Rest two and half days, they kept driving, taking turns in it and stopping when their body gave up.

It was five in the morning and they were standing at the gate of Havelli in Amritsar. Maan was nervous.

Maan knocked the big Iron Gate. After 10 minutes it was opened by a lady, Maan bent down "Pranam chachi"

His chachi kept looking at Maan shocked and Geet at the lady on gate.

"wow, at last you remember this is your home." Came a super taunting welcome. Geet was shocked, seeing someone after so long, how could one speak like this. There was no sign of welcoming.

How the lady - his Chachi, could ignore the bandage on his fore head. The bandage which badly needed dressing.

However Geet bent down to touch her feet "I am Geet, Maan's wife" A super shocker to Chachi - Parminder.

"Shadi ker lee?? " she asked confused and seemed unpleasant with the news.

By then a man came down "who is on door this early?"

"Tum?" he said seeing Maan. "yes, and he has come with his wife" she said in super annoyed tone.

Geet was shocked, hearing it in moderated version from Maan and facing it was different, how can they welcome someone at home, like this, esp. when anyone is visiting after a year and that too all injured.

Maan went ahead to touch his feet too, Geet hated it when the man had no manner to bless but only say "Ok OK". But as Maan did it, she went ahead too "Mam you don't need to do these" He definitely wanted to keep her out of his family's cheap drama. Let her stay here till things calm down and then he will send her off to her own world.

But Geet went ahead and touched the feet of the Man, but the arrogant man moved back "what's all this Maan" he demanded.

Geet's tolerance was on edge "Maan where is mother? We need her blessings before entering"

Maan was irritated himself, can't she forget this wifely drama for a while, but he could not voice his irritation. That's what he was, he got angry with peoples attitude towards him, he got irritated but he have been habituated to not voice it.

Whenever he have tried to voice his will, he have faced so much messy drama at home that he preferred keeping quiet and that have gone into him.

Keeping all his patience "It's Ok, we will go inside and meet her." Though he didn't want her to meet his mother and feel sympathetic toward mother son for their condition. He wanted to keep mother son relation between two only. There was no place for third in that.

But Geet was adamant as always "No, how can I enter house without her blessing. She is your strength Maan, she will be mine too".

By the time they called for Maan's mother and by the time she came down, all other family members were there, shocked to see Maan married and with such a beautiful girl; his elder cousin, his bhabhi, his younger cousin sister and younger cousin brother.

None gave welcoming look to Maan but definitely a shocking and absurd look

"So Maan babu is a married man now" said Pradeep, his elder cousin, taunting.

"And he doesn't care for his younger sister at home, what was so hurry of marriage Maan veerji" complained his cousin Nidhi

He had not even entered the house and they have declared him culprit. Geet was surprised, how was Maan able to take all this crap this quietly, But not anymore.

"wo majboori thi humaree isliye yeh sab ho gaya" He tried to explain

"Majboori, Babhi ji, Maan veerji se badi bhi koi majbooriho saktee hai?, that you have to marry him" Laughed out his younger cousin Vikram.

Geet felt suffocated, she breathed out deeply to calm her overflowing anger. But she knew she is not going to take or let Maan take this crap any more but for now she need to know things in better way.

But then her eyes went on a lady in wheel chair by a girl in her mid 20's. Maan's eye soften only at her look and Geet knew she was Maan's mom.

But as she approached, the sight became painful for Geet. Her one side was completely paralyzed and she looked in more miserable condition physically than how Maan had explained.

Everything was more extreme then what Maan had explained, maybe he was so used to it.

She came near and Maan bent down to hug her and placed his head on her lap "Maa". Her eyes were moist, his eyes were moist. The scene was so serene that all the humiliation faded away. Geet's eye became moist.

But then his mother, Savitri's eye went on his bandage and she became restless "yeh yeh kya" she said with restlessness and looked at Geet, but Geet realized she has problem in speaking too.

Ohh what a difference, it's only his mother whose attention went to his wound while other just ignored it. How could they ignore such wound of him. The bandage was old and it needed dressing badly, but these people completely ignored it. What kind of people are they?

