Chapter 1
Ishita had just arrived at her office at 8.45 on Monday. She was 45 minutes late as Aditya was unwell, he was reluctant to go to the nursery and did not let go of her. Ruhi was making fun of her twin brother Aditya. Ishita had to bath them, feed them and make sure that they were properly dressed. Aditya was miserable because of the flue and Ruhi was fine but Ishita was not okay to let them stay at the nursery as Aditya was crying all the way home to the nursery.
Ishita was not in a good mood when she entered her office. Her best friend/ business partner Mihika was waiting for her and informed her that they have an appointment with someone who wants them to organize a function for him and she did not pay attention on the name.
Ishita looked at the name of the person and suddenly went pale.
'Are u okay' asked Mihika
'I can't see him Mihika, Raman Bhalla, no no no, Mihika that man is arrogant and I just can't see him please' exclaimed Ishita
Mihika looked at her friend as if she grew two heads.
'Don't look at me like that Mihika, you don't know this guy' said Ishita
Mihika did not know what to do except laughing at her friend's craziness.
'Yes you are, and shoot your appointment is in like 15 minutes, so you better relax. What's wrong with you, you know that we need money.' said Mihika
Ishita wanted to to cry and suddenly her eyes had tears, she wanted to cry so bad because she did not want to be in the same room with Raman.
Mihika was beyond angry.
' What is wrong with you, did you date that guy or something' Mihika asked curiously.
' We more than dated'
Mihika raised her eyebrows ' more than dated?' she raised her voice.
Mihika pulled out a chair and sat down with a mug of coffee in her hands ' Explain to me Ishita, what exactly are you saying' Mihika's mind was buzzing with guesses and she suddenly screamed
'Oh my god, are you guys married or something'
Ishita choked herself with water she was drinking. She quickly took the tissue on her desk, cleaned herself and throw it at the dustbin under her desk.
'Please don't be mad at me if I tell you' Ishita pleaded at her friend
'Why would I be mad at you, you are not making sense'
'because Raman is the twins father'
Mihika just laughed 'Come again... you know for a second I thought you said he was the twins father'
'What is wrong with you? Raman is Aditya and Ruhi's father' Mihika was about to swallow her coffee but she suddenly spit it out 'he is what'
Ishita looked away. She was ashamed because she told her friend everything but she did not have the guts to tell her this.
'You remember that holiday I had 4 years ago' Mihika nobbed her head. 'that is where I met him and we dated for three months and when I told him that I was pregnant he threw me out of his house and said to never come back or call him.'
Mihika was mad at her friend because they tell each other everything but that was not the case now because cassie did not trust her enough. Mihika stood up, went to the window and looked outside where a car was pulling down. She then looked at her friend and said
'looks like you don't have a choice anymore because he is here'
Ishita wanted the ground to open and swallow her at that moment. There a knock at her door and Mihika gave her a look that said we are not over with this conversation. She went to the door and welcomed Raman, she then went to her office leaving Raman and Ishita with each other.
