Versatile actress Kamalika Guha Thakurta, who began her career in television with Balaji Telefilm's trend setter Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, now gets back to working with Ekta Kapoor again. The actress will be seen in yet another challenging role in Ekta's upcoming show on Zee TV,Kumkum Bhagya.
A source says the actress has been roped in to play the Tayji of the male lead Shabbir Ahluwalia.She has not started shoot yet, but things have been finalized.
Kamalika was last seen on screen in Sahara One's Jhilmil Sitaron Ka Aangann Hoga. With Balaji Telefilms, her last show was Sarvagunn Sampannon Imagine TV.
When contacted, Kamalika confirmed the news saying, "Yes, it is a happy feeling to be back with Balaji Telefilms. I will be playing an integral role in Kumkum Bhagya."
As we know,Kumkum Bhagya has Sriti Jha, Mrunal Thakur, Shabbir Ahluwalia and Faisal Rashid in lead roles.We will soon come up with more updates.
