"Take some" the man offered Kria bread. She took it all. She hadn't eaten since 2 days. Under the wrap of blanket, she was feeling warmth and hopeful.

"Where are you going?" Kria asked.

"I am just going to this small town. But don't worry, you will find a bus from there for Cape Town." Man answered.

She was positive now. Sudden positive events were unbelievable for her. She had an eye over iron rod under the seat in case. Truck took a bumpy turn and came on a smooth road. They were on highway she guessed. There were vehicles crossing.

"Do you have phone?" she asked that man.

"Yeah!" he offered his mobile.

Kria dialed Rey's number. It was ringing but nobody was answering.

"Sir! This way!" a butler headed Rey towards Elena's lounge.

She was standing naked back facing sea. Long pony tail was flaunting her back. Rey walked towards her and she turned around.

"Almighty must be kind on me that I see you in such a beautiful evening." She said to him while wrapping her arms around him.

"Yeah! He is kind on you that you are even taking breath right now." Rey spoke while getting rid of her grip.

"Tough nut! Huh? You were always rough and rogue." She caressed his cheek.

Rey took her wrist and twisted it behind her back. "Enough of drama, Where is Kria?" he asked.

"my my! I love it fierce!" she closed the gap between them by putting her lips on his. Rey pushed her hard. She was pushed to floor. "How can I know where your little girlfriend is?" She said while standing up.

"You must know about her whereabouts." She added.

"Don't play your stupid games with me Elena. I know about your plan. I know about those scrolls. You were implanting doubt in her mind about us." Rey said in one breath.

"Oh really! What is there between us anyways which can lead me to do something like this? Huh?" she asked while adjusting her long gown around her half naked leg.

Rey reverted back on her, "A lot of jealousy with Kria. Can't you get that whatever happened between us in France was mere attraction? I was young and I couldn't stop myself. And you have Leo, think about him."

"I don't have. I don't have him since then." She sat on sofa.

"That mistake cost me his love. He isn't same. Things between us aren't same." She added. Tears flew down her cheek.

"I crave for love. I try to find warmth in each touch. I agree I want you, I want love, touch of love, just a touch!" she blurt out.

Lights were running when she looked out of window. She was counting shop lights. They were in town. That man stopped the truck and said, "Lady! That's all I can do!" She thanked him and stepped out of truck. She started walking. That kind man stopped her and gave a little money. "I guess that will cover fair expense to Cape Town." He said while giving her money.

Kria couldn't utter a word out of adoration. He drove his truck to his destination.

Rey didn't pick up the phone. She tried his number entire way but no one picked. "Will he be fine?" she was afraid. Last time she saw him, he was on hospital bed. She was worried.

"And retrenching her from me will give you that warmth??" Rey asked in disgust.

"I won't even think about retrenching her from you" she snapped on him furiously.

She added, "I am not that heartless after all."

"Elena! Wrap up your drama! I am tired of this bullshit" Rey said with frustration.

"What made you think that I would do anything wrong to your girlfriend?" she asked

"Your scent all over the scrolls which you sent to Kria, your pawn Sharon, your craving for me, your jealousy with Kria! Do I need to mention anything more??" he said.

"What you talking about? What scrolls? What pawn??" She was clueless.

Walking down the blocks, Kria was asking people about bus stand. Nobody helped though. Her cloths and condition wasn't helping at all. Eyes were on her. She entered a STD booth, and dialed his number, yet again no response. All she wanted was, fly to him and ensure his well being.

"This is shocking. Someone was sending your girlfriend scrolls and I am getting blamed." Elena said after hearing the whole story.

"Tell me where she is? Elena!" Rey asked.

"Believe me Reyansh, I have nothing to do with her going missing." Elena said.

"Someone is taking advantage of our past" she added. "And Sharon, do you seriously believe her? I don't know about myself but she can stoop even lower than your expectations to prevent you from knowing the truth" She asked Rey to give it a thought.

Rey was mum. He had nothing to say. Both were sitting since minutes quiet and clueless. He was there with Elena. She had him. If she was the convict, then her motive would have been accomplished. Rey was somewhere convinced that Elena isn't lying.

"Can I take whiff of the scent you are talking about?" she asked.

"Yeah! Sure! Lemme bring those scrolls?" he said.

"Damn it! Scrolls are in car and so as my phone." He held his head in frustration.

He searched his pockets. "I should have one scroll with me" he murmured.

"Here it is." He gave it to Elena.

She smelled it. "Mine so mine!" she said.

"I use customized edition of estee lauder. And it's so mine." She told him.

"What does that mean?" Rey asked.

"That means...well! That means bygone isn't forgiven." She said smirking.

"Elena! I don't have time for such puzzles." Rey was tired.

"It isn't easy for me to talk straight." She said.

"You know! Love hurts and it's revengeful" Elena added while sipping wine.

"You and I aren't forgiven after all" she gulped the entire glass. "I won't give him in like that. I am living hell everyday and this could finally end it all" she added.

"Seeing you tormented and broken might sooth his hurt heart. And I might see the love in him. After all he didn't let me go all these years." Her mascara was smudged with tears.

With broken voice she continued, "It's all good happening for me. But how would I live such happy life? Huh?" she rested her head on Rey's shoulder.

"I am not getting anything Elena!" Rey uttered.

"Go meet your friend Reyansh! It's time to meet him! He shall give you her address" Elena said and walked towards bar.

"It's Leo!" she said and fell due to inebriation.

Rey was dumbstruck. She was drinking from wine bottle. He went to her and stopped her from drinking more.

"I can't believe it that it's still on. Yours and Leo's enmity is still going on. See! We girl suffers!" she uttered and melted in his arm.

"You still identify my scent" she giggled and mildly kissed him on lips and said "good bye Reyansh"

Rey wanted to thank and apologize but couldn't.

Leo wasn't anywhere. Reyansh searched for him everywhere. He wasn't home with Elena. Usually he stays under cover so it was difficult to track him.

Rey reached hospital.

"I was hell worried" Neha hugged him while saying.

"Where the hell is your phone?" she asked.

"I left it in car by mistake." Rey said.

His eyes were telling that he was somewhere guilty for Elena's misery all these years.

It's a man, the one who used to instruct Kevon" Neha told Rey.

"I know" he said and left to take his phone from car.

"Was she just afraid or someone was actually following her?" Kria thought.

She got to know that there was no bus since after noon for Cape Town. She had to spend night there.

Rey saw numerous missed calls on his cell from different numbers. He called back. Nobody received first one.

He tried the second number. A man picked up.

"Hello! I saw your missed call on my number." Rey asked.

"Sir! I am sorry! I didn't call you." That man replied.

"Oh! There must be some mistake." Rey disconnected the call.

He leaned on his car. Now he knew the convict but he didn't know about his location.

"Kria! Just hold on! I am gonna get you!" he thought.

Kria hid behind a big container. Someone was following her. She was feared. She was asking God to speed up the time and show the dawn. These haunting shadows were killing her.

She fell asleep as soon as she found some warmth.

Rey's phone rang. He picked up immediately.

"I think the girl called on this number." It was same man calling.

"who? Kria?" Rey asked quickly.

"I don't know the name of Lady. She was Indian and was really afraid." he told.

Rey took a breath of relief.

Rey matched Kria's description with that man and he couldn't know when his eyes started flowing in happiness.

"I dropped the fine lady at this small town" that man told.

Rey thanked him and took the name of town.

He left for that town soon enough. His smile was back and his eyes were longing for seeing her.

Shadows were still wandering around container but she was wrapped in darkness, a sleeping child of God in warmth of his blessing.
