I have no wings, but i like to fly

Brooms does not have wings (self-explanatory), but it is best media of transport in wizarding world.you can just fly away by saying "up"

I can go fast, but no brain have i

broomstick can go fast in speed but it is non-living thing so it does not have brain

I come in a wide range, and play in some sports

there is many range of broomstick available in market like combet, cleansweap, Nimbus 2000, Nimbus 2001 and best one firebolt(harry has one) and it is used to play quidditich game.

I break quite easily, if I smash into walls.

when harry was playing match against Hupplepuff,, he was attcaked by dementors and fell off his broom.the brooms crashed into the walls of whomping willow and was broken beyond repair

You're right! Didn't even notice... But it's not history of magic. I don't think anyone hung onto it's words except Hermione...
