Ludhiana, September, 5: The vast sets and foreign locales has already reached Tellywood from Bollywood. But in terms of fashion, there's a stark difference between the two worlds. A great deal has been done to make our film heroines look beautiful by bringing in professional style and fashion experts: the Kajol bob-cut (Kuch Kuch Hota Hai), Preity's permed locks (Dil Chahta Hai) or the designer clothes which our Bollywood brigade has been wearing of late are witness to the glamour and touch of modernity acquired by our film stars. However, our Tellywood heroines have still to shed off their sati-savitri bharatiya nari looks. The Indian bun and bindis or the long hair tied in plaits still adorn our Tulsis, Parvatis, Prernas, Poojas and our Miss Plain Jane Jassi. |
