Loved reading your beautiful take on PaRud scenes. Watching them in the same frame in itself a treat to watch, and them being almost comfortable with each others presence is icing on the cake.
As you said i too feel that Thakurain is very close to heading to Chandangarh.

Very very nice analysis of Paro Rudra scenes .. The awkwardness is the most obvious result of the situation.. and the reactions of both the characters are absolutely natural..
Suddenly Paro has become something else for Rudra, not the lone witness anymore, something more which he is not comfortable with.. the unease has been deepened by his father's proposal and Laila's reaction.. Things are not the same anymore with him about that 'Ladki'!

And for Paro, Rudra is not a Jallad anymore.. she doesn't know what he is .. All these are new to her and she is trying to settle in without judging..

Thakurainsa she ally proved that she and Kakisa are sisters and I liked what she did!

I am here to give my two-paisas about the episode, but I think everyone has done it beautifully already on your post, Jeeja-Sa.

See, what I'll like so much about Rangrasiya always is, that EACH and EVERY character has layers. It is not easy to really handle a show, where it is supposed to be an intense love story with explosive leads, and then give such important side characters as well.

Take Thakurain-Sa for instance, we saw that she is not as pure and naive as she was initially etched out to be in our minds. Last night's episode showed us, that she doesn't care to delve into gray areas to get what she want, even going behind the back of her "All Powerful Thakur-Sa".

Same goes for Mohini... See, everybody loves to hate her. I do too, and I think the writers have the most fun giving her dialogues. Everybody has always seen her spouting venom only... But last night, when she was done scolding Sumer for being out the whole night, in the last few seconds, she asked Maithili to make Tea for her son, before he goes out... "Bachcha bhookha pet naa jaaye.." There... There we saw that she is a MOTHER as well... Who, no matter how bad on the outside, still is proud of her baccha.

It'll break her heart when Sumer makes it public that he wants to sell the Haveli and go live in some vacation island or whatever.

Mohini and Mala are terrifyingly similar in some places, and I won't be surprised if we see such instances afterwards too... Where one can draw parallels between them.

Samrat and Maithili... About Maithili, initially I had found her to be just another dim-witted no spine bahu, just filling the screen space to give the necessary drama for TRPs... But no, there have been instances when she has been taking chutkis of her Saasu-Ma, like the time she cooks breakfast for Dilsher. She knows her Sasu-Ma will become insanely happy with her as soon as she bears a child, and somewhere she doesn't understand whom to blame for such misfortune on her. And that's when Samrat comes in and supports her.

He showed last night with the outburst, that he has a little bit of Mohini inside him too, he's not always the forever calm beta of Tanveer. But he was screaming at Maithili... He was screaming as to why the world wouldn't just leave him and his wife alone and stop frustrating him regarding his incompetency. I was so damn happy when he screamed, shouted, but not for once did he direct his anger at Maithili.

PaRud scenes ka mujhse toh koi dissection naa hoga Jeeja-Sa... Mai tab gadhe jaisi Muskaan leke muuh pe bas unko ghoor rahi hoti hu..

Aisi,

Really excellent take on the epi and so well written. I loved reading it especially because I felt awkward watching the epi...and put it down to things being off in the rudra-paro and rudra-sunehri interaction. But your reflection shows that perhaps the awkwardness was exactly what was intend3ed for us to feel! Things are so strange, undefined and painfully awkward between the two (and three!) Completely new feelings that can't yet be understood or named or even recognized are arising and so its of course out of sync...for all.

Thanks for such a lucid and insightful take...on all the scenes -- samrat and maithili, mala, chaci etc...(I really liked the quiet gravity of chhacha as well). hope the writers and director actually meant to convey all this that you write about :)
