Chapter 3

Everyone was having their food together in office except Asad and Jenny. Due to Humeira's continuous pleadings Zoya also joined them. It was then that they saw Asad storming towards them. Everyone was perplexed with the anger in his face.

Zoya who was simply nibbling on her food suddenly felt a yank in her arms and the next thing she knew was being collided into a hard chest. She looked up with terrified eyes but relaxed a little seeing Asad. But it soon gave away into pain as she felt Asad's grip becoming stronger in her arms.

"As...Asad..."

He tightened his arm more causing her to wince in pain. By this time everyone has stood up. Humeira rushed forward to intervene but Ayaan held her back in tight grip.

"Why Zoya? Why?"

Asad hissed at a scared Zoya.

"I...don't understand... what you are talking about"

In anger he left his grip forcefully making her to stumble in her steps and fall onto the floor while everyone gasped.

Ayaan felt it was the time to intervene.

"Dude, what happened to you? Why are you manhandling her?"

"She deserves it"

"What? Please stop your riddles and tell exactly what's going on? And where is Jenny?"

"She met with an accident. And do you know who paid the driver for the accident? Its Zoya..."

A complete silence prevailed in the room. Everyone had their mouth wide open at this. Zoya looked up at Asad with this accusation.

"Asad... what are you telling? I would never do that..."

He took large strides towards her and pulled her roughly onto her feet.

"You wouldn't? Really? How can you act in front of me even after everything? How can you be so conniving?

"There is some mistake Asad. I would never do that to her. Please believe me. Please..."

Tears streamed down her face as she pleaded with him. But luck was not on her side as he refused to believe her.

"Oh Really? I should believe you now huh? If you are really innocent then tell me why the driver confessed that it's you who gave him money and how come he is having a photo of you giving him money?"

Everyone was shocked to the core including Zoya. She looked at the photo which Asad was showing to everyone. One look at it and she realized that she has been trapped. She remembered how she helped a guy by giving him back a wad of cash which had fallen down from his pocket.

She tried explaining this to Asad but he turned a deaf ear towards this.

"You know Zoya, I would have believed you if it was the only evidence against you. But it's not. My Jenny had overheard you talking to someone on the phone about your plan to make me yours. Of course she didn't believe that you will stoop this low, but now we realized it."

Zoya was shocked with this accusation. She wanted to tell Asad that Jenny was lying, but she knew, he would never believe her.

"Asad, please. May be Jenny misunderstood what I heard. I would never say that and I would never do that."

Asad was not at all bothered with her tears and pleas. For him she was a cunning b***h who had ploy to take his love away from him.

"Oh Come on Zoya! How can you still lie? Confess your crimes already. Ok, leave it. Just answer my question. Do you still love me?"

Zoya looked at him wide-eyed. She was tongue-tied. Humeira came forward to help her but Asad indicated her to stop.

Zoya swallowed hard as she felt him nearing her. He caught her elbow and raised her roughly to his eye level as he repeated his question.

"Tell me Zoya, do you still love me?"

She closed her eyes shut and looked downwards. He bent a little and starter nuzzling in her hair much to her shock. She shivered at the emotions running through her. Unknowingly she raised her hand and clutched his shoulder hard. His lips found their way from column of her throat to corner of her mouth. His touch was creating havoc in her body. His lips were millimeters apart from her lips.

"Are you loving it Zoya, my touch?"

She snapped open her eyes at this question. She saw a dangerous smirk playing in his lips.

"Just now you proved to me and others that you were loving it. The way you reacted to my touch was just the way a girl reacts to a person to whom she is attracted to. If you didn't have any feelings towards me, you would have pushed me away the moment I touched you..."

She felt a sharp pain in her heart as she realized that he was testing her to prove his point. She felt betrayed all over again...

"Why Zoya why? What I and Jenny had done to you? Is it her mistake that I don't love you? How could you still harbor feelings for me? Have you ever thought about your husband? Or is it that he is not capable of satisfying your desires?"

She stood there numb hearing his accusations.

"I always thought of you as an innocent girl. But boy, I was wrong! You are a w***e who just wants to get laid. You could have told me that. I know many friends who want to get into bed with w***es like you."

She closed her ears shut hearing the venom in his voice. Seeing that he pulled her hand away from her ears.

"Listen to me carefully. I belong to only Jenny. I would never fall for a s**t like you. So just go away. I won't report you to police as I once considered you as a friend. Go away form here and never come back. I would not want to see your face ever again in my life, even if you are dead..."

With that he dragged her away from the office and threw her out of the door. Shutting the door on her face, he turned back only to meet his friends who were devastated with the sudden turn of events.
