Diamond in the dust
She was clumsy, she was fat
Never on top, she had a luggage on her back
The fun, the laugh and the giggles haunt her
Every time she took a step, there were enough to daunt her
'Oh you are just a little pig!' That's what she told her- the star girl
'But I am yet another girl.' were the words I gulped down beneath my world
She was a cheer captain and I was a nobody
She got to hear the cheers and I was used to 'Grow up fatty!'
They laugh on my skin, they laugh on my specs
They make me a joke both in front and on my back
I carry a lot, a lot of baggage in my arms
Why noone can see that all I need is a little warmth
Just give me a hug, and say 'its okay'
'I am all there if you need' is what I wanna take.
Well let it be if they really don't care
Cause even I understood that world is not that fair
For the stars to shine bright, you have to wait until the night
And soon the time will come when I'll feel light
The baggage will come down and the wings will grow
I can assure you one thing, I am never gonna get slow
I might be a rusty stone when taken out of crust
But they never realise the worth of a diamond when its kept in the dust.
P.S. This poem is written by me so please don't copy/paste it without permission. This poem is dedicated to namita (anotomy_nerd) Usually I write on topics that comes to my mind but a few days before namita gave me this suggestion. She really wanted me to write on this topic. Today I am not feeling that well so suddenly saare emotions iss poem mein nikal gaye. Sorry! Agar kharab ho to. And ya! yet again this is on a girl who was not a school princess; just an ordinary clumsy, fat girl of school. How much she bear and what she came out of in the end. I think she is a warrior. Give me your opinion. for the first time I tried incorporating the whole warrior journey in a poem. So tell me if I did a good job. I want honest reviews and please do hit like if you liked it