Geet was lost when she felt a pull in hand "kai"kaise? " she signaled to Maan's bandage; for her it didn't matter who Geet was, she brought her son in this condition was all she knew.

Maan moved his head from the lap.

"Danger? " she looked at Maan worried "Maa, everything is fine. She is Geet Ma..." Geet stopped Maan "Geet, I am Geet. We are married now but I want your blessing for our life ahead"

Maan's mother looked at Maan, she was so happy. Nothing mattered to her now, how he married, why he married. He has a wife, a beautiful wife who will lead a life with him. This was something for first time he has for himself.

She gave blessings to Geet "always be happy, is pagle ko bhi khusi seekha do" suddenly the old women started weaving so many dreams

"I will, just keep your blessings on us."

"Bas ho gaya, or should we call whole neighborhood to see the reuinion. Can you guys comein." announced Parminder

But Maan's mom stopped them there, she said something to the girl, her care taker. Then she let Maan and Geet enter after doing their aarti and then Geet putting leg on the kalash filled with rice.

All others looked irritated, even Maan was. She will go in few days, why to put all this drama. But Geet loved it and was so excited.

Maan took the chair handle from the care taker and moved with his mother but he felt Geet was following him and entered his mother's room with him. Maan did not like it actually, he had so much to get on with his mother. Geet slightly closed the door

"Mam woo" he looked here and there, how to say she was not needed here

"Maan you need dressing first and you are not doing anything before that" she had her own priority.

Maan was so irritated. The moment he entered this house, people's behavior towards him pushed him to end. His life was so complicated, and she was making it more complicated. He was ok with whatever he was handling; he did not have strength to handle any new issues and complication.

"Mam I am fine. Aap rest kijiye na" he said keeping all his calm."Nahi" Geet was admant "you are taking rest and I am changing our dressing, samjhe" she declared

Savirti devi called Geet near her "he he don't ca- care for himself. Aise ja-b-arda-sti hee" Geet understood.

"I will don't worry Maa. I will not give you any complain." Geet was his Mam but even her interference he did not like between his and his mother's regime.

Geet force fully made Maan sit on the bed of his mother, gave him the medicine, he reluctantly took it. She then started on his dressing

"Mam, you don't need to worry, woo Rajji hain na ker degi." Geet did not like him being more comfortable with that care taker doing it.

"I will do it, get that" she was so angry on him now "she can get me everything, ok."

Raji went cribbing "I have been taking care of his mother and today he brought this shehri girl as his wife."

Even Maan's chacha- Ranveer and family have been planning to marry the no use Maan with Rajji, she will run on their order and this sudden marriage has put them all in shock.

But unknown to Maan, he was too exhausted. First with wound but he kept ignoring it in family drama of his. He immediately dozed off with the healing touch of Geet and peaceful presence of his mother.

Maan's mother then called Geet near.. in her slow tone she talked with Geet telling her that "Maan is not weak as he thinks or present. He is very strong and smart, he is brilliant, my son is much brilliant than all these people, siliye to inlogon ne, leave it. I trust you with him, don't let me down. Don't come in words of these people."

She took her own time to talk her heart with Geet. She was her family, her son's family. She was so happy with that, at last her son was getting settled.

"I will never let you down. Maan is my life now, trust my word. I will take care of both of you."

But then Geet became quiet "he don't want me in his life, why? "

"Pagal hai, anything that may give him happiness he will keep away, fearing it will be taken away from him. Mere alawa kisi ko dil ke paas nahi aane deta, band ker liya hai apne dill ke darwaze ko. Bas mere liye jeeta hai, apnee itnee bhi parwah nahi usse"

Geet patiently sat there giving her full time to say her heart "Main sab badal doongee, I promise."

Geet was so pained but with that came her determination. In just this few days she felt she has matured so much, grown so much as human and she is seeing life so closely. The pain that existed here was completely alien to her and the love that was here was also alien to her, so pure. She was learning the new meaning of life and determined her, was taking it all as a learning lesson to move on in life ahead with Maan.

However hard he tries, she will never leave him nor let him leave her. They were bonded to take care of each other and guard each other in their own way and Maan cannot change it now.
