this time, took in carefully, making sure she did it correctly. And this time her mind and body recognised what she was trying to do. She blew out the smoke proudly, getting flashes of the same from her past. She gulped down the drink, Slowly enjoying the music.

It all happened...her drinking and smoking and joining the dance floor, all reactions relating to her past and she felt light headed. This was her life indeed...how blissful it was..no care in the world. She frowned when jazz pulled her out of the crowd and got them back to their table. Her eyes were blood red as Geet noticed.

"jazz..are you alright?"

Jazz seemed almost at the verge of breaking down and her lips trembled, "how...why the hell he is here? That bas***d..."

"who jazz tell me.."

She pointed her finger to the person approaching them with a devilish grin on his face.

"what does he want from me now? wasn't breaking up enough?"

Geet turned back, only to see a very familiar face standing right in front of her, with a lopsided smile, "ohh.. its a surprise to see you here Geet.."

That voice..she froze! How can she forget? She had problems recognising faces but over the year, she had developed this amazing ability to remember and recognise voices.

"Mr. Rathode??"

"very well Geet...nice to see you with your friend here..", he ignored jazz totally and extended his hand for a shake. Uneasy, Geet shook her hands with him yet he dared to take liberty of holding her hand a little longer, caressing her knuckles.

Geet immediately pulled away her hands and looked at jazz who seemed too distressed, as if she'd throw up right there!

"hey hey do you need help?"

"I will leave you two to talk.. I will get to the washroom.."

The moment jazz left, Geet turned to him and glared, "what the hell did you do with her?"

Her voice demanding and cruel, made arjun smile, "I see a lot of improvements sweety..."

She hated that tone but she would surely give him nicely before leaving, "thanks Mr Rathode.. I must take my leave now.."

She turned to leave when arjun held her hands and dragged her to the dance floor, "come on..for old times sake.. let me tell you more about yourself darling... am sure you are eager to know..."
