She looked at him...and something inside her mind clicked...She was starting to remember, his gaze locked with hers allowed her to remember. There was fire in them, and somehow that eased the turmoil of the last 12 hours. It felt good, something lost had been found, but that only her heart, her voiceless inner self knew. Zoya was utterly unaware.She was just trying to remember last night and the morning that followed...

She couldn't help but whiff the air he left behind. It smelled divine. She took in a deep breath and forgot the pain she almost felt when he said goodbye..She just stood there and held her breath. She needed this peace.

Asad got into the elevator and sighed.He leaned on the walls and looked up, taking a deep breath. A lot was happening around him, and it was weighing him down. The lead was crucial for him, it meant salvation for his sister, the justice she deserved. It also meant closure for the questions that had been haunting him for the past 2 years...But now, that was not the only matter at hand.

It was also the looming thoughts of Zoya. Zoya just wouldn't leave him alone. It seemed like she was there, everywhere, for a reason. No, he didn't not think it was planned, he knew it was nothing but mere coincidences. But why so many of them, he still couldn't figure. The intensity of their encounters were starting to take a toll on his sanity and making him question his motives, his intention.

He sighed again and continued to take in deep breaths to calm himself down, to reinstate his motive..

Zoya was nothing but the person that had somehow managed to be Abdul's next target.Her money, the lineage that she carried, was a magnet.It pulled people to her, and it paved way for danger. At first it was nothing, it meant nothing. It still didn't he corrected himself. The elevator was descending at its pace.10 more floors to go. She was a means to his end. But encountering her in situations of near death, had made him think otherwise. He couldn't be this selfish. No, he couldn't. He couldn't allow another girl be sacrificed just so he could give justice to his sister. He would hate himself if he let that happen. He had to somehow; keep Zoya at bay, away from the treacherous hands of Abdul. He had to save her. This need was strong, it was stronger than the truth he seeked. He couldn't deny it anymore.

He had to save Zoya, against all odds.

Finally the elevator door pinged. He walked up to his car and got in.
