Guys, one request - let's avoid discussing how they'll show the vastraharan scenes, and cross that bridge when we get to it. As it is, like the swayamvara episodes, it's unlikely to be discussed in the ATs - any of them.

I was under the impression that Suryadev just pulled out a baby out of thin air and produced it in Kunti's arms - like instant popcorn. 😆 I had no idea that Kunti was actually pregnant w/ Karna inside her womb for 9 or whatever months. I wasn't thinking anything more erotic 😆

So if Karna was handed over to Kunti like that, then Suryadev might have decided to have him wrapped in comfortable sheets 😆 Kunti would then have just put him in a basket & floated him away, which is why she'd never have seen him nude.

Oh, and I 'LIKE'd the opening post of that thread

I just helped deliver a baby in the Pedi tonight with fellow nurses and just wanted to say hello on here and what kind of conversation are you two having lol!??

if Suryadev gave her the child popping in her hands.. wont she check if her baby is Boy or a Girl 🤣.. if she can doubt Durvasa's boon why not Suryadevs words 😆 .. or may be she learnt the lesson there..

Yeah Adiparva says Karna was born 'immediately' but the vanaparva does give us in detail from which we can understand that everything happened as normal end to end..

If I remember right it says only she and her nurse new 'it'.. so that it is her pregnancy and her mommy tummy 😛

btw did u check Kunti's prayer for Karna before floating him? did that have any impact on you.. well for me it did a bit..

I also wanted to add I never understood one thing about Kunit's decision to abandon Karna in the river like that. Why didn't she take him to a Rishi's ashram or something? I am sure they would have respected her privacy and helped her. I understand why she had to abandon but disagree on the method she used to execute the matter.

What prayer? 😲 You are increasing my respect (for want of a better word) for Starbharat every day. I might risk liking Kunti, just as I now like Yudisthir (after reading the part in the Ashramvatika parva, where he said he didn't mourn Gandhari as she was there w/ her sons; he only mourned Kunti 😆 Looks like Starbharat depicts Yudisthir a lot more accurately than the traditional serials who always depict him as being super mahaan)

I doubt that the births of Karna or the Pandavas were the usual type of birth you encounter at the hospital. 😆 Gandhari's, yeah, Kunti's & Madri's, no!

Yeah, I agree w/ this. She could have done what Maneka did - hand him over either to a Rishi, or given his armor, ask one of her maids to pass it over to a soldier in Kuntibhoj's army to adopt. They'd have been happy to do it. Kunti could even have bound them to an oath of secrecy to protect herself.

This was Karna's birth story.. gave in the prev AT.. so Pandavas were also born the same way..
