No Redemption for Zain?

Zain is such an odd hero. He's immature. He doesn't work. He's spoiled. He's selfish. Sure, he had the lover-boy qualities going for him a few weeks ago. But now? He's awful Aliyah. I think all his faults come from his immaturity. However, I can't help but wonder how Zain will be able to redeem himself. He caused Aliyah and her entire family shame. If he had not been so flirtatious with her, she would have been able to marry again. But her reputation was trampled on due the fact that people believed that she had an affair with Zain. I agree that Aliyah shouldnt have gone back on her word. But it seems really dumb to me that Zain doesn't even have the courage to go against his father's word. He wants to stay golden in everyone's eyes while making Aliyah suffer.

The truth of the matter is that each and every character is complex. There is no perfect hero or heroine in this show. They are all jaded. I thoroughly enjoy this fact. I never know what to expect out of the characters. While I clearly do have some opinions, I love the direction in which this show is heading. I know Zain will redeem himself. He has the qualities within him to redeem himself, become mature, and realize the truth. Aliyah will learn to accept her own mistakes and move forward in her marriage. I'm thoroughly pleased with this show so far. While it does have some cliche Indian soap drama aspects, I can't help be surprised at every which turn.
