Useful in my own way

Self explanatory

I have a secret within me

The Hallows sign

The braniac was first to see

Hermione noticed it first

Funny names have a home inside

Babbitty Rabbitty and her Cackling Stump, The Warlock's Hairy Heart, The Wizard and the Hopping Pot... Don't tell me those aren't funny!

Trying to find out what I mean, they had a bumpy ride

The went to Luna's house to ask her dad about the sign, but instead they were almost captured by Death Eaters

Only one first knew who I am

Only Ron knew about the book

Slowly he understood I'm not a sham

At first he thought that it was only a children's book, later he realised that it was much more than that

I belong to the wisest wizard

Dumbledore! Not Hermione!

My true purpose was soon mirrored

They soon found out why Dumbledore left Hermione the book

Lastly, my owner was a bee

Dumbledore is an old English word for Bumblebee
