Saving Lives
He had been eyeing her all week ever since she had saved his life but she didn't seem to care. But she should, shouldn't she?
She was a mere stuntwoman, and he? He was an actor, nothing less than a superstar. Even thinking that he would pay attention to her is a crime. Then why, why did she feel like his eyes followed her wherever she went, like they were her body's shadow?
During shoots, she always stood behind the heroine, and he always wondered why. But it made it easier for him to shoot romance. Somehow, it did.
It was their second last day of shoot in the hills. That was the problem in action films, they mostly shot in the cold and in high places. Usually, he found them very irritating, especially because the leads were supposed to be immune to the cold, like they were robots. But this time, her eyes provided all the warmth he needed.
The last scene was being shot. He was supposed to move backwards and threaten the heroine that he would jump if she did not say the truth. He had miscalculated and he fell. But someone held on to him. That someone was Sanyukta, the same stuntwoman who had somehow eased the trip for him.
As she pulled him up, he said, "What can I do to repay you? Thank you for saving my life, twice."
All of a sudden, she pulled him into a hard, long kiss and later said, "You're welcome. And don't give me that look Randhir, I'm a stuntwoman, I am supposed to be brave."
And that, my friends, is how he met his lobster.
