RECAP : Rey finds out that Tanisha was in NY before coming to Mumbai. During a dance rehearsal with Kriya he imagines Tanisha in Kriya's place. Irritated he breaks up with Kriya. Somewhere a stranger wants the girl he loves.
CHAPTER 5
CONFUSION HI CONFUSION HAI
Leaving a heartbroken Kriya in the college RH. Rey talks with VP sir and convinces him that the couple dance was a bad idea and gets it cancelled. Still confused about his feelings and annoyed with himself for imagining Tanisha everywhere he goes to an empty classroom to take out all his frustration.
R : (lifts a chair then slams it on the floor with full force) DAMN IT ! HO KYA RAHA HAI MERE SAATH?
(pushes the table in front of him) HAR JAGAH MUJHE TUM HI KYU NAZAR AA RAHI HO?
Taani had overheard Rey and VP sir's discussion and had followed Rey to the classroom after taking her hoodie and mask from the girl's locker room. As she stood outside the classroom listening to Rey's frustated shouts.
T : (smirks) OH ! To tumhe ye bhi nahi pata ki tumhe jhatka laga... TANISHA naam ka jhatka...
R : (shouts) TANISHA MEHRA !!!
T : (suddenly alert) Mera naam kyu le raha hai?
R : (throwing whatever he could lay his hand on) TANISHA... Mujhe to tumse nafrat honi chahiye but I can't hate you... nahi kar sakta tumse nafrat... (looks up and shouts) ... PAR KYU NAHI ?
T : (grins) Interesting...To main tumhe har jagah nazar aati hu...
R : TUM MUJHE AKELA KYU NAHI CHODTI?
Rey had his back towards the classroom entrance. Seizing the opportunity, Taani puts on her hoodie and mask and stands leaning on the entrance. Rey was caught up in his turmoil of emotions and frustration to notice Taani enter the room.
T : (asks seductively) So tumhe har jagah main nazar aati hu?
R : (turns on hearing the voices and gets lost in Taani's beauty. Suddenly Rey's cell starts ringing. He sees that Vicky was calling) Is Vicky ko bhi abhi hi call karna tha? (and disconnects the call. But by that time Taani had already sneaked out of the room but was still standing outside not visible to Rey) GREAT! Pehle tum mujhe sirf dikhti thi aur... (now fully pissed off) AUR AB SUNAI BHI DENE LAGI HO ! (again turns with his back towards the entrance)
T : (to herself) Ye game to abhi shuru hua hai Reyaansh... (takes out her cell and starts playing a recording of Swayam)
Sw rec : Rey! Tu thik to hai na?
R : (thinking it's Swayam, doesn't turn) Pata nahi yaar. (shaking his head) Kuch samajh nahi aa raha hai. Dekh I know ye sahi nahi hai but har jagah... in fact Kriya me bhi... sirf Tanisha dikhti hai. Tu samajh raha hai na mai kya keh raha hu... (and turns back only to find himself alone in the room) Mai kahin pagal to nahi ho gaya hu? I mean Main Tanisha ko imagine karta hu to logic banti hai ki hum dono ke bich koi connection hai (again turns and slams his fist on the wall and shouts in frustation) BUT MAIN SWAYAM KI AWAZ KYU IMAGINE KAR RAHA HUN??
T : (again sneaks in and stands at the entrance) What's the connection between us Reyaansh?
R : (turns to face Taani but still thinks he's imagining her) Yehi.. yehi to coonection hai. I mean tumhe aur koi kaam nahi hai except mujhe har jagah dikhne ke? (keeps on speaking) I know the moment main tumhari taraf badhunga... BOOM ... aur tum gayab ! (sits on a nearby desk) You know what I HATE YOU (points towards Taani) ... NO! But I should hate you ! And here I am imagining you everywhere. Trying to know more about you. (continues with his talk) Yeh tmse dance me haarne ke after-effects hai kya? Tum thakti nahi ho? Pehle dance me harao... fir har jagah nazar aao ...dance karo ...in short usse pagal bana do. (gets up and moves towards the door) Aur main bhi pagal hu... Janta hu ki jaise hi turn karunga tum gayab ho jayegi hamesha ki tarah (crosses Taani and moves away from the room) ... fir bhi lagta hai jaise tum sahi main ho yahan...(a ball of crumpled paper hits him at his back.)
Rey turns but there was no Taani only a crumpled piece of paper which he picks up and reads.
R : (his eye wide in shock) WO SAHI MAI THI... (and leaves for the canteen)
Here in girls locker room;
T : (to herself) So Reyaansh ko laga ki wo mujhe imagine kar raha hai... (chuckles) Hope usse message mil gaya hoga. (keeping her hoodie and mask back in the locker) Mujhse milne ka venue janne ke liye tumhe apna 'PEACE OF MIND' khona pada. Nothing comes for free darling. (and she also leaves for the canteen)
Rey and Taani collided with each other as both were coming from opposite directions. Rey was still thinking about Tanisha and the message while Taani was busy surfing through her notes.
TaaRey : (together) OUCH !
R : Hey ! Are you all right?
T : (looked up at Rey and nodded her head)
R : Taani? Swayam's sister, right?
T : (again nodded her head, picked up her notes and left from there)
R : WIERD ! (to himself) But uski aankhein bilkul Tanisha jaisi hai. (slaps himself) FOCUS REY, FOCUS ! Wo Taani hai... TAANI and not Tanisha ! Aise bhi aaj sham saari baatein clear ho jayengi ... Here I come Tanisha Mehra !
