Part 8
Soon Madhu came out of her vanity as she couldnt get herself to stay inside as the image of RK and the new girl floated in her mind. Each second that she spent in the vanity she felt like RK would be spending that second with her.
She went to the set and saw RK sitting in a chair and working on his lines. She felt relaxed seeing him alone and busy with his script. She decided to read her script on the set too as being inside the vanity was not helping her anyhow to concentrate. Here at least she would be assured and would be able to concentrate.
"Hey you... Get me a chair... and yes a juice too..." Madhu's temper mostly remained on a high but today she was in a devil mode.
The spot boy gave her a chair instantly and in no time all her necessary items were all around her. She looked around satisfied amd started to read her script.
Soon Madhubala was lost in her script. The surroundings blurred for her and all that was on her mind was the script. After a good 20 minutes Madhu looked up as she completed her scene. She saw the preparations around her with scrutinizing eyes and took a sip. as she gulped down the juice her eyes fell on RK again sitting with the same girl. She felt anger gripping her heart. When the hell did she come here. I didnt even notice her and why is she with RK. She thought to herself. But Madhu decided to stay where she was. It wasnt her to interrupt someone or stick to them. She sat there and glared at the two. RK seemed quite happy talking to her and this made her feel even more furious.
It felt like ages to Madhu but in not more than 5 mimutes RK looked her way. As soon as he saw her watching him his face got brighter. He gestured her hello. Madhu felt relaxed and happy. But for some reason she wanted him to come to her.
RK gestured her something else which she couldnt understand. She made a confused face. One reason for that was also that she hoped he would come to her to convey his message. Much to her relief RK excused himself from the girl and walked to her.
" Hi... Greatt day right..." he said smiling at her.
"yeah.. Looks like its much better for you" she said sarcastically.
"Yes ofcourse... seeing you every morning what could be better than that" RK said flirtingly.
Madhu almost blushed at that but she needed to dig out information.
"You are quite a flirt RK... Looks like you were doing the same with the girl there" Madhu said a bit playfully so that be might not take it as being jealous.
"Girl...! Ohhh Dipali.." RK said as if he didnt even remember the girl he was sitting with just seconds back.
'so it is her... I can swear I could kill her...' Madhu thought to herself.
"Dipali... Ohh.. Is she your friend or sister... Came to see your shooting?" Madhu asked acting innocent.
"You dont know... " he asked confused. "I think Neha hasnt briefed you yet" He said playfully.
Poor Neha..! She did her job yet she was being blamed...
"why.. Is it something I should know" Madhu asked him acting as if she doesnt care and flipping through the pages of her script.
"She is the new actress... Here for Priya's role.. You know Priya right?"
"Of course I know... I know whats in my story and my script.." Madhu was annoyed with RK as he all the time thought that Madhu would not have read her script or the story. "Okay... so she is the actress..." Madhu nodded her head with narrowed eyes trying to scrutize her.
"Actually she was asking about you.. She wants to meet you... but is a bit nervous... so she was asking me to introduce her to you.. But then we saw that you were quite engrossed in the script so we waited for you" RK explained to her.
"okay" Madhu said disinterested and also felt disgusted the way RK referred to him and Dipali as 'WE'.
"should I call her?" RK asked her not recieving a proper response from her
"Yes of course.." she forced a smile. What else could she have said.
RK gestured her to come and Dipali came to them nervously.
"So Madhu. This is Dipali.."
Madhu gave her a cordial smile. Dipali excitedly forwarded her hand for a shake and Madhu had to shake hands.
"Mam... I am a big fan of yours.. Really" Dipali says excited giving her a big smile.
"well I must say you have a great choice.." Madhu said raising her eyebrows at her and a smile.
Dipali laughed hearing that. "Really mam you are amazing... I have loved all your roles.." She smiled at her
Hearing this Madhu couldnt help but smile and this time genuinely.
"Thanks.. So I hope you are good at your work too" Madhu said as she kept her right leg over the left leg.
RK smiled remembering how she had tested him the same way. She was really particular about the quality of work around her. He thought.
"and may I know the reason of your smile" Madhu asked him turning to him with a frown as she thought he was making fun of her.
" oh.. nothing.. I just remembered my first day here... " he said winking at her.
Madhu chuckled at him as she remembered how she had felt disgusted hearing of him. But then had felt the guitars and the K2H2 music that played in the back ground when she saw him. Though it was actually those musicians praticing but she still felt those tunes in her heart too.
"I hope you appreciate me... I have worked a little..." Dipali says nervously not able to understand what she should reply.
"okay... we will see that..." Madhu says arrogantly and engrosses herself back in her script, implying her to leave.
