SO here Payal's Flashback continues
PART 13: The Attraction
Payal returned to her university hostel and was confronted by her friends immediately.
Payal: Rajjo, Anya, Priya!! What is your problem girls?
Anya: do you know what have you done?
Rajjo: It was just a formal movie proposal and you sent him with cops for that?
Priya: Do you know who he is?
Payal: Who? Some big shot's son?
Meenu: Sarcasm at best Payaliya!!
Priya: No, He is the part time Management student of our class where we do full time.
Payal: does that give him the guts to...
Rajjo: Oh stop it payal. Its not a crime.
Payal: Rajjo, he is the guy who was stalking me since I started coming to that night club.
Anya: Payal, he is a very calm and silent guy in our uni. And he works in the same club as a chauffer.
Payal: How come you people know so much?
Chorus: Should we say?
Payal: fine! Fine! Now leave me alone.
Saying payal went out of her room and stood near the staircase looking at the blank sky. She then took out her mobile and called Khushi.
Khushi: Hello Jiji. How are you? I mean... you never call me at this time. Its not even dinner time, any prob?
Payal: Actually, I got a guy arrested by mistake. But he was stalking me for a long time. So I thought him to be a rogue when he tried flirting with me.
Payal recited the whole thing.
Khushi: Jiji, how many times? You always react without even listening to the concern person. Jiji, he might had some reason and flirting is not a crime unless it stays in limit and listening to what you say, I don't find him harmful. You overdid. Just make things alright. Now leave me, I am having my designs. Good night jiji and next time think atleast thrice before acting.
Payal pouted as she hung the call and looked at the brightly smiling moon that appeared from behind the cloud. Then she checked her watch and realized that there was more than an hour for dinner time of hostel. She ran in, took her purse.
Payal: girls, I will be back in sometime. Take care of that warden lady if she appears suddenly. Bye.
And she disappeared.
Rajjo: jhonke ki tarah ayi aur tufan ki tarah nikal gayi!
Came like breeze and disappeared like cyclone!
Priya: but where is she going?
Anya: Nandakisore hi jaane!!
Meanwhile Payal reached the backside wall of her hostel where she set up high stones near it so that she can escape when she wants. She climbed the wall using those stones and jumped outside the hostel.
Arnav: Are you saying that you used to jump out of the hostel this way and escape. I mean u sneak?
Payal: Yes I do. That's how we reach the hostel if we get late in clubs or movies. Now listen without interrupting.
Payal took an auto rickshaw and reached the police station where she saw Akash surrounded by many other boys. She reached him and was about to open her mouth when akash said.
Akash: Aha, you are here. You know for how long we were trying to track you?
Payal: er.. I am sorry. It was all my mistake.
Akash: please take back the complaint. I have better explanations for it.
Payal: Yes yes!!
She went in and gave a written assurance and apology taking back her complaint on Akash.
Inspector: think before you act girl. Not everytime you will be given such free access to cops. Go now.
Payal thought of Khushi's words and sighed on her actions. She came out as Akash was left alone by the boys who stood a bit far away from him. She neared him and gave a guilty smile.
Akash: I have a lot of explanations.
Payal: Me too. But not now. Its going to be 8:30 and I have to reach my hostel before that lady Hitler knocks our room door. Lets meet again?
Akash: sure. Tomorrow evening Theta club?
Payal: you work in Omega club?
Akash: I was. For now I am bartender in theta club. So its tomorrow evening. For now lets leave. Good night.
Payal smiled her reply.
Payal rushed to her hostel wall and reached her room with the help of her stone wall arrangements and the abandoned staircase. As soon as she reached her room her friends freaked.
Anya: Rush!! Dinner time Payal.
Priya: your dress.
Rajjo: your face.
Payal smiled at her crazy freaking friends. She took her night suit.
Payal: relax girls. Just a minute.
She went inside washroom and came out in her night suit in a minute with neat washed face and hair held in messy bun with a clip.
Payal: run girls.
All rushed to the dinner hall and sneaked into their places without anyone noticing. They silently had their dinner and came back to their room and closed the door behind. All gathered around Payal's bed.
RAjjo: care to explain Payal Gupta?
Priya: what is there to explain Rajjo? Opposite of the fairytale. Usually its warrior in armor saving the gorgeous damsel. Here our gorgeous Damsel ran to save her warrior in lock up and ahem ahem...
Payal: shut up priya.
Anya: Ohhh!! Look at our damsel blushing!
Payal: enough girls. I just went to take back my complaint.
Chorus: Ohhh!!
Payal: He was not guilty. So I had to!!
Chorus: Really?
Payal glared at them and let out a long breath.
Payal: Ok girls! That's enough. Bahot ho chuka! Lets sleep before that Surpanaka knocks our door. Good night.
Payal sain and lay on her bed after dimming her bedside light followed by her friends. All Payal could do was to think of the dark orbs imprisoned behind the bars of specs. She dozed off with a small smile. Next day she woke up all fresh stunning her classmates. Payal was a girl who was open only to her very close friends. Otherwise she was very moody types. But today she was all smiling. In the evening she had to do a lot of hard work to escape her friends who all of a sudden were very interestedi n taking her to a movie.
Payal: Girls, movie can wait. But for now I have something more important to do. See you. Bye!
She escaped her friends and went inside the washroom. After a while she came out in her usual jean kurti and her hair held in a messy bun with a catch clip. She mumbled a fast bye and went out of the hostel in her usual way.
She reached the Theta club and went in. There Akash was sitting near the bar in his casual white shirt and dark blue jean. She was shamelessly checking him out while he turned making her face go red and hung it down. Akash could sence it even in that dark place. He just smiled at her embarrassed face. He asked his friend to replace him and joined her.
Akash: come there is our seat.
Payal: is it your duty time?
Akash: Don't mind, I will manage with extra time.
Payal: but...
Akash: come on... lets discuss for what we are here.
Payal saw the genuine smile and followed him. Akash got her a OJ and sat opposite to her.
Payal: err.. Akash ji.. I am Sorry, for everything...
Akash: Shh!! Call me Akash. And I am sorry about that stalking business. It was actually that club manager. The day he saw you, he laid his eye on you. He was just looking for a chance to hook n get you. I came to know it and I started following you, ruining his chances. That's how I ended up stalking you. But yesterday was heights. He heard about youe movie plan and he planned to follow you to the theatre so that he can take his chance in that dark hall. So I had to do something.
Payal: how mad I was. You kept saving me and I handed over you to cops?
Akash: well that was also for good. His plan anyway got ruined.
Payal(guilty): I am sorry.. Err.. Akash. I never had good opinion on men except my bauji n bhai. The way you kept stalking, irked me. And your flirting yesterday dint help. Let me be frank and straight forward. The minute I saw you, I started getting attracted to you strongly. That irked me more, as I am not like any girl. I am Payal Gupta. This only put you through all these. Sorry!!
Akash smiled at her confession while Payal looked straight in his eyes that were behind his specs.
Akash: Well!! If your opinion on me is now clear, then shall we be.. Ahem.. Friends?
Payal smiled and shook her hands with his that he forwarded.
From that day both became inseparable. Notes exhanges and combine study in parks and visit to clubs became frequent. Both were aware of the fire that was growing between them. Both being straight forward, dint deny that too. They were going along with the flow.
BUT SOMETHING ELSE WAS ON ITS WAY!!!😉