Dipali smiles.. "I... would take your leave then..." she says nervously.
Madhu looks up at her for a second and smiles formally and then drops her head back to her script.
Dipali turns back and walks away. RK felt like Madhu is not in mood to talk and studying her dialogues, so he gets up too and looks at her as he turned back. But before he turned Madhu looked up with a smile..
"Where are you going" Madhu asked as she looked up at him.
"You are busy so... I think I shouldnt disturb you... " He said giving her a smile.
" that was for her..." she said with a face as if it should have been obvious.
"Ohhooo.. so you wanted to have some PRRIIVATE time with me... Ahaan " he said smirking and raising an eyebrow.
This time however much she tried Madhu couldnt help herself and her cheeks got a tinge of red seeing Rishabh's smirk.
Rishabh looked at her amazed. He hadnt seen her blush like that. 'I fell in love with her again.. ' he was thinking to himself.
Madhu had by now recovered, she just looked at him wth narrowed eyes... " I am seeing nowadays you are quite a lot hinting at me..."
" Oh really?" RK asked acting innocent.
Madhu laughed seeing his expression shook her head side to side. "You are a flirt RK... "
RK wished he could hold her by the arms and tell her that its love and not flirt... but he knew he couldnt.
"So... I should be moving.. I have scene with Dipali.. " he said disheartened.
Madhu's smile dropped hearing Dipalis name. But she forced a smile and nodded her head in agreement. RK walked away. Madhu wanted to follow him and be there during the scene as she couldnt stand the thought of RK and Dipali being together and that too in her absence. But she couldnt do anything about that. She had a shoot too. So she just decided to read her script and frown.

Meanwhile RK reached the set and saw Dipali getting her make up done. He looked around and frowned.
"Bittu ji...!" he called out to Bittuji seeing him chatting around with a girl.
Bittuji jerked and sharply turned to look at him. With an embarrased expression he excused himself from the girl and walked to RK.
"Yes Chief.." he said wishing that RK wont get mad at him.
" Bittu ji.. we haven't even started our carrier properly and i can see that you are having all kinds of future plans going on here.." RK said with a frown taunting him.
"No Chief.. vo she was just asking..." he tried to clarify himself.
"and i am asking you Bittuji where is my make up, hair, script.. Look around we are here for a shoot not for interview that you would answer useless questions.. you are here to answer me. "
"Sorry Chief..." Bittuji said nervously.
"Okay now.. lets get to work..." He said as he took the script from Bittuji's hand.
Not long after the shoot started. RK and Dipali sat on the bench and the scene began. Dipali held RK's hand and the scene had a few emotional elements and the hero wanting to confess his love to the heroine but had couldnt do so due to his own problems and his friend trying to help him out to understand the conflicts of his mind. Somehow, RK felt related to his character. He loved Madhu but couldnt express his feelings to her because he didnt think himself good enough for her. He felt dragged away from the scene. And the director screamed CUT..! RK felt embarrased that because of him the scene had to be shot again.
Just then the director shouted..
"Dipali... What are you doing..." he said irritated. He had been trying to cover her up through the camera angles as she was totally distracted.
"Sorry sir I was..." Dipali tried to cover it up.
"Focus a little.." He said to her calming his tone.
RK felt relieved that it wasnt him. He had made an impression by now that he gave One Take shots.. so he had to keep up to his own standard. He comforted Dipali through his expression.
The scene started again but yet again Dipali got it wrong. It had been 7 takes and the scene wasnt up to the mark. The Director asked her to have a break and get herself relaxed and focused. Dipali was embarrased so she went away.
RK looked at her and felt sorry. He took a deep breath and went to sit near the director.
" Whats happening? " He said relaxing his head in the chair rest. He was really exhausted now.
"Dont ask... She is not at all focused.. God knows what is happening... 2 hours and a simple scene is not wrapping up.." The director said thoroughly irritated.
"Ok ok.. But cool down... I have heard people here have these issues a lot of times. Like scenes get hung up like this alot." RK asks him confused.
"Yeaahhh You are right... Actually with Madhubala and you I have totally got out of that habit... There are virtually no mistakes..." he said nodding hus head thoughtfully.
"Thanks for that... I am glad I am too a reason for spoiling you.. " RK said playfully.
"Yeah really... you are really natural actor... and with you and Madhubala.. The scene comes out so natural and spontaneous... i find the scenes a perfect balance when you two are in my frame.. You both have really mind blowing chemistry... Perfect together..." he said smiling.
RK felt overjoyed hearing him. Madhu and him look perfect together... That sounded perfect to him. Suddenly he wanted to see Madhubala so he excused himself and went away to look for her.
